My Great Dane was very sick 2 yrs ago and Dr. Adorno did everything in his power to treat her. He went through his school books , asked fellow vet about what she was doing. I almost lost her an he found out it was Addisons Disease. She will be treated the rest of her life. She is doing very good at the time. She loves watching tv and walks in the park. read more

My first time at this vet with my new pup and it was uncomfortable from right when I came super crowded waiting room, and the front staff were not friendly. My new pup is a rescue so I brought her folder off all her records and the girl at the desk rudely said did you not receive our 24 hour txt to send the records and I said yes I got it but she's a rescue and just brought the folder with everything since that would be easier and she said well it's going to be a while. So I waited 45 minutes and during that time my pup was sitting on the chair next to me and the girl rudely says can you get your dog off the chair, I did not realize they didn't let dogs on them since it was my first time there. When I finally went back it was just rushed and un personable. There was just nothing happy or friendly about the appointment or the workers there. I'm not sure if I'll be going back at this point! And it's sad because I was referred by a friend who used to work with doctor adorno but his vet office staff was not great! read more

Dr Adorno is the best. He answers all Questions. I have a Great Dane with Addisons Disease . He wasn't sure about treatment an went out of his way to get answers. He brought his school books into the room to figure out how to treat Riley. Riley were there few hours while he looked into everything possible. Riley was 82 lbs. hanging on by a thread. (Experience before Covid) I always took my cat Winky to places that offer the cheapest vaccine deals and didn't know where to take him when a bigger health concern popped up. He wasn't a fan of the vet at all and I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg. So after some calling around, we finally decided to come here. They had me fill out paperwork and then immediately took me to a room on time for our appointment. We let my Winky out and he was polite and PURRING at the VET. He absolutely ADORED her and I've decided to stick with them since. They took care of him at a decent rate AND we found a vet he LOVES. (Experience during Covid) Sometime in April our other cat Cobra got what looked like pink eye. But we weren't too sure where to take him. Then I saw Adoring Pets in my contacts and immediately made an appointment. They had a drop off system where they take your pet while you wait in the car. Even with a long line of patients, they still managed to see everyone in a timely manner and helped us in a pinch. My pets love the vets here and I'll keep coming back! Highly recommend this place. What a wonderful veterinarian experience! Just like with human doctors, bedside manner matters. Here, everyone you encounter truly cares about your pet. We needed to diagnose something in my older dog, and the bloodwork being done in house within 15 minutes was extremely helpful and didn't cost more than the blood panels elsewhere that you have to wait on the results. read more

I had a bit of an emergency situation. I adopted a kitten through a local rescue organization. She was a feisty little thing. She actually came up from a high kill shelter in SC. The first week that I had her she was unstoppable. Harassed the Coon Hound, went after the Alpha and was really curious about the bunny and the hedgehog. Then she became extremely complacent and ceased all activities, eating and drinking among them. Of course this occurred late Friday night. Over the weekend my daughter gave her a food/water mix via syringe. I really didn't think that she would make it and feared looking in on her. Monday morning I called Adoring Pets. Explained my situation. They had no openings however suggested that my daughter bring "Cupcake" in around 2pm to wait for the first available vet. Cupcake was seen at 2.10pm. Diagnosis was flea infestation. She was given IV fluids, a dose of REVOLUTION and a full exam to make sure there was nothing else going on with her. She had lost a third of her body weight so I purchased five cans of the Hills Urgent Care cat food. The total cost for the visit was $123.00. I would have spent THOUSANDS had I taken her to an emergency clinic. I can't say enough about this place. Absolutely fantastic! read more

Very compassionate, kind, knowledgeable. My cat, Ginger is terrified of vets, and her carrier. She "adored" the vet, and came out of her carrier with ease (never has done this), and after exam, went right back in. I think I may have gotten Ginger's appointment mixed up, they took us in, and I felt like Ginger was their only appointment. I even met a rescue they took in named Cynthia. We are switching all 5 Shelties to them (they saw 2 already), and will encourage everyone we know to go to this great vet. read more

This is the best veterinary practice in the south towns. The doctors & staff are incredible. The receptionists are familiar with me and my pets, I never have to give my name. Dr. Adorno & Dr. Fox are so caring and discuss everything with you, they treat your pet as if it was their own. You will not find a better group of animal loving people. read more

I just brought my dog dexter in for the first time... I was extremely impressed. They were very busy, but organized and courteous getting him in still super fast. The vet and check up was great. They were gentle and sweet, I didn't even realize until going there how much that was lacking from my previous vet. Very respectful to me, instead of feeling like getting yelled at to do this or that different. And was cheaper than I was paying... I highly recommend, and still just overjoyed with how they were with my dog. Everyone there seemed to be there because they love pets, not just for money! read more

These guys really are the best. I have been here 3 times over the last couple years and each time it has left me being very thankful that they are around. It's not even the closest place to me but well worth the extra drive. First time we had a flea infestation in our home (4 cats). I only brought the one in that was in the worst shape. He looked him over and prescribed some topical medicine. When I explained I had 3 other cats. He hooked me up and said I would be better off buying the large dog version and showed me the amount to measure out for the size of my cats. This would save me tons of money instead of buying the small cat version 4 times he said. Next time one of the cats was hiding in the basement not moving for a couple days. Took him in and he was underweight and severely dehydrated needing an IV for fluids. But Jasper was 15 years old and Dr. Adorno did start a conversation about having to balance the the cost of treatment with life expectancy. Which basically I said I know the cats old and I don't have thousands to spend on surgery or anything. He didn't think it would come to that so he recommended he stay for overnight observation as blood tests came back for having Feline Pancreatitis. Now this type of situation isn't cheap, but Dr. Adorno worked with us on making sure to only give him treatment as needed instead of full routine, to help keep costs down. Jasper responded well to treatment and was out the next day. Doc had me put him on some canned food and he has gained weight back and is healthy and active now. Last time I was here was unfortunately just the other day to put my 16 year old cat Murray down. He had hip problems and couldn't walk anymore becoming incontinent. Never done this before so I called around to get some idea of options and prices. Dr Adorno was the best price for this type of service, so we went back to them. The procedure itself was quick and explained fully. I brought the the rest of my family so we could all say goodbye. After it was done we were about to go but then someone came with some paper and an ink pad to make some paw prints for us. Had no clue they did that sort of thing but it was really touching and I think helped my younger ones deal with the loss a bit better. After these three times, I really won't be taking my pets anywhere else. These guys are compassionate and caring not only to your pets but also to your wallet. They seem to understand that not everyone has enormous sums to spend on furry loved ones and are willing to work with you on finding treatment that fits into your budget. Your options are always fully explained so that you feel you are making an informed decision as well. Would highly recommend them if your pet needs medical treatment. read more

I took my puppy here the other day for his first exam and I was totally impressed with this office and everyone in it! It seemed really clean and everyone there was extremely nice and welcoming. I am so happy that I chose this vet to bring my new puppy to and I know that I can feel comfortable with him being in their care if anything were to happen. I will never take my dog for veterinary care elsewhere! I have a very tiny teacup chihuahua, and she has received 5-star care EVERY time we visit Dr. Adorno! He has a wonderful bedside manner, and you can tell he loves all creatures great and small! He spayed my little girl and gives her all of her vaccinations. Due to her tiny size, he sometimes gives her shots in split doses or with a dose of Benadryl. He takes such meticulous care compared to other vets I've had, I doubt I could trust her in anyone else's hands. He is wonderful. They have very fair pricing at this practice, as well as professional front desk staff, in person and on the phone. A real animal-lovers' place. Just a great office, I cannot say enough nice things about Adoring Pets! We've been going here for four years, and any future pets I may have will also be patients here. Doctor was helpful. Service was AWFUL. They took blood work and said they would get back to me with the results that evening. After not hearing anything I called in the morning and they told me the doctor was busy and would call back. After waiting 8 hours and hearing nothing I called again, and was put on hold for 15 minutes. Still don't know the results of the blood work. It was very disappointing :( read more

This is a horrible vet place. We walked in with our dog for our appointment at 3:00 and was a few minutes late. They checked us in and got our name and decided to punish us for being late. We ended up waiting 35 minutes until we left because 5 other pets got a room before we did and they came in after us. Nothing urgent either. i asked the lady why we haven't been taken yet and she said with sass "we don't have a room yet" i am extremely angry and do not recommend you going here if you accidentally might be 3 minutes late. read more

I have been with Dr Adorno since he started there. He is the kindest and most considerate doctor you will ever have for your pets. My dash got hit by a car and I remember him coming back to office for me and stayed all night with dash and called me with up to date details. I do not have enough space or time to tell you how wonderful he has been to my pets and me. I have 5 lol and he knows everyone of them. We moved to Lancaster and we did not even consider going to another doctor closer. My daughters take their pets there and every visit is a joy. We love him and think of him as part of our family. really. I am not getting paid for this lol read more

I can't say enough good things about Dr.Adorno and his caring staff. We have been taking our dogs to Adoring Pets for many years and have always been treated fairly and seemingly, as members of the family. Recently, my daughter and I took our 15 year old bichon in to see the doctor because of bleeding in the mouth area. X Rays revealed a cancer that had spread to the jaw causing tooth loss. Unfortunately, despite the dedicated efforts of Dr. Adorno and his staff to save him, we lost him on the operating table. Despite the fact that it was the middle of the day and the office was busy, Dr. Adorno insisted on sitting down with my daughter and me to explain the x ray and the level of pain he must have been experiencing. "Sometimes", he said, "Mother nature has a way of working things out." While it's tough to lose a lifelong companion, my daughter (and I) took great comfort in his words.. Afterward when I thanked the doctor for taking the time out of his busy schedule, he told me that he didn't get in the business to be rich but rather to help the animals under his care. It is this attitude that is reflected in everyone on the staff. I can't recommend Dr. Adorno and Adoring Pets any more highly. read more
