Moved to the area and this is my go-to liquor store. They have the weird stuff like peanut butter flavored whiskeys, but also a great single malt collection. They also always have ice, which is awesome. Any time I've needed help finding some weird flavored vodka, they were super helpful. I really like it here. read more

Never thought I'd write a review for a liquor store, but have to for Adelphia....their prices are always low, the staff is always friendly, the place is always spotless and their humidor blows me away every time I step into it. They have a larger and better selection (quality wise) than most actual cigar shops than I've ever been to and the prices are excellent. Had a bad experience this evening. Went to purchase an item and my card was having a problem with the chip reader. The lady behind the counter was very nice and offered to have the other person ring me up on their register. The other person an older man had someone on his line and was going to help bring out the lady's stuff. The cashier told him that I was waiting to try to use his machine and he gave both of us an attitude by shaking his head in disgust that i wanted him to ring My item up. The lady apologized and I decided to take my business elsewhere to another liquor store in East Brunswick where i had no problem. Maybe this guy needed a nap as it was 6 pm, i don't know, but i won't be going back to that store anytime soon. read more

I've been to this store a bunch of times and what can I say, it's a liquor store. They always have all the good gift box sets around holiday time and last time I came on a Friday after work they were doing a whiskey tasting which was cool. Prices are good/average compared to competitors. Some other stores have a much larger craft beer selection but this one has almost everything you'd need liquor/wine wise. read more

With so many Liquor store options in East Brunswick it's hard to have a favorite. All of them have their time and place for certain things. Unfortunately they do not keep the single 22oz German beers I regularly drink cold. So I have to buy them and get them cold or go to my other liquor store that does. Their selection is gigantic and I'm sure it's hard for them to pick and chose what they will keep in the fridge vs not. I know they have elaborate selection of various spirits I do not drink as well, but I can not comment so much on those. On a side not: Once my wife was making a purchase here and asked for a certain item. The response she received was "We do not sell that in hopes of keeping the rif raf out".... read more

This gem is tucked away but within close proximity to Route 18 in East Brunswick. The staff tend to be knowledgeable and very attentive to the needs of customers. They are there to provide guidance and direction when making selections. They have quite a variety of microbrews both refrigerated and on shelves, a distinct wine and liquor selection beyond average. If you are looking for something rare like Whale's Tale Pale Ale or Death by Coconut Oskar Brewing (just examples), they can special order for your convenience. I am glad there is an American owned business which employs staff that speak English and are passionate about their service. The establishment has this hip vibe to it. read more

This is my preferred liquor store in East Brunswick. Convenient to home, well curated, and definitely more competitively priced than others. One of my favorite reds is the Stags Leap Artemis Cabernet, and I can often get it here for under $40. They also sell the often hard-to-find Regatta Ginger Beer, which is absolutely the best ginger beer for making Dark & Stormy's. They are about to move into a brand new building across the parking lot, which looks a lot bigger than the current shop. I'm pretty sure this will attract them even more customers, though competition will still be tight with Wine World in East Brunswick and Buy-Rite in Milltown. This can only be a good thing for us liquor-loving consumers in the area. read more

Moved to NJ a year ago and this has been the most pleasant surprise to date. Selection at all the liquor stores I have visited has been lacking. This store has a great beer selection. Plenty of options and lots of good ones. Not just quantity but quality. Their whiskey selection is what truly sets them apart, in my opinion. Bourbon, rye,scotch, Irish, etc... They do it all and they do it extremely well. The staff is eager to engage and share their passion and opinion The wine sampling station is the cherry on top. One of the largest Wines and Spirits Store in the area, well that I have ever seen. They have wines from different countries here. Not just the cheap ones ;) they have the top tasting ones as well, and the expensive ones too. As the Food Lover W (Yelper) has said here, they do have different beers from different countries here as well. It is easy to get what you are looking for because the place is well organized and categorized very well. The staff is super nice and would love to help you with any questions you need. New Jersey, you have - once again - pleasantly surprised this NYer with the gems that you possess in your suburban strip malls. I was on the way to a friend's house.. and the cordial hosts requested that I bring over some beer. So I searched long (and somewhat hard) for a supermarket. Aha! A Stop N Shop. Perfect. Wait... what's that place next door? Wine & Spirits? Seems like they have beer too! Why not check it out. Holy moly! Wine? (check!). Liquor? (check!), Helpful staff? (check!) Beer? (uber check!) And, wait.. snacks too! I walked into booze heaven! There was a wall of liquor, aisles of wine and two walls of beer! There was Abita (Amber, Purple Haze, and Turbodog) from N'Awlins, Sam Adams American Kriek which I thought was only available from the brewery, and more types of bock in one place than I've ever seen before. I left Marketplace with waaay more than I should've. Thankfully for my wallet, I live a state away. I will definitely be back. read more

I stopped going to other stores because they just can't keep up with this store's inventory. Even recently, I searched for gift sets - they had a big selection when other stores didn't. I went there last night looking for a specific wine that I couldn't find and I had such a good worker help me. Madison was my cashier last night and when I informed her that I didn't particularly get the wine I was looking for, she was so persistent in finding the one that I actually intended to buy. She stated to me" why settle for something you didn't originally want". She was so polite, professional, and courteous. The customer service that you receive at this store is outstanding. This is my first time at the store and I will definitely be returning for the main reason of the customer service. read more

Indeed this place has a good selection for its location in New Jersey. Hard to find actually, it is off route 18 at a strip mall behind Kmart. Pretty impressive Napa collection including bottles of Joseph Phelps, Opus One, Far Niente, and Silver Oak. This will be my go to spot for now when I'm staying home in Jersey. read more

This is a large hidden gem wine store in the back of the Stop and Shop building. It's a nice large wine store, but the variety is not great.They did not have the brand I was looking for. Hate the smell of liquor inside, but hey all wineries smell like strong liquor. It's decently priced, though so at least you save some money. read more

They mark up their pricing to the secondary market and then won't even sell to you if they think you aren't worthy because they don't recognize you from your previous purchases. If they don't want to sell certain products, they shouldn't advertise them for sale. read more

I was looking for a variety 24 pack of beer. I found multiple. That was good. I also called ahead, they connected me to someone who could tell me about their beer selection, so that was great! I'm giving this 2 stars because for the size of this place, you would think they would have a wider selection. Prices are also slightly higher than my East Brunswick go to, Wine World. The only place to go in central NJ if you're looking for scotch. I get all of my single malts here, and I'm routinely surprised by the vast selection. They even have rare independent bottlings and silent still selections. I picked up an Old Malt Cask Brora from them that I treasure. They're also well stocked in microbrews, local beers and wine. Its my only stop for liquor in East Brunswick. read more

Hands down one of the best independent liquor stores in the area. I support this place as much as possible because they carry so many belgian ales and brews from around the world. Staff is very friendly and accomodating. If you are looking for something, ask, 'cause they will try to get it for you if their distributor carries it. They also have a nice little selection of gift bags, candles, bar type gifts/glassware, bottle openers, etc if you need a last minute gift or want to perk up your gift to a hostess.
