Anywho, unlike most dealerships I've been to, nobody waiting outside for me like a vulture, we walked up to the desk and they paired us with Aaron Galvan. I let Aaron know what we were looking for, and that our goal was to test drive, but not buy. Aaron was cool with it, not pushy at all. We went for the Santa Fe hybrid, but he also got us into an Ioniq 9 that we also really liked. I had already ordered a car from car max to be shipped for a test drive, so I had to at least wait for that to make sure I got my money's worth. He also was a key to look up there partner dealership's genesis inventory, which or my current competitor withh Hyundai. The facility was very clean, and the folks were really nice all around. I've been car shopping enough to know this is the exception, and not the norm. Would definitely go back for future purchases. Following up a couple weeks later. Initially didn't get a lot of communication, but it did start back a week later. Unfortunately they didn't get the inventory I was looking for once I passed on the car max option. Extremely disappointed in my experience the past year. From the day we bought the car up until this point, not one person has taken action to make things right or correct their errors. The only helpful person so far was a third party person whom I met through a computer screen, not even in person. I have a list of people who I had to and continue to deal with, and documentation of everything. They have incorrectly filed my vin number under another person, and seem to be in no rush to rectify it. The sales side of this dealership is actually pretty nice, even if they haven't had the vehicles I wanted in stock. I'd give them theee stars. The service side is everything wrong with car mechanics today. I'd give them negative three stars. Since I can't issue an average rating of zero, one star it is. That's a generous "rounding up." Communication is absolutely terrible. They don't follow up when they say they will, and their website is either way behind or the service reps are just outright lying to you about where your car is in the process. The service reps have no clue about what's under warranty and not. On one visit I was told to bring my car in immediately because it was almost out of warranty, so I did, but then I was notified that the warranty expired months ago. I knew that it had, but the technician didn't until she tried to comp my repair. If they provide you with a time estimate, double it and presume that you'll need to follow up multiple times with them for updates. For example, "you can pick it up today" means "it will actually be ready tomorrow," and "we'll have an estimate to you in an hour, hour-and-a-half max" means "you'll be reaching out at the 2 and 3 hour marks and we'll finally get back to you only because you kept bothering us." On my previous visit, I came in for an AC repair. They held the vehicle and extra day and all of a sudden recommended a serpentine belt repair that required extra charge and an hour of waiting. The belt they installed failed in less than a year. When I took the car to my usual mechanic for a replacement, his tech pulled off the old one, compared it to the new one, and showed me that it was the right length but the wrong width. $80 wasted to replace a repair that probably wasn't even originally needed. On my more recent visit, I came in for three specific needs on my vehicle. One was a specific recall and the rest were apparently known issues from the manufacturer regarding my model year. The technicians did their supposed "multi-point inspection" and came back with seven recommendations, which somehow only covered TWO of the three issues I brought the vehicle in for. One issue was completely ignored. Out of the five extraneous items that they added, three of them had been completed in the last six weeks and reported by the repair shop to Carfax, so there was zero reason to include those items. The other two were similarly unnecessary but the last servicing had happened months ago so it wasn't as egregious as the first three. Despite these items being known issues needing repair, none of the parts are in stock and they have to order them, so I have to wait and come back in a week or two. Unless you need a Hyundai specific repair job, such as a warranty or recall repair, skip this place entirely. Their diagnosticians and mechanics are complete scam artists. read more

I had an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience with this dealership yesterday. After spending an entire day communicating with their team--both over text and phone--to finalize a deal on a vehicle, I went in person to test drive and complete the purchase. I test drove the car, confirmed price and signed a contract to purchase, and was literally in the process of writing a check when they sold the same car to someone else that arrived after me and had not even test drove the vehicle yet. Their explanation was "miscommunication between dealership managers," (Antonio and Juan) which is unacceptable given how much prior coordination had already taken place. This wasn't a casual inquiry--I had clearly committed to buy the car, and they knew I was actively moving forward with the purchase.. Throughout the process, I've experienced repeated delays, inconsistent communication, and what I felt was a lot of double talk. I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at your dealership. I purchased a 2013 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid. Within hours of driving the vehicle home, the ABS warning light appeared, accompanied by a hybrid system warning instructing me to stop driving. The vehicle lost braking power, entered limp mode, and produced a grinding sensation in the wheels--posing a serious safety risk. I returned the vehicle the very next day. Your team claimed to have repaired the issue, but the same problem reoccurred just days later. When I brought the car back again, the dealership refused to perform any further repairs, citing the "as-is" sale clause. This response is unacceptable given the nature of the defect. Selling a vehicle with a faulty hybrid ABS hydraulic brake booster pump--an issue that directly affects braking performance and safety--is not only irresponsible, but potentially deceptive. Such a vehicle should never have passed inspection, let alone been sold without disclosure. The "as-is" clause does not absolve the dealership from accountability when a known safety defect is present at the time of sale. Group One Hyundai service department has a very knowledgeable staff to help you with your needs to service your Hyundai. Caleb was very helpful with continuous updates on the vehicle being worked on in the shop after it having its issues on and off putting it in a limp mode momentarily and wouldn't store a code. They had my vehicle several times trying to duplicate the issues due to it not storing a fault code or if it did, it would clear it out on its own after a few restarts making it difficult to duplicate for the technician along with warranty tech line. Once they were able to get a code to stick and were able to replace some parts under warranty this vehicle has never ran better! Heather the service director also got involved with my vehicle and made sure to keep me in the loop on her end making sure everything was being handled properly. Where do I begin... First of all, I THOUGHT I knew where I was going until I pulled up to an abandoned parking lot. Sterling McCall moved to a new building in JANUARY about a block away from their old location but I insisted on driving to where I thought I needed to go;assumptions! That's what happens when you go to mom and pop auto shops for oil changes on your vehicle. When I finally got to the right location, even though signs were pointing me in the right direction, I didn't see what I thought was the service center, SMH. It wasn't until I went inside and asked the receptionist is when I discovered that I had to drive through the automatic doors to get checked in. As I pulled up to the garage door, it automatically rolled up; fancy! I was greeted inside this enclosed room by 2 service techs. They were very nice in explaining to me what I needed to do and Troy, the service advisor, showed me where the lobby was so I could wait on my car. Every employee that I came in contact with was extremely nice from start to end. When I walked into the lobby, it was awe-inspiring! A huge seating area with 24 comfy chairs, 2 big screens and multiple charging outlets. You know how you go to someone's house and it's so tidy, you feel the need to take your shoes off so you don't track any dirt? Yeh, that's how I felt when I entered the lobby. I brought my own food and drink and asked permission to eat it inside, LOL! I visited the ladies room and even the sinks were built with the latest technology. As I was sitting in the lobby, I spotted my car through the bay window. I could see the techs working on my vehicle. No wondering what's going on behind closed doors. I had a front row seat to see all the action! I responded to the text that Troy sent me asking for my tires to be filled and car to be washed; Troy responded within 10 minutes "for sure!" I later received the text with the multi inspection report. Not only was it the detailed report but also a video showing everything that was checked and the fluids that were topped off. There were 2 things that required my immediate attention; cooling system drain and tire mount and balance. The report broke down why it would be beneficial to proceed with the service; so detailed and convenient! In total, it took 1 1/2 hours to do the oil change, car wash and coolant flush. Major tire retailers don't even have nitrogen to put in tires, but this place thinks I need green plastic valve stem caps for $150. $500 for a spray of Scotchgard, another $500 for some app. The worst of all is $500 to tint the two front windows. Oh Hyundai, where can I start?!? I bought the good old extended warranty for my tires, the interior and windshield warranty and that was a complete waste of money! My windshield crack, called the extended warranty, they denied the claim, the crack can't be more than 6 inches. Had a small hole in the leather, can't repair it due to it being more than one inch. February last year, it took them 2 months to get a transmission lock. Now leading up to my most recent encounter: I dropped off my 2024 Palisade Calligraphy on MLK Day for an oil change, a nail in the side wall of my tire and to address a clunking noise. I received the car back on 2/5, and the service department informed me there was a nail in the sidewall of my tire, yet they told me it was my responsibility to handle the flat. Again, I have road side hazard extended warranty, but according to my service manager, it was "expired." My main concern was safety--why wasn't this noted in the repair paperwork or at least addressed by filling the tire with air? Additionally, I'm questioning the thoroughness of the so-called 500-point inspection, especially after my struts were repaired. When I asked my service advisor about it, he dismissed it, saying it wasn't his problem. I was shocked and upset that the dealership seemed unconcerned about my safety, especially when they were willing to send me home with a flat tire at 7:30 pm. When I mentioned this, the service advisor claimed my tire warranty had expired--how is that even possible for a 2024 vehicle? To make matters worse, when I tried to resolve the situation of the tire and try to get the loaner vehicle back, the service advisor simply walked away. Juan, the technician, was the one who went above and beyond to help me. He not only helped me swap out the tire because my jack broke but he told me to came back the next day to speak with the Service Manager Heather. Heather helped and apologized for the service I encountered. I am deeply disappointed that a dealership would put a customer's safety at risk and treat them as if their concerns don't matter. To top it all off, they mentioned a knocking sound in my engine but didn't even bother to bring it to my attention or offer any explanation. With so many issues for a car being so new, it makes me think the quality of how their top of the line cars are made. It is such an inconvenience having to bring my car back and forth when all these problems could have been addressed and resolved with communication and explanations. First don't buy a Hyundai period, old new the electrical system costs to repair are ridiculous. Second when you have to take your car for recalls, they'll try to sneak something in there to charge you with. My 4 recalls are electrical and shorting out the SECOND battery I bought for this money pit, they want to charge me $436 for another new battery to fix the recalls. Didn't charge up my week old battery to try to get it to stay on for the repairs. They said there's nothing they can do until I get a battery. I have to walk 5 miles with this battery because they have my only means of transportation. Don't go to this dealershit or any Hyundai dealershit. Chevy, Honda or Toyota non electric is your best bet. As sooooon as I can get rid of this POS I'm getting me a Chevy and dealing with less stress. I call this place and Steele prior to driving ALL the way over there... both locations state they're booked out about a month but encouraged to do walk ins... BOTH FACILITIES ENCOURAGED WALKINS... yes, I told them the issue and solution prior to them mentioning 'just do a walk in' I also ensured I was speaking with the SERVICE departments... names? Nope didn't get but in the end, their names weren't worth knowing... so I go here first (that's another nope, not accepting walk ins... issue was a trunk latch base recall... I literally had a rope tied to my trunk going into my back seat... just tied next to my newborn. Needless to say, I drove all the way to ROSENBERG graciously and had my latch installed with ease. It was also less cluttered with cars and facility is a lot nicer. On the first appointment they brought my car in and came back stating they do not fuse to address the recall.
