Traditional kennels put your dog in a setting with about 40 other dogs and depending on how your dog reacts, they might be absolutely terrified. At PineBrook, they take your dog alone and give them devoted playtime. The fact alone that Ellie was able to romp around in a clean fenced in area with the freedom to sniff and not be anxious is worth the 5 stars alone. Mind you, the dogs get central air in the summer. If you're looking for someone to come in and show you how to dominate your dog and make him/her do what you want them to do, not only should you read Jan Fennel's book, but perhaps you should re-evaluate why you have a dog in the first place. Dogs are a creature to be respected and understood, both of which Rebecca will peacefully guide you through. It is important to understand what Amichien Bonding is, and also Rebecca's goal with her service. First, Amichien Bonding is not dog "training" in the traditional sense. Amichien Bonding is almost literally a translation for the dog language. How do you know you're communicating with a dog that can not speak human tongue? Through results. When I first met Rebecca my coworkers and I were dealing with dogs that had behavioral issues far beyond barking at the mailman, and peeing on the couch. The success I found from working with Rebecca and using Amichien Bonding is truly astronomical. To see a dog that would lick their own paw raw out of stress be able to sleep calmly in the middle of the day is really an amazing sight. It is safe to say that quite a few dogs would not be alive today if it wasn't for her and Amichien Bonding. Secondly, Rebecca's goal is not to come in and "fix" your dog. Her service is for you, the dog owner, to understand your dog from their point of view. Her goal is not to come in and proclaim dominance over you and your dog (as many other trainers look to do), but to teach you the way of the dog's language. Please, for the safety of your beloved pet, do NOT bring it to the Grooming Gallery! My family…read morefriend brought their beloved senior poodle to her on 11/7/14. When he came to pick him up, Gail the owner and groomer told him that he needed to come in and get him out of the cage himself because he had a seizure and had been traumatized. The dog has NO history of seizures in his entire life. She said that she could not even complete his haircut (although they were asked to pay for the entire service). When asked if he should be seen by the vet she told them "NO, all the vet will do is charge you a lot of money!" When they got him home they noticed that his neck was very swollen, and he was acting very nervous and strange. When they tried to get near him he would yelp in pain. He certainly did NOT have this injury prior to taking him the the Grooming Gallery or they would have waited to have him groomed. They did call the vet and were asked to bring him in immediately. He received treatment for his swollen and bruised neck and given some pain medicine. The visit cost over $200. After returning home they called back to the Grooming Gallery asking for more details as to what had happened to their dog during his visit. Gail, the owner, insisted that he was an "old dog" and "things happen". She volunteered that he had been "traumatized" but would not elaborate. She DID NOT: apologize, offer to pay for even a portion of the vet bill, or even call to follow up over the weekend to see how the dog was doing. She DID however: act angry, annoyed, rude and inconvenienced that they would even ask what happened to the pet at her shop. When I went to her shop the following week to speak with her face to face, she flew into an actual "rage" within just a few minutes of my being there. As a working professional and former groomer I have never seen anything like it. PLEASE there are other shops, with caring people that would never mistreat your beloved pet. They will now be taking their poodle to Doggie Styles, just up the street.PLEASE DO NOT take your pet to the GROOMING GALLERY.
