Think of this not as a winery as you would in the California style. It's a liqueur tasting that enhances the finer agriculture of Vermont. Ginger liqueur is wonderful- sweet with strong flavors and I already knew it would make wonderful mixed drinks. The chocolate liqueur was delicious as was the apple maple wine. All sweet so go with the perspective of how to enrich a wine based cocktail or a champagne cocktail. If you're a dessert wine lover it's definitely for you. We ended up buying ginger and apple maple. Kim walked us through each sip and went further in recommending a stellar restaurant in nearby Brattleboro. Kim was so friendly and kind to all five of us, even though she was in the midst of a tasting with another group. This didn't effect the attention she showed us in the slightest. This was going to be a very good trip. Obviously this place is a winery, but they have decided to get into beer too. I think the woman told us that they are still pretty new to brewing, but there is nothing wrong with that. They aren't even on the VT beer map. That just makes coming here that much more enjoyable. It is like you are getting in on the ground floor of a stock that you know will make you a ton of money. The setting here seemed very genteel to me. I think there might have been some doilies. If not, there should have been. They have a tasting. You can do wine, or you can do beer. Or maybe you can do both. We did beer. A few they had to taste were a Ginger Wheat (bought a growler of that), an IPA and a Double IPA. For a pretty new brewery they were all very good.

I love that they are made of everything except grape. I would suggest doing the whole tasting to get a taste of what you like. Our top favorites were blueberry, cranberry and rhubarb. This is a must stop if you are in the area. If you aren't they ship!

We stumbled upon this spot right before closing and the staff was so accommodating to our large group (and others who popped in)! This is a pretty small space with some seating and a few goodies for sale like syrups, crafts, and more. We did a large group tasting of some of their top wines and spirits and it was only $5 for a sample (about 1-2 sips) great little trial if you want to try everything. The Cranberry absolutely blew me away - it was described as tasting like Ocean Spray and oh boy did it... dangerous! I brought 2 bottles home! BONUS: This spot is dog friendly!
