Recently visited and my first impression as I got out of the car was wow! I loved that they're starting to grow grapes and appreciate the educational signage. The tasting room is beautiful, clean, and there is a ton of bar seating as well as tables, and more tables outside. Upon walking in, there's a sign to wait for the hostess to seat you. Since we came for a tasting, we were seated at the bar. We looked forward to the standard tasting (7, 3/4 oz pours), but found out once we were seated that they weren't doing those that day because they were busier earlier in the day. Instead, they offered us a flight (4, 2oz pours) for $15. However the glasses didn't have lines on them and the pours we got were significantly less than the couple next to us who were served by a different person. As far as the wines, they had a variety of sweet and dry, red and white, but I didn't find any that I loved. If I lived in the area I would definitely come back for the atmosphere, since this seems like a great space for events, or with friends since they have a large selection of wines. The ambiance is nice occasionally they will have live music which is nice but I was disappointed maybe my expectations were too high because they make great wine! I felt the food was extremely overpriced and not good. We had a reservation for 1:00, but a lot of other people did too. We were there for 2.5 hours and after an hour got our wine. We canceled our charcuterie board at 2 hours and received 1 free glass of wine as a consolation prize. The staff was very nice, but were woefully outnumbered by customers. Apparently only one person was making the charcuterie boards. I did notice they had 2 people at the cash register-so they did get their money. I wanted some of the onion jam, but it was nowhere to be found and unfortunately would have taken another hour to locate. They overbooked for 1:00 PM and for some reason had just a few staff who could not keep up with the demand. After awhile, it didn't matter that they were nice. It just got very old. We were able to check out and give them our money for 4 abbreviated ( 4 instead of 7 glasses) flights in a VERY timely manner, but forget anything else. I would not buy anything from them if they were the last winery in NY. read more

We decided to checkout the ADK Winery on National Wine Day! Surprise, surprise, they had nothing planned for the day! We should have realized that this was a bad sign. First, The Good: This is a lovely facility. Open and inviting, a gorgeous outdoor seating area, 2 big bars inside with ample seating available. Staff is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable- a big help with any question I had about the facility, wine, manufacturing, etc. The Acceptable: We decide the best way for us to get a broad tasting of what they had to offer was to order both flights on the menur: A Cocktail flight and a Mimosa flight at $28 and $24, respectively. They both arrived relatively quickly and looked beautiful. Cocktails we're delicious maybe a little bit watered down but tasted nice. The Unacceptable: Although they tasted delicious, the mimosa flight was completely flat, save one. Literally no bubbles in the other 3. My guess is they used open bottles that had been sitting and they were flat. We immediately mentioned this to the bartender and she said something that made us think that she was going to give us a new flight with fresh sparkling wine, but that never happened. The Ugly: The Adirondack snack plate served with the tiniest portion of Chevere cheese. My wife, who is a goat cheese addict, said the amount of cheese they served was equal to the amount that she would put on a single Ritz cracker at home. The Adirondack cheddar was served with the hard dried out ends of cheese that were not edible- poorly stored cheese served by poorly trained kitchen staff. Maybe an ounce of each cheese along with what were called "gourmet crackers"- uggh. They were awful. Seriously hasn't anybody told you that those crackers suck? Finally two small gourmet, marshmallows, and 2 "wine infused truffles" ( really?) that we're OK but I have no business on a cheese platter. This plate was definitely not worth the $20 they charged. The problem here is that they've taken what was probably a great idea in Lake George or Bolton Landing, and moved it out of the tourist trap district and into town and it doesn't work. I get it if you're in Lake George and you want to bring home an Adirondack wine and pay way too much to show your friends that you were Lake George, great! $12 to $17 dollars, NOT FOR A BOTTLE, but for a 6oz pour of New York wine? And you can't even buy a bottle of wine to drink there: you have to buy it by the pour. I can't with good conscience recommend. Nope. read more

I love their new location. I've been to the location in Lake George and this was my first visit to the Queensbury location. The location is easy to get to, has plenty of accessible parking and is so much larger. The larger seating area allows you to have a much more laid back spacious experience. It was also beautifully decorated for the holidays. As always the customer service was exceptional. They were attentive, informative and ever so helpful! They answered all of our questions made suggestions and were always smiling. The wine selections were great. I called about an order that I was trying to place online and, I was having some difficulty. The person that I spoke to and gave the information of where I was intending to send it to and, she assured me that my package was going to that place. The following day, I got an email saying that the package was coming to me. After calling 2 times, I was finally told that the package was already enroute to me and there was nothing that they could do about it. So the question is, why couldn't they have communicated this me? FEDEX tried to deliver it today and I refused it. Better communication is needed here on their part. Went in on a Saturday late afternoon, maybe one table was occupied. Took a few minutes for our party to be seated and drinks and food order put in. We ordered the pretzels and some drinks. The pretzels came out first and then SOME of the drinks. We ate the pretzels because it took so long for some of the drinks to come out. The ones who received their drinks were done with theirs when the last ones came out. One of the drinks tasted very watered down. Normally, I would give the winery a 15 out of 10. Our waitress did not check on us once. I recommend this establishment to everyone. The wine is amazing but I was so disappointed by the quality of the drinks and the service we received. Visited this location during our time in Lake George. It's a beautiful space and bigger than their other locations. Has indoor and outdoor seating, lawn games, and plenty of parking. Booked a fireside wine experience and it was so worth it. We had the outside table with a fireplace for 3 hours. Staff were super nice and attentive and made sure we were helped. Megan, who helped us that night, was very friendly and made sure we were comfortable. This location has a variety of food boards: charcuterie, dessert, cheeses. Their slushies are a must try during the summer. And of course their amazing wine. They have a variety of packages on their website and they also host events. It's kid friendly and dog friendly which is nice for families. Since we had a good time, we decided to go visit a second time and tried their cocktails. Really recommend this place. read more

So happy that this place is located so close to home. They're always doing such a really fun activities that are not always food or drink centric. The wine is original and very tasty but I gotta tell you the cocktail flights are to die for. So fun and fresh and colorful and on theme with a season or holiday. There are some charcuterie boards that are good for a snack, but don't count on getting a real dinner. In summer they have a really fun outdoor activity area and fireplace tables when it gets cool. The garage doors open and join the spaces interior and exterior. They also have a really fun upstairs banquet hall type area for both public and private events. I'm very proud of the owners. We walked into the wonderful ambiance at Adirondack and immediately felt relaxed. We were greeted and welcomed just as we walked in and directed to the bar for our tasting. As we were there on a Wednesday out of season, we were the only people there and the three ladies working there were so nice and friendly and knowledgeable and they really enhanced our experience. Of course, the star of the show were the wines and ciders. Two of us did a wine tasting and one had a flight of cider and we thoroughly enjoyed all of them. My partner and I came here for that amazing wine tasting experience that everyone is talking about however we did not receive what we expected at all. I want to start off with the good ... The wines are good, different flavors for different palates and that's it! We booked reservation a day before, online. We decided to try wine tasting, the Charcuterie board, Brunch board for 2. Worth it? Definitely not!! First off the 2 food boards are limited, strawberries are not washed, and not worth the price. But for each is own. The wine tasting is done by you selecting 7 wines from the list. Each wine is brought out one by one and poured into the SAME glass! Talking about mixing flavors. I don't understand that! For each wine pour we had to wait at least 10-15 minutes. One of the wines we asked for, there was a little sip left and the waitress literally spilled it into the sink instead of just pouring it into the glass. What a waste! Some of the wines are off limits if you are not part of their club! Well we signed up for the club by purchasing more than 12 bottles .... And still got denied trying one of the wines!!! We even got denied BUYING that wine bottle because they need time to process our club membership! The staff is overwhelmed, stressed, doesn't have knowledge about wine or their club programs! We bought 16 wine bottles, joined the club and were told that we will get 20% off purchase and buy the wine that we WERE NOT allowed to try. But that didn't happen at the register, because at the register the only discount that they could apply was for the amount of bottles we bought. And one of the wines could not be purchased because club membership needs to get processed, as mentioned before. Forget the 20% discount part, I get it, everyone needs to make money. But denying customer of making a purchase is just bad business! Overall the management needs to train their staff, become more organized... this will really improve experience. She described the wines we selected to taste in great detail and even gave us more information on how the grapes were grown in NY compared to other regions and how the wines were made. We also enjoyed a scrumptious charcuterie board for two that paired very well with our tastings. My wife and I attended Dueling Pianos at the Adirondack Winery with another couple this past weekend. The 3 stars is related to the venue, not the show. The Dueling Pianos was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! The 2 performing the show were so talented and put on such an amazing show. We can't wait to see them again. To the Winery. We loved your winery/venue. The atmosphere was great and the drinks were also great. The company that catered the pizza did an ok job. While the food itself was pretty good/very good, I think the amount of attendees overwhelmed the capabilities of the pizza company. I know this can happen and I am not blaming the pizza company or the winery, it happens, especially when you have such an amazing event planned. To improve this, I think having a couple different food vendors on site would be a HUGE benefit for your next large event. When we purchased our tickets for Dueling Pianos online, we also purchased a drink flight. When we checked in for the show, we were each given a drink ticket. We were told it could be used upstairs during the show for wine/beer/cocktails. It appears not all the staff were on the same page, as we tried to use the drink ticket for a mixed cocktail and told it was only for wine/beer/cider. Not the end of the world, after all, the wine and beer/cider was really good. So we all grabbed a drink after some confusion over that issue. A short while later, we wanted to get our flight (paid for ahead of time online FOR the show) and were told that we would have to go downstairs to get the flight. This was a bit frustrating as it required one of us to go downstairs to get the flight and miss some of the show. Well to make matters worse, the bar downstairs said we had to get that pre-paid flight from the upstairs bar. So after trying downstairs without success, back upstairs to try the bartender again for my pre-paid flight. The upstairs bartender again said we couldn't get the flight upstairs. So it was back to other drinks from the upstairs bar. We never did get the pre-paid flight of drinks we paid for. One additional comment, as the night progressed, staff from the Winery were trying to get guests involved in dancing, etc. While many guests were happy to participate, some just wanted to stay seated and enjoy the show. At least one Winery staff member (or maybe a friend of the winery) was too aggressive in their attempts to get people interactive. Credit to the gentleman up front who was manhandled and maintained his composure. Be cautious, this can really turn away guests. My criticism isn't to dissuade guests from coming, because it was an AMAZING evening. The few issues we experienced are written here to help a really enjoyable venue, improve on their service to make this type of venue and entertainment experience better. We will be back again and hopefully see some of these issues improved upon. read more
