Animal Foundation My…read morehusband and I were looking for a Syrian hamster and they didn't have any. We got to say hi to dwarf hamsters and bunnies. There were only a few cats which was incredible, because so often they are full. The dogs, though, broke my heart. Their cages are clean and the animals were all healthy, just sad and lonely. We went to kennel after kennel and it was just heartbreaking to see so many sweet, beautiful, adorable, and needy dogs. It makes me want to beg all of Las Vegas to please go and adopt a sweet new dog, but I know that not everyone wants a dog or can have them for whatever reason. We don't even have dogs, but we do both love them. I just hope that the people who can adopt dogs will go to the animal foundation and help give an animal a forever home.

I hate this place so much. They euthanize animals... period…read more Also, getting a long term foster is such a difficult thing. I've tried numerous times to inquire about a posted pet and by the time I get a response- either it was adopted or an organization came and took the pet. It would be nice to know before I go all the way to north Las Vegas what the availability is. I would hate to go there and it pet is adopted. I've also dropped off strays I've found here like 3x. It's such a loooooonnnggg tedious process! Like they make you wait so long for thier intake. I had at one point had to get staff to help us asap when 2 of the dogs didn't want to go in! It took forever! I'm just disappointed in this place. They are suppose to help these pets but they are so disorganized and they have become one of the biggest high kill organizations here in Vegas. How sad!

We saw Mickey ( our puppy) on a website and sent Louisa's New leash on Life a message on the chance he would still be available to meet. The next day we met Mickey, walked him around and played a little bit and we ended up both agreeing that he was a good fit for us. I was very impressed how Mike took the time in the details. Mike came over to ensure Mickey would be safe, checking our fence, but what I really liked is Mike was very up front about Mickey's personality and after 2 years, Mickey has been a great part of the family and my wife and I are very happy with our experience. The thing that sets Louisa Rescue apart from others we have worked with is that Mike keeps in contact with us and continues to offer and provide support. Mike is a great partner and is always there to help. In conclusion, if your looking for a great rescue to work with to include training and support, then I would highly recommend Mike and Louisa's New Leash on Life Rescue.

We…read moredecided to make Mother's Day very memorable and get my wife a cat that needs loving and grow with a family. We run into Nutter Butter that had just arrived at the PetSmart on 2140 N Rainbow Boulevard. I believe his arrival date is 5/52026. My wife and I immediately love him, but our determination was based on how he reacted to our children. Our daughter is four years and our son turns two in July. We knew he'd be shy, but Nutter Butter responded very well to our children, and that's what made us take the leap of faith to bring him home. Less than twenty-four hours later, Betty the Adoption Facilitator sent me a text at 7:33am, denying our adoption request, and even went to the length of stating that she refrains from adopting to family with small children. She informed me to wait until my children get older, THEN at that point we can adopt a cat. I expressed to Betty that Nutter Butter was very receptive to my children and that's what made us sure in our determination to adopt him. I would like to state that Betty was not present for my family meeting Nutter Butter. After informing her that I felt this was blatant discrimination, and that I'd be filing a complaint, she immediately requested to meet her at PetSmart so we can discuss adoption at 6pm today. However, the initial encounter was so negative that I canceled the meeting. If this is how your adoption facilitators conduct themselves when dealing with families that want to give cats a loving home, then this adoption company isn't very helpful to the cats they serve. My daughter cried when I informed her of the very abrasive text message Betty sent me. What she texted me after in a disrespectful and condescending tone is what moved me to file this complaint. This really turned a hopeful and memorable moment into a terrible experience with this adoption company. Adoption Facilitators like Betty are hurting the company, and evermore the cats they continue to house.
