This driving school is teaching drivers that it's okay to hit a car and drive off. The owner who told us that he has been doing this for 40 years was the instructor. The student hit our car and when we we out to investigate the owner wouldn't get out the car to check the damage. Best driving school ever, I took 10 lessons with them (with no prior driving experience and no driving in between these lessons) and passed my drivers test on the first try! Adelino and Sean are super kind and great instructors. They even called every morning to make sure I remembered I had driving lessons on that day. Adelino and Shawn were SO helpful and knowledgeable. They both were patient with me as I had trouble remembering how to properly park on a hill different ways, but eventually I got it and passed the road exam in one try. Their school is located in Dorchester so once you're comfortable driving there, you'll be good anywhere else. My dad taught me a little how to drive before I signed up, so I thought the Platinum Package (six 1 hour classes, and a sponsored road exam) was perfect for me. I was able to finish everything and get my license within a little over a month. I was scheduled 2 classes a week, which I thought was helpful keeping me on my toes. Don't waate your time or money! Spend a little more and go to a real driving school. I went here a while back because it was cheap--bad idea. I paid for 8 lessons and the road test up front. I received the eight lessons; however, I received little instruction or guidance from the so-called instructor. I would ask how I was doing he would give one - word answers like "better." His broken english didn't help. Also, for my lesson, we drove around picking up other people who had lessona after me. Having additional people in the car just added to my nervousness. After I completed my 8 lessons, I contacted the office about a week later to schedule the road test. I never heard back from them even though I had already paid for it. read more

Don't know what's all the bad reviews are about. On google reviews it's about 5 stars. There's this younger guy named sean that works there and he's super chill, and a great teacher. They use eletric cars and they are super nice, with the break pedal for the instructor. I booked the 10 class package with road test and had the best experience here. Setting up a consistent schedule (2x a week) was easy and the instructors were great. They're very encouraging and teach you little tricks to help you understand how to become a competent driver. The streets of Dorchester was also good practice as there's usually a lot going on and if you can drive in Dorchester you could pretty much drive anywhere. Before coming to this school I was extremely anxious behind the wheel and felt like I didn't really know what I was doing. After my classes my confidence definitely improved a lot and I passed the road test the first time taking it! If you're thinking about signing up -- you def should! IF YOU ARE A YOUNG WOMAN AVOID THIS SCHOOL AT ALL COSTS. The level of professionalism in this school is laughable. These men constantly made me feel uncomfortable while I drove and there were multiple instances when he would put his hand on me whether it be on top of my hand while my hand is on the wheel like you can put your hand on the wheel if you want to direct me and not directly on top on my hand. There were moments where he put his hand on my thigh and even on my lower back not to mention we are also in the midst of a pandemic and he did not follow COVID regulations AT ALL. He also called me baby on multiple occasions. He even insinuated the idea of us kissing which was so appalling. And when confronted he denied everything and even refused to give me a refund. read more

I'll give them credit for actually helping me get my license. I also give them credit for being affordable (note I'm only aware of prices from back in 2015). Hence, two stars. I heard about them through my mother. My mom got her license through them and because she had zero experience with vehicles (my grandma never learned to drive) she knew they'd be good for me if they were good for her. ANYWAYS the first couple of lessons I got when I was 17 and everything went relatively well, I learned how to operate the vehicle and I practiced my turning. All of my sessions were with Adelino (I believe that was the one) and then one with Carlos. A couple of issues: 1. They would book out very quickly. I first was going for my license at 17 but didn't get it until 19 because I was in college and needed them to work with my schedule, I had to book months in advance just for them to get me in with consecutive lessons. I didn't want one lesson here in June and then the next in August because by then, as a new driver, my skills would be gone. 2. I had to advocate for myself about getting more comfortable with parking. After my second lesson I felt I knew what I needed to know about basic driving (moving forward, switching lanes, braking, etc.), however, I needed to know how to park and I needed to know how to reverse in a straight line. When I asked for this the instructor seemed kind of surprised but my gripe is if this is what I'll be asked to do on the road test let's not stray away from it. If that's too difficult for you to teach you're in the wrong profession. 3. Someone else mentioned it on here, the perversion. You're here to teach me to drive, stop trying to flirt with me or make gestures towards me. I made sure to block every advance. It happened with the same instructor I'd always had but it happened on this one particular day and never happened again. The only reason I continued working with them is because I really wanted my license and I know I was close to getting it. I was already aware of the road test location and knew how to navigate the path. I didn't want to start all over again with a different company. However, for this reason alone I'd never recommend them to anyone and I'd never allow my child to learn through them. Completely inappropriate behavior, especially in such an intimate environment. These are not the old days, he could go to jail for that. 4. Whoever answers their mainline needs to get it together. When I was reserving my road test they told me the date, I accepted, they told me the fees I'd need to have paid and everything. I even confirmed with them to please come pick me up and bring me to the road test location because I live in Roxbury and their road test was in an odd part of Dorchester that isn't like right off of a main T line. They agreed to accommodate me. So the day of the test Adelino (I believe) came and picked me up from my house. The 19 y/o me (this was back in 2015) was so excited because I just knew I'd pass and get this out of the way. On our way to the test site, Adelino hands me a stack of papers (printed out copies of learner's permits) and tells me to find mine. I search through the papers and I don't see mine. I tell him and he tells me that if I'm not in that pile then I'm not in the testing line up for the day and that he'd have to bring me back home. At that point I was pissed off. My whole thing is a. Why didn't the person who booked me for the road test have my information in? b. Why would Adelino drive all the way over to me if my name wasn't even in the line up? He just assumed I was booked? Whoever told him to come get me didn't even have enough sense to actually put me in the line up? So I came back home and of course my mom knew something was wrong as I had only been gone for 10 minutes. I explained to her what happened and of course she called them telling them off and telling them how disappointed she is in them because she learned through them and they used to be so good. So they "made it right" by booking me a week or two later and at that point I passed. Like another person said on here, you have to bring a relative in the mix before they do what you ask of them. Between that whole mix up and the flirting I knew I was done forever with this place. 5. I don't remember the exact fee anymore but they charge you their own fee for taking your road test through them. When you get to the DMV, be prepared for them to charge you that exact fee all over again. So it ended up being like I paid double. My understanding was: I was paying them the fee for getting my license through them, like an external service fee, but then when I went to the DMV, they would just charge me for the license card. NOPE! The DMV charges you for an external fee as well. I just paid it because I didn't want to continue to argue, I just wanted to be happy I finally got my license. A real crap show but when I did finally get behind the wheel on my own I knew what to do. read more

This was my first driving lesson, Carlos Depina had an extreme lack of professionalism and perverted, he was an elderly man mid 50's. The whole time my hand was on the steering wheel he kept his hand on mine, I never got to hold the wheel for longer than a minute without him guiding it with his hand on mine. I don't like men touching me, and I was so nervous I almost forgot my left from my right a few times just hoping he wouldn't touch my hand. He then proceeded to ask me where I'm from and the conversation went like this: Me: I'm from __________. Him: Do you have any sisters? Me: Yes Him: How old? Me: 12. Him: Oh that's too young, I need at least 16 or 17 to get married. WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH DRIVING?!?! AND EW!!! He also used 10 minutes of my 1 hour lesson to stop for coffee.. I didn't learn anything, felt harassed, and grossed out.. Don't waste your money here!!! read more

I only had one lesson with Adelino. I have him $500 in cash because he didn't take card. I was supposed to have 8 lessons and the road test. After he got my money at the first lesson he kept postponing the remainder of my lessons because "the cars was under maintenance to get repainted". I had to have a relative call and demand he give me the remainder of my money back. I'm sorry I had this experience with him because many of my friends recommended his services. read more

Even if I wanted to I could not make myself give ADP more than 3 stars. I got my driving license using the service of ADP. I took 9 classes in addition to 3 classes from another driving school. I initially enrolled into their 6 classes and one road test package. Then I took another three classes to boost my confidence. Then I enrolled into a 3 classes package from a different school in Quincy, which was definitely a big help. You will get to meet a different instructor who has whole new way to teach and some of the tricks are very effective. My impression is that this driving school (ADP) is run by 4 cousins- Adelino, Andre, and two other guys. 3 stars is earned solely by one of the instructor, although it is rude of me to say I do not remember his name. This guys is professional through and through (I think it is Adelino-the elder one). He takes his job seriously and makes best use of your time. He will tell you what to expect on driving test and how not to become complacent with driving. As he says cautious drivers drives very long. If you live in the vicinity (Dorchester, zip 02122), then these are the guys for you. Their price is similar to other driving school. They are very good with getting the road test dates. read more

I have to say I am less than impressed with ADP. It was recommended by a friend of my son as good place for the under 18 driving course. I can't complain about the price, but 6 months later and my son still can't finish the program due to the "parent class" a class which I have gone to several times and has been canceled with no notification. Then to try and reach the appropriate person seems hopeless. The owner is good enough to give you a call back, but the person in charge of the classes never calls back. It's been 3 weeks and I am still waiting. Sorry to say Mr. Andre, but if you are relying that your business grows you may want to reconsider who you have on your front lines. As for the drivers my son has been very pleased with all of them. Yes I agree with Yelphelps R. as it is the older gentleman and Andre himself that take pride in their work, but it's a business all should be on the same page. read more

My instructor was great, never yelled, and never made me feel nervous about being being behind the wheel. He gave great instructions. When I called to book my lessons, the owner was very nice and specific with what i needed and how things were going to go. There were never any problems. If you are looking for a sponsor to do your road test, DO NOT; I repeat DO NOT use ADP Auto driving school. I took a road test on 70 Victory Road, Dorchester MA. which was a Big Mistake! Although I have been driving for a year, I tried for 2 weeks to schedule a driving lesson with this company in order to familiarize myself with their car ; since I was going to use their vehicle for my road test. No such luck, I played phone tag back and forth with Andre and his brother Aldelino. The day of my road test I got their a little early. 20 minutes later he pulls up with 3 other people in the car. Upon meeting Andre he did not have my paperwork filled out. Luckily I did, he then tells me to get into the car. Now mind you this is the first time meeting this man instead of going over some key points that the RMV instructor might be looking for he ask me for payment then say wait in the car. So even though I was there first another younger person went before me. It took 15 minutes for the girl to come back. So I get in the card next and the RMV administrator and Andre are both on the phone. I ignored them and adjusted my seat because I was squish and the girl previously was super short. I put on my seat belts and adjusted all my mirrors. So I'm sitting there waiting, waiting and waiting. The RMV personnel took 2 phone calls while Andre was in back of me talking on the phone. It's like these two people were in their own little worlds. Finally, the RMV (road test instructor) acknowledge me and said "I have to call my co worker, sorry it will be one more moment". At this point I'm thinking are you kidding me, we have already been in park for 1/2 an hour. So after the instructor hangs up, the instructor says she has go inside to drop off the keys. The instructor is walking up the path to go inside the Armory. Andre says he hates this because apparently the instructor always do this. Meaning talk on the phone and get out of the car. So finally the instructor comes back and instead of preceding she informs me that we will be waiting for her co-worker because she will be riding along. Apparently the co-worker was new and the RMV instructor wanted to train her. By this time I OFFICIALLY been waiting in park for an HOUR. The co-worker of the road instructor did not come out until 20 minutes later. But we did not leave right away because before the co-worker can get in a woman who was scheduled to take the test before me but she came late showed up. So Andre (Yes he is still on the phone) told the instructor that he wanted the other lady to go first because she had to go to work. The instructor said no because we were going to be back in a few minutes. So finally I'm able to start my test after waiting in the car now for one hour and forty minutes. And I now have four people in the car. The RMV instructor is sitting next to me, her co-worker is in the back behind her and yes Andre who is still on the phone is seated behind me. After my test Andre did not even take me home which is suppose to be part of the package. Pick up drop off ! This driving school is very unprofessional the RMV instructor was unprofessional. SO again I want to warn everyone do not even bother to take your road test at Victory Road. Do not use ADP for a sponsor their car does not shift into gear easy and the steering is loose. Use at your own risk . However, I will never recommend anyone I know to use ADP or do a road test on Victory Road. read more

This is a really great choice for a driving schools. All of the teachers are skilled, experienced, and nice. I had already taken lessons with another driving school and failed the test. I felt anxious about driving and embarrassed that I did not yet have my license. But the teachers at ADP were calm and went out of their way to help me get to the road test. I would love to help them get more business. I recommend the school, especially if are an older driving student or have any anxiety about driving. read more
