My adjustable, split King bed mysteriously decided to randomly adjust itself and the remote would not return the mattress on one side of the bed back to a flat position. Called John in a panic and not only did he answer his phone, he asked me a few questions & then scheduled service with me for the following morning! He showed up @ the time promised and he got the bed flat in about 45 mins. He also connected me with the manufacturer of the bed frame and got me an estimate for parts needed to permanently repair the problem. My Maternal grandmother purchased a mechanical bed which has been in our family since the late 1970s. Only have had to repair it 3x since. As Mom couldn't remember the name of the last repairman, I searched online and found John with Adjustable Bed Repair San Diego. The head portion of the bed had stopped working this weekend and it needed some attention. Jon answered the phone straight away (on a weekend) and was courteous and informative about the poss diagnosis, cost and was able to come to the house early Monday morning. The problem seemed to be a belt and some rust on the mechanics of the bed. Thank goodness it wasn't the motor. My mom has a adjustable bed that has not worked in years, she learned to live with it until recently. I called John to explain I needed to get some work done quickly as mom was being released from the hospital and needed to sleep in a semi sitting position. John thought he could help and also offered to come out the same day so that everything was in place when she was discharged and it was one less thing we had to worry about. I was very impressed with the level of professionalism John possessed. He was out to the house within 2 hours and provided us with a few options on how to proceed including one where we saved a ton of money. If it didn't work he would come back out and help us. I'm not a customer of John's yet (but I will be now) I needed advice on the best adjustable base that would go into a lounge position. John spent about 30 min educating me on the different models and the manufacturers that make bases that have the lounge position. John was so easy to talk to and very very knowable. John even call me the next day to see if I found the base I was looking for. It's sad to say you don't find that kind of customer service any more.I now have the perfect base for my needs. I had such a great experience that I have to share it, I talked to John for several hours, I even sent him pictures of the bed and he was trying to help me over the phone, I finally agreed that it was ok that he comes home to assess the situation but then my daughter told me that we really didn't need to fix the bed because it was not going to help my mom to go up and down and that she still was going to need help doing it, so I was so ashamed of calling John back to cancel the appointment, he was so understanding, I wanted to send him a check for the time he spent with me but he said "no worries, I like to help people" and he even offered that if he was around the area he could stop for free to take a look at the bed, if I ever decide to fix it, I will call him for sure, he's 100% honest and that for me is a must on a service provider, thanks John! read more

I have an electrical esthetic bed that had some issues with the up and down, and headrest staying up and not going down. John took his time to take off the connectors and the motor. The problem was I needed a new motor. He put everything back together and even made sure the connectors were having contact before he left. There was no manufacture or model number on the bed but he contacted me about 10 days after to say he found a replacement motor. Great service, nice man, and he followed up with finding a new motor. The adjustable bed I own, the leg portion would not go down. I contacted the "Adjustable Bed Repair" after hours and left a message about my bed. The next day, immediately after opening the business, John McGruder (the owner) contacted me. I spoke to John about my problem. John, informed me that he would come to my residence in Chula Vista to assess the situation. When John arrived he immediately, donned coverings over his shoes before entering inside my residence. John, in a minimal amount of time knew what the problem was, a burnt out motor. John, contacted the company to order the part, which take 1-2 weeks to arrive.. John, then lowered the leg portion of the bed. Then John, meticulously picked up after himself. John, then informed me to contact him to install the new motor. After, the motor arrived I contacted John. To his word, John arrived to my residence, donning coverings over his shoes, made the necessary repairs, and again cleaned up.
