The price was adjusted upward 400% from comparable parts but I paid it because I needed it. 3. I drove 20 miles to pick it up only to discover that it was broken with a golf ball sized part of the box missing, still apparently worth 400% markup. My sales person was Brian Meddings. Do not use this person who works on markup and made good money on my part, but refused to have it overnighted to my location and made me call him several times to get status on this item. 4. Understand that going to a dealership is always going to be more expensive than mom and Pop shops, but they do everything right. The technicians have better training. They're also more likely to pick up trends on your vehicle if the brand matches the dealerships (i drive a ford). They'll also have a higher likelihood of discovering recalls and warranty replacements. Tim was my service guy. He was always in good communication with me, super easy to talk to, and honest. He not only ensured that the thread was repaired, but the other two spark plugs were replaced. He also gave me advice for an ongoing issue that I had going on with my car. He seems like he genuinely cares, and is knowledgeable. I grew up working in car dealerships (mom was a parts manager and I worked every day over summers from age 8-17), and developed a good radar for good service guys. I don't like a majority of the ones I've met over the years across the country, but I do trust Tim.
