I recently contacted Victory Driving School to schedule driving practice with my valid Azerbaijani driver's license, which includes a full English translation on the back. Despite Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 90, Section 10 clearly stating that foreign license holders can legally drive in the state for up to one year with a proper translation, the school rejected my application citing Appendix C from the RMV -- which only applies to license conversion, not to the legality of driving as a recent arrival. I have been in the U.S. for just 4 months, well within the 6-month window confirmed by the RMV for driving on a foreign license. I explained this to the school, but they were unwilling to acknowledge the legal difference. I found their approach dismissive and poorly informed of state law. It's unfortunate to see a driving school show such limited understanding of the legal framework they operate within. I do not recommend them to international drivers, especially those who meet all legal requirements but are treated as if they don't. read more

Instructor Ray is really great. I'm a bit older than the typical client and was very unfamiliar with driving starting out. I was extremely nervous and freaked out a lot on the road, but Instructor Ray was always very patient and helped me gain confidence. He had a set plan on how we progress each day and he drilled me on all the important aspects on the exam. Passed on my first try with him. My significant other also passed with this school. Instructor Chen deserves 5 stars - very patient and humble instructor at this place! The one star is for the ladies that continuously mess up appointments and hanging up on me when I've asked to speak to the manager. They continue to say there's no manager here and hangs up the phone. Instead of correcting the appointment mistake - they cancel the appointment and told me "you're trouble you don't get to make appointments here anymore." and hung up the phone. Just passed my exam today which I booked lessons with this driving school! My instructor Ray was amazing! He's approachable and friendly as well. He mad sure I know all the possible road test questions and answered all my questions about it too!! He told me everything technical that I need to know especially those necessary ones. Not only that, aside from just being an instructor. He also encourages you to be confident and believe that you know what you are doing. Since on my past driving tests I was so nervous and I ended up failing it. This time I gladly passed my test and I'm beyond happy! The office lady was also very helpful when scheduling the appointment. They accommodate what time you got on your free time even on Sundays just to have your lessons. My instructor said her name is ms Li. So thanks ms Li for all your help! I would recommend this school to anyone. I am deaf at my right ear and Ray did not have the patience with me. He often whispers when giving me instructions and forgets about my condition every time we have a lesson, I would have to remind him. He also always embarrasses me in front of fellow student and is nicer to Chinese people like him. They would laugh and tell me that they do better and speak in their language even if I am with them in the school vehicle. I was so unfocused during my test because of how he treated me. read more

I spent a lot of time researching driving schools before settling on Victory. I was a nervous student/first-time driver and needed an instructor that would be patient and encouraging. Five stars for Mr. Ray (and the receptionist). He has been a driving instructor for 10+ years and really knows his stuff. He was also always patient and calm. By the end of the third lesson, I had already learned everything I needed to know for the road test. The next handful of lessons was practice and confidence-building. There are 3 coaches in this driving school, I didn't choose who would be my coach at the beginning, so they arranged Mr. Law to me. Long story but in brief: Mr. Law only tells you something very straight forward (e.g. Gear D is to move forward). He didn't explain any about traffic situations. If you ask him, he would just "answer" you with another question (actually not answering, instead using a question to respond to you and made you stop asking), or he would ask you not to ask while driving. He is extremely unhelpful, I feel like I was begging him to teach me. I was still very confused after 4 classes with Mr. Law. I regret having him as my coach, and felt like it was a waste of money and time. Then I changed to Mr. Lin, and this 5 star rating is totally given to him (but he is really difficult to be booked). He told me the possible questions I may be asked during the driving road test (Mr. Law didn't mention any of these at all). Mr. Lin consolidated the driving knowledge and taught me how should I observe and remember. I have a much clearer concept after the first 2 lessons with Mr. Lin. I passed my test today! Mr. Lin is the best instructor ever! Speaking as a student who has failed 2 to 3 road tests, I have had my fair share of instructors who yelled at me, or were frustrated with me, or spent most time practicing what I already knew over and over again but not dealt with what I didn't know. Mr. Lin is absolutely the opposite. He is very patient and sometimes funny, he identifies and targets the root of my issues and explains them very well, he focuses on the content of the road test but also emphasizes safe driving for my benefits. There is nothing I would have changed about his instruction. My advice for other students: stick with him throughout your learning, have more lessons until he says you are ready, communicate if you don't understand. Took my driving exam with them. The lady over the phone was very helpful and understanding. Instructor Wu was nice to talk as well but he drove very unsafely while taking me for the exam. He was patient throughout the lesson and offered very valuable advises in fine-tuning my driving skill and in teaching me the fundamentals rules of driving in MA and beyond. I took about half year to learn how to drive here, typically once a week. And finally I past the road test. Let me tell you, this driving school is the one deserves my respect. The instructors here are more likely to be treated as friends. I could share my stories and life experience with them, and they told me theirs too, they are very good listeners. I truly think this is the best services you could find among the region. They will ask you about which part you think should be reinforced and just let you practice on it again and again. I just passed driving test yesterday！Sooooo exciting! I fully satisfy with this school's service and instruction. There is a nice office staff who will arrange the instruction schedule, and reminds your schedule every time. She is so scrupulous and patient. My instructor, Mr Lin, is a proficient driver and instructor(even if he looks young). I had had no any car operation experience before. So Lin tought me from the very beginning. He told me a lot of useful tips. Just after several days of learning, I am very confident about driving. I read all the reviews before I choose victory driving school, and they are all real!! I made a right decision to learn from Canton to Quincy. I was pregnant almost 6 month in October and I really want to get driving licence before the weather's getting cooler. The staff was very considerate and really took initiative to help me schedule the practices and road test as soon as possible. At begining, I booked 4 classes, but Mr. Lin recommanded 2 more before my road test. He was right and he is very professional and nice. Not only did he explain all the details about road test during the practicing, but also he teached me a lot about how to be a safty driver which I think is really really important. I passed the road test at once in October and I was sooo happy. It's really convenient for our famliy that I can get the licence before baby's delivery. I have passed my driving test through this school. Being a new student to this school, i didn't have experience with car driving. Just novice like others. I had taken 6 classes initially with Mr.Lin and all worthwhile. He recommended me to take more classes and i did and the result is i got my mass driving license. Shout out to instructor Mr. Lin. if you have a good teacher and if you won't miss the class and follow him/her no doubt you are going to be good at any art. Mr. Lin is not only a defensive and skillful driver but also a good teacher. He knows what he teaches and how to teach the students and pinpoint their mistakes without any hesitation.
