I just moved right down the way from golden bear, and I stopped by to check it out earlt this morning on my way to work. I was greeted by an employee named Abdul. Bro gave me hands down the best customer service experience I have ever had at a smoke shop. He was extremely friendly, had an exceptional knowledge of the inventory, made me feel very welcomed to the neighborhood and you can tell he genuinely cares and speaks from the heart. I could not speak highly enough. As someone who is an employer myself, i would be lucky to have that man interviewing for an open position. So shop owners, please give Abdul a raise, do whatever you have to do to keep someone like that! Employees like this are very hard to find. This is 100% my go to shop now, if this is how you operate your business I dont see any reason to take my business elsewhere. I've been going to Happy Daze here and there for pipes, king palms, and cbd gummies. I went in a…read morefew months ago to buy a $200 electronic dab rig. It did not work. I thought I was using it wrong, so I took it back to the store and asked the person behind the counter to plug it in there and see if it worked before trying to exchange it. He didn't want to plug it in to see if it would work (pretty sure he was high - which is fine as long as you can still do your job, but he was distracted and all over the place) but offered an exchange (would not give me a refund). They didn't have my unit in stock so he told me I could come back or pay more for a different unit. I didn't think I should have to pay more for something I bought that didn't work just because they didn't have the original in stock. He called his manager to see if they could offer me a different kind - and spent an hour on the phone with her going back and forth. I was really pissed to have to wait that long while they argued about what to do. He finally offered me a different unit that was on the floor. I took it to get out of there. Guess what, it didn't work either!!! So I'm out $200 for something that doesn't work which they will not refund or exchange for a working product. They also own Cigarette Depot and the other smoke shop on the same street. I try not to shop at any of the stores because I can't support their policies and customer service. I'm really disappointed. I've spent so much money at Happy Daze AND cigarette depot.

Not as wide of a variety on the tobacco front but I found what I came for. They also have an assortment of classic pipes (like, think Sherlock Holmes, not teenagers smoking weed) and you can buy cigar boxes in there if you want them for crafts or storage. It is one the few remaining old-school businesses still in the Embarcadero, which has become kind of a ghost town.

The owners came out immediately and helped me! They were truly angels sent from heaven. I tried to compensate them for their time but they wouldn't not allow me. Instead, they gave me directions to the nearest -best body shop. The body shop owners helped me at no-cost. I am forever indebted to the owners of Kings Cigars. I will be going to their store and purchasing merchandise to compensate them for coming to the rescue! Also, a lot of members of the community told me "oh yeah! They are so nice!!!!" So not only are they great but they are valued members of the community.
