My stepdaughter and I was at this bank yesterday to open a checking acoount for her since she will be going to the army. Merliza (not sure if that's the right spelling) was rude and needs an attitude check. Not in a million years will I switch to this bank with a person like her working there. Terrible experience at the Manteca branch. My father, has been a longtime customer of Valley Strong Credit Union and has cashed business checks many times at the main branch in Bakersfield with no issues. Recently, he tried to do the same at the Manteca branch, where he's currently working nearby, and was treated with complete disrespect by the branch manager, CHARLENE SEVILLA. She questioned him about what he does for a living, demanded to see contracts to prove the type of business he runs, and was incredibly rude and dismissive throughout the interaction. This was not only unprofessional but felt completely discriminatory, especially since this has NEVER been an issue at other branches. It's frustrating and upsetting to see someone who's always handled his business legitimately get treated like a criminal just because he walked into a different branch. We expect consistency, respect, and professionalism--none of which were present at this location. The most frustrating part? After being denied in Manteca, my father had to drive 30 minutes to the Modesto branch, where the same check was cashed without any issue. We will be filing a formal complaint with the credit union directly, but I wanted to make others aware of how poorly managed and disrespectful this location can be. The worst service ever. I cannot for the life of me get someone from here to call me back or send me information on getting credit for my business. I actually talked to a representative named Sonia yesterday and gave her my email to send me this information and she said she'd sent it right over and I never received anything. I'm not a member but the service I've gotten here so far is making me want to look elsewhere. read more

This place is getting worse every day. Their app is terrible it is always locking me out as it does to my son too. I tried to cash a check and because it was over a certain amount they wanted to call my daughter to verify it I told him they can't color she's at work I'd have to get a hold of her later they won't even get the managers OK it is at all we can't do that. So I came back later call my daughter had them talk to her and they cashed it but when I got home I found out for my daughterThey had been calling her at work I told him not to she can't be cold at work. I switch to Financial Center Credit Union two years ago. I left Bank of America because I got tired of all their fees and their customer service was terrible. I have been so happy with FCCU. Their fees are very minimal and the customer service is great. Within a week of me opening my account, I applied to re-finance my car loan. They not only lowered my finance rate by almost 9% they financed my loan in a few hours. I also, applied for a personal loan and was approved two hours later. Bank of America would never give me a loan but was eager to take all my money in fees. I love the personal customer service I receive at FCCU. All the employees know my wife and I by name or by sight. I will never bank anywhere else. read more

I dread this place every single time. To the point I transferred all my funds to another account at another bank. I'll no longer come here. Plenty of ladies here but only 2 work at a time and in rotation. This facility is run by a bunch "tellers". No one here really knows what it is to be a "Banker". Anyone can make a cup of coffee but that don't make you a barista. I need a bank that understands the importance of time, time management, professionalism and what a credit bureau is. This bank made it a nightmare trying to buy my first home. Two months in and they still haven't reported my paid off credit cards! To no surprise, no one here could help or knew when they report things like that. Refinancing both my cars here is completely out of the question after this mess. read more

Great bank with great staff! I stopped here in Manteca to do my banking. I usually go to the Stockton branches. It was refreshing to not have to wait in a line for 1/2 hour +. I was able to do my usual banking in my two accounts & start a third for my baby without feeling rushed. This branch is the cleanest one I've been to by far. I seriously hate this place now. I loved them until about 1 year ago. Now they are closed weekends. You try and go on your lunch hour and you spend 35 minutes just in line! No one is friendly. I paid our truck payment and my husband got a call 2 days later saying we were late. I had to call the Stockton office and was on the phone with them for 2 hours while they fixed Manteca branches mistake of putting money to a wrong loan. Horrible. Can't wait till our loans are paid off and can be done with the bank. read more

I went to this bank to open an account, go inside there is four tellers and three people in line it was around 4:15 when i arrived. I was in line for more than half an hour, when it was my turn the teller told me i couldn't open an account because it was too late and that they were going to close at 5:30 to come back first thing Monday. There was still half an hour till they closed. I didn't go back Monday took my business else where. Take your business else where, Horrible customer service, rude, and unfriendly. read more

Mostly for one representative in particular, Angelina. I go in to handle funds for my fathers funeral today. Granted I did not make her aware of this, so she started to push an auto refinance and then a credit card. Great job, I wish my sales team pushed like this. BUT then I explained "I'm dealing with my fathers funeral today" and there she goes continuing to push a loan, credit card, auto finance. I explained "not on my today's do list, but I know I have an old past due small account with you guys" and she continued to push and push about the severity of it. Literally a $300 limit that went unpaid. I get it, I was young and made a mistake that I know I owe but DANG, I'm dealing with my dads funeral today. Her words exactly "you really need to pay that, because we're not like anywhere else, the balance will keep growing, and growing, and growing, and growing" She needs to read people better, even when I got sarcastic she didn't pick it up. read more

After trying different banks and spending hundreds in random fees for who knows what charged by each bank, we started banking primarily with FCCU. I've NEVER been charged a fee greater than $2, if at all. There are no hidden charges period. The customer service is great, however, do expect to wait a bit if you need to go into the branch because there are usually only two tellers handling transactions while the others are typically handling loans/credit and the other is the manager. read more

Don't deposit a large check there because its a small town bank and have small town ways. Same amount deposited at Chase and Wells Fargo by other family members clears within 3 days and we have to wait more than twice that to clear the deposit. Also when deposited the receipt promised to have a small amount available several days after and when we went to make a small withdrawal we were held at the bank for almost an hour while calls were made back and forth AGAIN and had to bend over backwards before we could walk out of there with OUR money. When a bank manger smiles and you can clearly see its fake be warned!! Also when a main office manger Robert makes it clear they could care less where you keep your money time to look elsewhere. You bank at a Mayberry bank and thats what you get. read more

Only come here if you have all of the time in the world. I typically have to wait about 25 minutes on average to deposit a check. I would never bank here if it wasn't the credit union chosen by my work group. read more
