Terrible experience at the Manteca branch…read more My father, has been a longtime customer of Valley Strong Credit Union and has cashed business checks many times at the main branch in Bakersfield with no issues. Recently, he tried to do the same at the Manteca branch, where he's currently working nearby, and was treated with complete disrespect by the branch manager, CHARLENE SEVILLA. She questioned him about what he does for a living, demanded to see contracts to prove the type of business he runs, and was incredibly rude and dismissive throughout the interaction. This was not only unprofessional but felt completely discriminatory, especially since this has NEVER been an issue at other branches. It's frustrating and upsetting to see someone who's always handled his business legitimately get treated like a criminal just because he walked into a different branch. We expect consistency, respect, and professionalism--none of which were present at this location. The most frustrating part? After being denied in Manteca, my father had to drive 30 minutes to the Modesto branch, where the same check was cashed without any issue. We will be filing a formal complaint with the credit union directly, but I wanted to make others aware of how poorly managed and disrespectful this location can be. I had a small welding job that I needed done. It was repair of a metal table leg for an imported…read morewrought iron dining room table that was damaged in transit, when shipped from overseas. I called several shops were I lived and every one was too busy or thought the job was too small. No one would even look at what I needed done. I stopped by the welding supply shop in Tracy to see who they thought might be willing to do this job ( I figured they must know who does what if they sell products to them) & they recommended Rosa's and two other shops ( that were not willing to take on my job). I called and the man who answered said to bring it by. I popped by the next day & they looked at the damaged metal and said it was an unusual break & that they had never seen aluminum break in this manner. They said it may be forged but even so it was a very weird break that they had not seen before and it may or may not "take" but they were willing to try. They said they would do the job for far less than I expected & that if they started the job and the metal didn't look like it would take they wouldn't charge me. Wow!!! Then the gentleman said do you want to wait? It will only take about 15 minutes or so...so I waited. He finished the job in a bout 20 minutes and even took the time to hammer the repair so that when I had the metal recoated the hammered finish matched the rest of the piece. The repair looks GREAT! I thanked him for taking on such a small job and doing it so well...his response was thanks for bring this in I like seeing new things and having a new challenge and besides little jobs lead to BIG jobs. We appreciate you stopping by. Double WOW!!!! Rosa's shop is quite large and it looks like they do BIG jobs judging by the size of the pieces I saw being worked on, so my guess is they know what they are doing big or small. I highly recommend that you should at least call them if you need some welding or brazing work done. FYI they take Visa, MasterCard & Discover, checks, cash.
