Phew! I thought they closed shop forever. They vacated their spot beside K-Mart and moved to the…read morecorner of Elm and Main Street. I have yet to check out their new set-up. Their previous place was spacious and they even had an indoor koi pond with fountain that was my daughter's favorite thing to look at. They had a good assortment of fish- nothing fancy or unusual. And they had birds out of their cages, and reptiles (thankfully kept in their tanks). They also had a supply of live crickets for the pets that need them. Sure, Wal-Mart sells their fish and supply cheaper but you don't get quality service. The people at Tri Lakes are quite knowledgeable about the pets they showcase. For example, I went in to get fish for my daughter who was only 2 then. I was just going to choose some random fish since my purpose was just to entertain and teach my kid about pets. Of course, before I could walk out with any fish, the gentleman interrogated me about my purpose and if I had a tank ready (of course, I didn't even have one!) and if I knew how to care for them, etc. I was annoyed that he was so intrusive. Just give me the fish will ya?! But, I later realized that he truly cared for the fish he was selling. He just wanted to make sure that I was getting the right fish for my purpose and that I would take good care of it. At the end, he recommended that I get a Betta fish and he explained how to condition, clean and control the temperature of the water. And thanks to his advice and careful instructions, "Seymour" is living healthy after 1 year and 5 months.

They told me they could only do a bath since she was so terrified. I asked why they didn't just call and I would have picked her up a long time ago. They said they tired to call. I said when? I had been checking my phone all afternoon and there been no call. She said she thought it was something the way their phones worked and when they call if the number not in my contacts it goes to spam. OK we all know how phones work so that's a lie. Bottom line they are totally incompetent and I would never go back there again. Also the dog was still wet when I picked her up.

A few days go by and my fish hasn't eaten. She let me grab the wrong fish food without saying anything as I was looking at her for approval. The pellets are too big for a beta. As a beginner, I did not know that. Not only did I waste money and will be going back for a refund tomorrow, but I hope my fish is still alive by then as they are closed right now. Please make sure your staff is educated and capable of giving advice to keep animals safe, and if they aren't, they shouldn't be dealing with customers. I have gotten many animals from Petsmart and know some staff are really nice and helpful, but the brunette with the side bang hairstyle thing was not. I'm so sorry to call you out, but I fear for animals that are in your hands.
