I need to pick up new wipers and this was the closest to work. When I went inside I was immediately asked how they could help me. The young lady looked up the wipers I needed. Stop n Go! This is a great place to get parts for your ride. Automotive maintenance and repair is never fun in my book. But Advance Auto makes it super easy. I come to this location when I have questions- they're all very knowledgeable and friendly. I came in with a weird shaped light bulb that they were able to identify. When I told them that the now burned out light bulb was melting the housing it was in, they were able to supply me with a similar bulb with less wattage to bring the heat down. The clerk was fast, friendly and extremely helpful. The price was quite reasonable. I know I'd have paid ten times that if I'd asked a mechanic to help. The store was clean, the aisles were well lit, and I was able to get help from the clerk while socially distanced. The parking was easy with a big clean lot that's well lit. They're open late. Advance Auto Parts now has Die Hard Batteries, which they're pretty excited about. I'm excited for the Bruce Willis commercials. Yippie Kai Yay! read more

Came to this place to replace the battery on my girlfriends car. We are new to the area & did not know of a place near by. Found this place on yelp & the reviews were great so we wanted to try it out. First off couldn't be more pleased with the results! We were helped within 30 seconds of walking in the door. Waldo helped us out & provided great customer service! The cables & connections needed to be replaced because they were damaged beyond repair from oxidation. Waldo replace the cables & connections without charge. He also cleaned the parts of the cables that weren't damaged. While he was working he was talking to us & providing tips & tricks for battery maintenance. He didn't just stand there ignoring us while he worked. Being in the military, I always appreciate a business that gives a military discount. Not only did he offer the military discount but thanked me for my service. I wasn't even buying the product but he gave my girlfriend the discount anyway. Highly recommend this place! You won't be disappointed! read more

First time to visit this place because I desperately needed new windshield wipers. They installed them immediately, while I was waiting and browsing. It was super convenient and lucky for me it rained the next day!! They were out of all of the black touch up paint - so that is a minus in my book. I did pick up a nifty towel to clean and dry my car and some leather seat wipes that are good too. We went to start our car and found ourself with a dead battery. We got a jump and went to Advance Auto where Richard did a battery and alternator check. He was able to determine that the battery was bad and needed to be replaced. We originally bought the battery there and they were able to replace it for us. Richard was really helpful, he even swapped out the battery for us. It was nice to have such good quick service. read more

After seeing the rest of the posts for this Advanced Auto parts store, I must have hit them on an off day. I have frequented this store several times in the past year. The staff is usually quite attentive and professional. The store is always neat and clean. I have experienced some shortages of common oil filters etc. The challenges with today's visit was customer service. There were several staff members in the store, but no one manning the counter. I waited at the counter when I was ready to check out and even walked back towards the office area to try to find someone to run the register. It took a while for someone to appear. Recommendation that when multiple folks are working, someone mans the register. read more

In the last thirty days I have made three purchases at Advance in San Antonio. First one a set of brake shoes . I made a mistake and bought the front ones and needed the back instead. Having them installed and realizing they were the wrong ones I called and within half an hour they delivered the correct ones and made the exchange at no charge ! The other two purchases were batteries . They checked the alternators and installed the batteries replacing the connecting bolt and cleaning the connectors at no charge. The store manager on Perrin Beitel was very helpful in the brake shoe exchange even though it was my mistake! Patrick on Bitters Rd was very courteous, patient and helpful while installing the battery in my daughters truck. Today my truck battery had to be replaced. This was at the store on Austin Hwy, Waldo came right out with the tools completed the job in a very timely and courteous manner. I am not one to write reviews but had to write because I am overwhelmed at the level of customer service that the employees of Advance Auto have !!! THANK YOU !!! read more
