After using app-based walk and pet-sitting services, we wanted something more personal for our fur babies - we wanted them to see the same people on a regular basis, and to know that there were professionals who were watching out for their well-being with the same concern as us....we found that and more in The Long Leash. The love they get each day in the form of walks, pets, love and attention priceless, but then you add in The Long Leash special touches and it's beyond incredible: -after each visit, your walker will send personalized messages (with photos!) to you describing your angel's antics and actions (they are eagerly awaited by us everyday, and we promptly forward them to members of our family around the country who now love The Long Leash walkers as much as we do!) -we went on an extended vacation during which our walkers visited multiple times a day (messages after each visit, of course), and upon our return found a "welcome home" bouquet of flowers from our pets (our walkers). Adorable. -on rainy days, our walker takes our dog outside but then brings her in out of the rain to play brain games - she literally comes prepared with indoor fun to entertain and engage our angels even when they can't go outside! -they are experts at special requests and seem to love them and view them as a chance to know your pet better. -last but not least, our walker watches our pets' behavior as if they were her own, and notes any changes in appearance, and any new physical bumps or oddities that may be concerning, and any changes in behavior that we should look out for. I took both cards, not ready to face what I was still grieving. I stashed them away in a box and then a few years ago I was finally ready to do a tribute and memorial for Willow. I remembered clearly Be Here Now and I remembered how beautifully she photographed and what her purpose was behind what she did. It was a day in October that one of her events popped up on my Facebook. I wasn't able to attend however I asked if she could do a session for me and Briley and a memory of Willow too and if she had any special packages like that. She gave me some packages and let me choose. She beautifully and so kindly helped me through what was all these memories I had kept and narrowed them down into what her ideas were with what mine were. I am creative, but she is BEYOND creative and take every moment from the first email, the prepping, the photo session and then the review of your photos with such LOVE and PASSION! We scheduled…read morea photoshoot for our first ever dog Ginger, our little Shih Tzu, on her 1st birthday since we wanted it to be special. They worked with our little girl Ginger with such finesse. They really work hard to get good shots. Ginger is a very shy dog so the first part of our shoot was them just trying to let her open up by playing with her and giving her treats. She definitely opened up after a while that's why she got the oh so beloved tennis ball shot! My husband and I are not the best models either and we wanted to be in the photos. They taught us some poses to look decent in the pictures. They really work with you and your preferences--they make sure you absolutely love the prints and the photos you end up with. We had an incident where one of the prints had smudged ink which was very minimal--, but they went above and beyond to literally drive to our home to switch out the framed prints just to make sure we have them perfect! My husband and I got Alicia's engagement/holiday family session which was supposed to be a 30…read moreminute session as a family. We was absolutely amazing with our two dogs, 1 male Havanese who is 5 years old named Mac and a female havanese-poodle mix, Maizie. They are both pretty good with me and my husband when off leash in a busy area but they are pretty against paparazzi and usually we can barely get a good photo of them on our own. Alicia was awesome she picked out this great park in Santa Monica and even though we were 15 minutes late due to traffic coming up from Redondo Beach she was already set up and done scouting and ready to shoot! She made both me and my husband feel very comfortable for the shoot, especially since we are extremely awkward together in photos... and more importantly Alicia made our pups feel SUPER at home. Our little Maizie is a stray and is usually super scared of strangers but she didn't even bark at Alicia at all and was even open to letting Alicia pet her while we were doing solos with Mac. She was also really great at getting the dog's attention and she was very hands-on and active trying to get the best shot, even laying in the grass or on her knees with her 'knee pads' LOL. On top of how much fun we had with our pups, Alicia shot with us for over an hour instead of the 30 minute package we paid for AND she got our best photos to us within the day! It was an amazing experience! We honestly can't wait to shoot with her again, but this time probably her doggy lifestyle package so we can just have great photos of our pups playing around together!
