She has so many techniques that help with whatever issue you're having as a singer. My daughter uses her warm ups whenever she needs to sing for theatre auditions/performances. Her breathing techniques have been particularly helpful. Marquita has a great gift at bringing out the elements in your voice that make you sound unique and original. Marquita's home is lovely and inviting and there is plenty of street parking. She's also very accommodating with schedule changes made in advance. i hate giving a 1 star review to a "CREATIVE TYPE" yes i said it TYPE ,…read more So after Zelle'ing ms Waters $90 in advance for a lesson , i realized having been hit by a drunk driver that i was too traumatized & called to reschedule , i called several days in advance to notify her & Ms Waters insisted I should still SHOW UP ? That should have been the first sign i was dealing with a self centered narcissist ? Seeing she had Zero sensitivity to my crucial situation YA THINK ? well it just gets better and better from there , INSTEAD of having the professionalism to email me forms to fill out , she waits till i get to her "CAT HOUSE" to hand me forms so that it would EAT into my $90 , NICE !!! as the hour progresses , i saw that she was very low on the scale of what i'm use to as far as TOP NOTCH REAL actual PROFESSIONAL vocal coaches are concerned ,& SADLY i am humbly scratching the surface here since i still havnt mentioned how rude & abrasive she was while sharply shouting @ me as to how I should park which later on she STATED there's actually no parking allowed ,& next time i'd have to park out on street and walk to her , GREAT !!! BEING the CLOCK WATCHER she turns out to be , She says lesson over & you get no vocalizing since you talked entire time !!! WOW just WOW , i'm wondering why she didn't clarify when i got there , that there's NO talking allowed ? NICE LADY !!! than i asked about vocalizations for practice ? & was told those only come with payment ? so i zelle'd her for 4 more lessons in advance , But still no mention of any kind of vocal exercises , & i was feeling EXTREMELY disrespected & her HAUTY holier then thou attitude just made it all the worse , THE REAL DEAL BREAKER came when i was taking my time walking out the door due to an injured left leg & she was practically physically shoving me out the door , i was begging her to take it easy as she screamed urgently for her BABIES , stating it was feeding time ( 5 cats ) & the ICING on the cake came when i driving out , the gate was bolted & chained locked & since i wasn't familiar with the layout of the parking lot , i called her & her anger had escalated @ that point to the level of insinuating i was not so brite !!! sorry ms waters i have no idea where i am & it's dark outside , @ that point i was done with the entire Crazy Cat Lady Drama & could clearly see this would not be a healthy learning environment for me so i pulled my car over & call Nancy Badger a protege of Ron Anderson (rip) who was literally the top in the world and worth the 1,500$ he charged !!! now i've booked a lesson with Nancy & i can't wait !!! ba bye Marquita !!! sorry but u don't practice all the PEACE & LOVE that you preach & as far as i'm concerned you OWE ME A FULL REFUND !!! you can fool some of the people some of the time but not all of the people all of the time !!! personally i was feeling WIZARD from the WIZARD of OZ vibes !!! sad situation singers BEWARE , enter with caution !!!!
