The price for a center console is $21.69 per their website. I spent an hour removing the console from the vehicle it was hard and laborious. At the check out window, the casher gave me price of almost $108. I know exactly their business model and it's unethical and borderline immoral. They insult the customer's intelligence by up charging them with their asinine verbal gibberish about wires, plugs, cables which is a part of the console and can't be removed. So the uneducated casher and her supervisor, both broadline illiterate tried to pull a fast one on me, price jumped from the advertised price for a complete console from, $21.69 to $108 dollars. Their logic is the price of $21.69 is for 1/5 of the console the rest is add on according to the mood of the casher and how much he/she like to embezzle/rob unsuspecting customer(s) that day. They treat you like if you are in a third world country with total arrogance, assuming that you are stupid customer. This so unscrupulous and borderline thuggery, robbing their customer in the open with full immunity. Absolutely no moral conviction as they lie about the price on their website and try to rob you at the checkout window. I just left the console and walked out. Wasted the unwarranted $5 dollars entrance fee to walk on dirty. Stay at home and buy on Facebook Marketplace or Ebay and save yourself the humiliation dealing with this unscrupulous so called business.

Anywho, unlike most dealerships I've been to, nobody waiting outside for me like a vulture, we walked up to the desk and they paired us with Aaron Galvan. I let Aaron know what we were looking for, and that our goal was to test drive, but not buy. Aaron was cool with it, not pushy at all. We went for the Santa Fe hybrid, but he also got us into an Ioniq 9 that we also really liked. I had already ordered a car from car max to be shipped for a test drive, so I had to at least wait for that to make sure I got my money's worth. He also was a key to look up there partner dealership's genesis inventory, which or my current competitor withh Hyundai. The facility was very clean, and the folks were really nice all around. I've been car shopping enough to know this is the exception, and not the norm. Would definitely go back for future purchases. Following up a couple weeks later. Initially didn't get a lot of communication, but it did start back a week later. Unfortunately they didn't get the inventory I was looking for once I passed on the car max option. But definitely liked working with this business and would do so again.

The only helpful person so far was a third party person whom I met through a computer screen, not even in person. I have a list of people who I had to and continue to deal with, and documentation of everything. They have incorrectly filed my vin number under another person, and seem to be in no rush to rectify it. Not only is this legally an issue, but I am also not able to use the bluelink that I should have had access to the past year. I have talked to managers from several departments, people in accounting, sales, even the service department. I bought a new truck with a 2 1/2" receiver. Even with the reducer, the play in the motorcycle carrier was unusable. They grinded down the ubolt stabilizer so it would properly fit my receiver. It improved the situation about 50% Then Brian told me about a product that could possibly remedy my dilemma.. He warned me it was a bit pricey but we had nothing to lose to try it out to see if it would work....and I'll be damned....worked like a charm. It was expensive, but not as much as buying a new motorcycle carrier. I wish all companies still operated like these guys. (If they did the world wold be a much better place). Also, the cpo warranty was included which is another $2k. Was told it was comprehensive and bumper to bumper. That was a lie. Also, a day after purchase, a faulty air dam notification came on. That's not covered either. So much for that 138 point inspection they do on used vehicles. You would think they might think to check the vehicle's battery power during that. Nope. When I called up there, didn't get the service department. Spoke to some arrogant sales person who just wanted to make excuses and not own up to their responsibilities of checking vehicles properly.     One of the shadiest businesses I've ever worked with. I've purchased 3 vehicles here over the years…read moreand each time, the experience gets worse. My first vehicle was about 10 years ago when Sterling McCall Lexus actually cared about giving stellar customer service, but I've seen this mentality decrease over the years.. maybe due to demand but it's completely unacceptable. I bought my 2nd vehicle during covid and had to wait for it to arrive from Japan. The negotiations felt like a "bait and switch" experience, where they say one thing and come out with completely something different on paper. Luckily we read behind the lines and called them out on it before the documents were complete. This last time was a year ago, and it was with Finance. Again, a sought after vehicle. I had a deposit down and thought it was weird they took my deposit and didn't call me with the vehicle of my choice, over a year later. They wouldn't give you your position on the waitlist.. and when I absolutely needed a vehicle due to an unexpected accident, they magically came up with something in production that would arrive within a month. Great! But the upsell of add-ons were the issue here. I clearly discussed with Finance the windshield replacement option and they told me I could be covered fully if I purchased the package for tires and windshield... I have documentation that the small print about the windshield replacement having a restriction of under 6" was never disclosed. That is, until I called and had to use it. No information about taking a photo with a ruler, of the size restriction.. the whole package was a scam.. because anything under 6" is not a windshield replacement but just a small chip repair through Caltex. Shady business all around, from sales to finance. I have never experienced this at any other dealers, what happened to just straight decent business? I think this will be my last purchase at this Lexus location.. trust me and drive a bit further.. the sales folks at Lexus Clearlake and Lexus Northside were more willing to sell a vehicle and provide proper customer service and care over the phone than Sterling McCall.. and if you use them for convenience due to location, read between the lines and do not trust a single word from anyone here.
