I spent hours calling around trying to find a spark plug wire kit for a 2005 Hyundai Accent. We…read morewere in a difficult situation: we needed to replace the spark plugs and wires to hopefully resolve a check engine light issue so my son can get his car through inspection before leaving for college. Because, apparently, cars have an excellent sense of timing, we couldn't wait several days for the parts to be shipped. I called the AutoZone on Mt. Rose. They didn't have the wire kit in stock, but I spoke with one of the store managers, who was very helpful. He told me they could have the part transferred from the Spring Grove store and available at Mt. Rose by 9:30 the next morning, saving us the drive from Red Lion to Spring Grove. To arrange the transfer, I was asked to pay for the order in advance. Since I also needed spark plugs, a socket, and a few other items, I spent time on the phone putting together the entire order and paid for it by credit card. I was told I would receive a call the next morning. By 1 p.m., I still hadn't heard anything, so I called the store. The woman who answered was immediately defensive and told me the order had never been called in to Spring Grove, so there was no way it could have arrived. Okay. Great. That certainly explained why the part wasn't there, but not WHY the order I had already paid for hadn't been handled or what I was supposed to do about it. At no point did she clearly explain what had happened, so I initially thought she was implying that I was somehow supposed to have called Spring Grove myself. I had to keep asking increasingly basic questions: Who was responsible for making the call? Why wasn't it done? And, most importantly, what exactly am I supposed to do now? Eventually she said, "Whoever took your order never called it in." So I asked, "So the order was messed up?" Her response: "I didn't personally mess up your order." Fantastic. Mystery solved. I had not, in fact, accused her of sneaking into the store the night before and personally sabotaging my spark plug order. Obviously, I meant THE STORE had made a mistake. At this point I was much more interested in what AutoZone planned to do to fix the problem than in establishing which individual employee should receive personal credit for it. Unfortunately, there still didn't seem to be much interest in actually solving anything. Her suggestion was that I "just" drive to Spring Grove. Except I had already paid Mt. Rose for the entire order. So now I found myself explaining why driving from Red Lion to Mt. Rose AND Spring Grove to collect three simple automotive parts defeated the entire purpose of arranging the transfer in the first place. Apparently I had accidentally signed up for an AutoZone scavenger hunt. I finally told her to cancel the order so I could handle purchasing the parts myself. I still have to verify that the refund was actually processed. And here's the best part: when I called the Spring Grove store directly, they told me the transfer HAD been called in. According to them, Mt. Rose was then supposed to complete the process so the item would be included in the morning shipment, and that step was never done. So the order was mishandled, the explanation I received was apparently incorrect, no one took ownership of the mistake, and I was offered essentially no help resolving a problem with an order I had already paid for. I ultimately purchased the parts from the Spring Grove location because I needed them that day and didn't have much choice. Otherwise, after this experience ... particularly the complete lack of ownership, problem-solving, or even a basic "Sorry, we messed this up, let's fix it" ... I won't be shopping at AutoZone again. On the bright side, I now know significantly more about AutoZone's internal part transfer process than I ever wanted to.

I mentioned it maybe the battery, he asked me to check the wall and look for the group size he called out, they had it. He asked me to get the car over. We get it over and the tech takes a look and says the alternator is out. Tech says I will charge the battery up for you a bit, while the tow gets here. I was then asked if I would be in the area and come back or they could ship to my home so I could install. I paid them to install. Now I see why they ask for payment upfront. Do not trust. Calling my bank today and reporting this as fraud. BEWARE. Poor customer service seNo wonder they have low ratings. DO NOT TRUST. Update 3/519. It's been almost 2 weeks and have yet to receive my money back. Had to contact the states attorney to file charges against this company. Do not trust they are a joke.

Stay away from this place like the plague. They recently offered a groupon for tinting but when I…read morecalled to make the appointment they informed me that the groupon tinting was restricted 40% without disclosing it on the fine print (I wouldn't have bought it if I had known about the restriction). When I brought this to their attention over the phone they argued a bit but finally agreed to do the specific % I had wanted. I made the appointment for 9am. On the day of the appointment I arrived exactly on time....but the owner (John?) was 30 mins late. Trying to keep positive, we exchanged pleasantries and started to discuss the tinting process. I finally brought up the % I had wanted and that's when things started down hill again. They refused to do anything else besides 40% and then they offered to "upgrade" (+$100) for my choice of tint % and because the 40% was less "color stable" (CLASSIC BAIT AND SWITCH). I asked that he put the 40% restriction in writing so that I could return the groupon and he refused. Enforce an undisclosed restriction then not be honest enough to stand behind it by putting it in writing? Very very very shady. So, not only was I lied to on the phone, but when asked to put the restriction in writing all he could say was "that's not how we do things". STAY AWAY.

Horrible customer service. Day 1...I found a car that I wanted to look at for parts but it was…read morerecently brought in and still in the employees only area so I was not allowed to walk in to see if the tires etc were worth coming back for. Employee inside fence told me in 2 weeks it would be in the yard. On the way out, I asked employee #2 how long car had been there so I could figure out when 2 weeks would be up. He didn't know but said cars were usually in there about a week. Day 2...car was still inside fence. Day 3....car was moved to yard where I could see it. It was in the air and precariously balanced on 3 rims under the frame. I removed 3 of the wheels and car car fell (towards me) while trying to remove 4th wheel. I was able to get out of the way because I had been standing while removing the lug nuts. Had I been sitting, I wouldn't be writing this right now. I had saved the right front wheel for last because I noticed someone had a different size lug nut on it. My wrench did not fit. I called the office from the yard and they said they did not loan tools and I would have to dig around in other cars for the right size lug wrench. I eventually found one and loosened the nut. I called the office and told them that the car had fallen and asked them to lift it so I could get the last nut/wheel off. I was told that they paid their forklift operators too much, to waste their time lifting a car. (If they had properly secured it the first time they wouldn't have to come out and do it again) After a lot of arguing, pleading and begging, I finally got someone to lift the car so I could get the last wheel off. I walked back to the front of the yard (quite a distance) to get my truck to drive back to pick up the wheels. They said I couldn't take my truck back. (about a month prior, my brother was told to drive back to pick up a hood) So, I made 2 more trips back and forth to get the wheels. I was told by the guy at the office that I can put them by the gate and pull my truck up to the gate to pick them up, so I did. I moved the truck to the front gate and they refused to open it. I had to move my truck, walk back in to the yard, and bring the wheels out a different entrance to put them in my truck. These people intentionally made it as difficult and even as dangerous as possible for me to buy from them. It will never happen again.
