Chloe is a life saver! I found her on Instagram last year, and even though it's a trek to see her in the suburbs without a car, I've come to realize that it's worth the effort. The first time I saw her, she spent the time to explain how to take care of my curls, style them, and refresh them on day 2+ (plus offer product suggestions). Her Ouidad cut is top-notch and really makes a difference in the way I was able to take care of my hair. I recently tried going elsewhere to save the trip to Lombard, and it was a disaster. But Chloe was understanding and able to work with me on a plan to get my hair back in its original shape while losing the least amount of length. Highly recommended for anyone who's felt the frustration of stylist after stylist who doesn't know how to cut curly hair. And if you live in the city, definitely worth the travel. I would NEVER recommend this salon for anyone wanting color. The colorist Celia Yarhouse is absolutely inexperienced with color. She did not do what I asked for. 1. She colored the front of my bangs bleach blond without blending colors in with highlights and low lights. 2. She toned only part of my hair which caused the bottom of my hair to turn green which was also blond. 3. I expressed how unhappy I was with it and before I left asked what if I still do not like the color, will she fix it. She replied by saying give it a week and a couple of washes and it will fade. I HATE how it turned out and had to get it fixed by Mario Tricocci's, which was a much better experience. Even if you are desperate please do not go there. I had been looking for a Novalash certified salon/lash tech and I found Rosie at Adored Salon! This is a cute salon hidden in what resembles a small office building. Think Salon Suites, except they have a good size salon in here. Rosie is sweet and attentive, she listened to what I was looking for and aimed to please. I was happy with my lash placement and you simply can't beat Novalash adhesive for retention. I can usually go 4 weeks for a fill. I'm in the process of booking my next appt now! read more

First off, I posted this review on google and they somehow got it removed. I legitimately went to this salon, everything I'm saying is 100% true. I think potential customers should do their due diligence when choosing this salon and make sure they can give you what you want. Be careful if you want a fashion color because I was not very happy with my results. I don't doubt that a lot of people have had wonderful experiences here or great results with the stylist that did my hair. Maybe this salon doesn't have experience with this type of color or just doesn't specialize in it. I wish they would have told me that before the appointment or told me what I wanted couldn't be achieved/what they could achieve with my hair. I wanted to dye my hair blue for quite a while but was pretty nervous about it. I saw an ad on facebook for this salon so I decided to message the stylist for more info. this place is right down the street from where I live. She was enthusiastic about the inspiration pics I sent and said she could do it for a reasonable price so I decided to book it. When she bleached my hair, she divided the hair into 4 separate sections which seemed pretty standard. She foiled my whole head bottom to top starting at the back left section, then back right and finally the front parts. This means the back parts would be processing for a lot longer than the front parts unless the back was washed off before the front. But my whole head was washed off at the same time. I thought it was kinda off at the time but kept it to myself thinking they knew what they were doing. Flash forward a few days later and I see a DEFINITE color difference between the front and back of my head. The front looks more teal and not as vibrant blue as the back. You can actually see a line in my hair where the front and back where sectioned off. I would have said something right away before I left the salon if I noticed but I did the next best thing and called the salon letting them know I was kinda upset about this. It seemed like they were more or less blaming me for the problem saying I either washed my hair too soon after the appointment or the dye just didn't deposit onto the front of my hair as well as the back for unknown reasons. I thought the issue was pretty obvious....the back lightened more than the front so the color deposited and looked more vibrant of the back of my head. I ended up going back a week after my initial appointment and they tried just adding more dye to my hair. After that appointment I didn't wash my hair for more than 72 hours as they suggested but I was still left with the same problem. I do realize this is semi-permanent dye btw and I can accept fading with washing. The problem is the back and front of my head are different colors! I wish they would have just owned up to their mistake but it didn't seem like they would. I'm just not going to return to this place. In the end it is just hair and its definitely not the end of the world. I just can't help being disappointed with my results. Just wanna warn people if they're going to be spending a lot of money on their hair. There are tons of hair salons in the area. Make sure to do your research and pick one that has a lot of experience in what you're looking for and will do it right. Attached is the look I was going for and what my results were. read more

Andrea did my hair a awhile back when she was working there and completely ruined my hair it was over three hundred dollars. I'm not one to complain but they were not able to do anything that's bullshit. I would not recommend business I had to wait till my hair grew out basically. I went to the salon for the first time and had an appointment with Jackie to do my hair color. I had an inch of gray so I was desperate to get it done. She was very difficult and controlling. I didn't agree with what she wanted me to do. I did not want a full foil and because of that she made me sign a form stating that I would pay the bill and that I was refusing her recommendation for a full foil . Who does that? On top of that there was hair color on my coach purse after I was shampooed. Jackie asked me if my purse was leather. What difference did that make. I am 63 years old and am in outside sales and I know my hair. One of the worst experiences I've ever had in a salon. I don't care what these reviews say. Today was my first time at Adored salon. I saw online that this salon specializes in curly hair, I went to the website and saw that womens haircuts are $60. Those of you that have curly hair know the struggle to get someone that knows how to cut curly hair. I called to make the haircut appointment. All good. The salon is nice and the staff is very nice. She is doing the cut and explaining everything. The haircut is really nice. I go to checkout and add some products. The haircut alone was $150!! Stupid me for not looking at the separate Ouidad menu on the website. They charge more than double the price of a non curly hair womens haircut! Is the haircut nice, yes!! Is is right that they charge more than double for curly hair, NO! If I would have asked for the $60 cut would I have not received a similar result??? Expensive lesson learned. read more

Rosie is THE BEST when it comes to lashes. Since May '16, I've been seeing Rosie on a regular basis for my lashes and I couldn't imagine giving that up. Rosie is very professional, listens to her clients and does an amazing job! I get compliments everywhere I go! I'm so obsessed with my lashes and I would recommend Rosie to anyone and everyone! Ouidad might be life changing! After 36 years of battling my curls with heat, products, keratins, ponytails and buns I finally have the hair I was meant to have. I can't tell you how many stylists have said they could tame my curls only to give me terrible layers, shelfs, triangles and pyramids. I have very thick, coarse hair with lots of different curl patterns varying from wavy to coiled. Half way through the styling process I wasn't sure I was happy with what my hair was looking like. But, then we got it completely dry and she put some finishing product on it and wow!!! I have never ever seen my hair look so good. I didn't even recognize myself. I just kind of sat there a little awkward and said thanks. Then it hit me when I got to the car - I actually wept tears of joy over this haircut. Seriously. I have been receiving compliments left and right since. A co-worker even took a photo of the back of my hair just because it looked fabulous and she wanted a picture of it. I waited until after my first at home wash & style to post a review. I did my own rake and shake styling which is kind of a chore but worth the effort. Jackie advised me on how much product to use for my hair and of course I didn't listen. So my home style wasn't as good as hers but it still turned out far and beyond what my usual style looks like. I have been going to Adored now for over a year. I went initially to get my hair fixed after i was not happy with another salon. From the moment i walked in, Jackie was amazing! she gave me a free consultation and then scheduled my appointment. I have been going back ever since. I have had the pleasure of getting to know all the girls and everytime i go, it feels like family. I now take my 9 year old daughter (who hates anyone touching her hair) and she has even asked to go back. This was my first time at Adored and Jen gave me a great Ouidad cut (special for curly hair)! I'm extremely pleased with the results. The shop is decorated beautifully and very clean. Staff was cleaning the shop the whole time I was there, most impressive. When I arrived, Jen came out right away and talked to me about the condition of my hair and what kind of cut I wanted. She let me know that she was running 30 minutes late, so she offered me a free deep conditioning treatment while I waited. I was thrilled; most places just let you wait. First off when I walked in the Door the Manager seem very wired like why am I here she took my name in phone number I told her I just wanted my hair to be clipped evenly I started but it wasn't even if she can help clean it up right than a second employee whom had just finished a customer went to the computer said Fatima I don't want to cut your hair I don't cut your kind of hair I'm sorry I asked her what kind of hair is that my hair was clean i just needed it clipped than the manager asked my what kind of hair do I have I said it's hair than I told her it was extensions she said we can't do it it's s not our policy to cut extensions ok that's fine but the rudeness from when I walked in the door is unacceptable basically you saying you don't do black people hair second I called corporate to get a young lady on the other end who laughed when I was explaining the situation to her this is very sad that grown people with business act like this in higher people who need people skills this is why people business get boycott I'm very upset about the way it was handled it's fine if your policy is you don't cut weave wigs or extensions ((Blacks))but it sound very racist to me if your a stylist in you went to school your taught how to work with all kind of hair. read more

Jennifer was extremely nice and I really enjoyed our conversation; however , it was the worst haircut I ever received . After I came home and styled my own hair I noticed longer pieces. I went back to my old stylist who agreed that my hair was uneven (left side was over .5 inches longer than the right). My layers were also just one fat layer. The styling job wasn't great either and my hair was blow dried and a little frizzier than I would've like. Which should've been a sign of a bad cut. read more

I have curly hair and needed a new salon. After seeing that Adored specializes in curly hair I had to give it a try. You can call or book your appointment online. I chose online and found the process to be very easy/convenient. The salon is very cute, easy to find, and has plenty of parking. Everyone there was super friendly and welcoming. My hair was cut and colored by Jackie, who was awesome! She explained the Ouidad cut to me. I initially wasn't planning on getting it because it is expensive, but you actually don't have to get your hair cut as often with it. I am so glad that I chose this method because I must say that this was by far the best haircut I've ever had. My curls are layered perfectly and have so much more definition and volume (in a good way) than before. Jackie also showed me how to style the new cut. She explained why she chose certain products and even wrote it out. This is an extra cost, but definitely worth it for your first Ouidad cut. The color I had done was nothing too crazy; a grey hair root touch up for a grown out balayage. It looked great though and matched up perfectly. I wholeheartedly recommend this cut and salon to anyone with curly hair! read more

I cannot say enough good things about Ze. A few months ago I saw her and asked her to cut my split ends, which were way overdue. As we got to talking I told her I wanted to change my hair, but have been nervous. She gave me so many suggestions, but never pushed me into spending more money or upgrading my simple hair cut. As a recent transplant to the area, I had not found any salons near me that could or would do my natural ethnic hair, so really I ended up going here because I was desperate! I am SO GLAD I found this place. The cut is fantastic, the color is spot on, and although I've been getting my hair done for over 25 years, no stylist has ever taken me through the steps of styling my hair curly. I recently started getting my hair done here and loved how Z styled and colored my hair. However there was an incident which will regrettably keep me from returning. I scheduled an appointment for just a color. I didn't request a blow dry when I scheduled which would have been $5. Another obligation came up for me so after the color was done, I requested a blow dry. Since Z's next client had arrived, she got another woman to blow dry my hair. When I went to pay my bill they wanted to charge me $35 for the blow dry. I disputed the charge saying it was a ridiculous amount of money and the girl behind the desk said "I'm sure $35 seems to be a lot of money for you" in a very demeaning tone. Eventually they dropped the charge for the blow dry. I will not be treated in this manner and will not be returning. Beware of the charges! read more

I've historically had Japanese thermal straightening done and Andrea told me about the new Ouidad system, convincing me to give my curls another try. So far so good. I came to this salon in search of a hair coloring that I could use due to the many allergies and sensitivities I have. Jennifer introduced me to the various products she uses and gave me detailed information on how the product needs to be applied as well as how other clients respond to these products. I have been trying different products for years and she was the first stylist to provide such a wealth of information and to be so willing to help. She invited me back to try a few samples on my scalp to see if I could tolerate any. Unfortunately I was too sensitive to the products to be able to use them (so my search continues!), however, I would recommend Jennifer and the salon to anyone seeking professional coloring.
