I would definitely recommend Mr David's shop for any of your cars needs. I was referred to him by the dealership I bought my Jeep. I had a check engine light come on and David advised it was my catalytic converter and I wound up having to replace both cat converters. This is the place to go for brake jobs. I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT. I knew I needed back brakes (55k miles), but wasn't sure about front brakes since I had done them once already. I haven't been in Houston too long so when I heard my brakes start squealing, I got very anxious about finding a place where they would be repaired well and at a great price. I found Beraca using Yelp and their customer service is amazing. I came to the shop early Saturday morning where David diagnosed by brakes. I was most impressed by how well David explained the issues with my car. He made me come out into the shop to view the issues with my own eyes and answered all my questions. He ended up finding other issues with my brakes and tires that I had totally missed and that needed serious attention. I hope I don't have to come back here for a while but if I need help again, I will be coming here! The shop did start getting busy mid-morning so it took about 3-3.5 hours from diagnosis to driving off the lot, but I'm sure that's because of weekend rushes. Called in to have a quote on break pad replacement for my altima and David gave me an very reasonable quote (much lower than the shops in my neighbourhood). I'll go there and give it a shot and will update the review after the work is done. Just got back from the shop and had the rear pads replaced. David explained in detail why I should replace the rear one and not the front ones, not like other shops trying to sell me all front and back. Very happy about this place. They advised me what my car needed and didn't need. When I could expect to have to make updates and they changed both front/rear brake pads for a very reasonable price. I was very pleased. Don't get discouraged by the aesthetics. They don't have the most lavish waiting room but who cares if the quality of work is great. I'd suggest possibly getting dropped off and come back in a few hours. Also they close around 3 on Saturdays and are closed on Sundays as an fyi.
