They were flexible with us on timing that worked for both parties and were super thorough on communicating what was happening daily. They ended each day with photos of progress made and an update on what would be happening the next day, timing for those coming to the house, etc. They worked with us on our more unique asks (installing super old antique doors) as well as guided and advised us on bigger decisions (removing walls, where to put build-ins in our mudroom, how to best configure our new closet). Crazy enough, we finished on time - actually a couple of weeks early. They've been back a couple of times since just to help with small things we ended up wanting revised or that we messed up (like my husband backing into our new stucco....). They care about their work and their clients. I cannot recommend them enough!

I also have a signed written commitment for payment from ownership, which has not been honored. Communication shifted once payment was due, and responsibility was redirected instead of resolved. I strongly recommend that any contractors not work or do anything because they don't pay. The owe their employees as well as I'm in communication with some of them as well as owe all of their subs that I'm in communication with. Your home will not be completed! What i found during this process was price gauging from so many other contractors until i found Quentin from Urban Element. Quentin gave me confidence that he could do the job in under 5 weeks and on budget. Quentin communicated with me weekly and gave me progress reports/photos and never once asked for more money then what we had originally agreed on.
