I was surprised to read the reviews on here (I didn't read any reviews until after, I was in a frenzy after locking myself out of the house) I had a great experience with the Adirondack Lock Doctor. The man who came to help me was older, gray hair. I'm not sure if the other two reviews are speaking of somebody different, but the man I dealt with was very friendly. He showed up to help me within minutes and got me into my house in under a minute. He charged $75 for the service which is reasonable, especially considering how fast he arrived. Don't waste your money with this guy. I think he must just wait for tourists to need his services since no local would ever use him. He has a horrible reputation and demeanor. It is too bad that he is a representative of our community to outsiders since the vast majority of local business people treat their clients and customers the way they deserve to be treated. I would give him the benefit of a doubt if it was just me who he was so rude to, but since he worked on my lockset changes, I've heard he treats everyone the same. read more
