I went to Roberts for an oil change for my BMW. Staff were friendly and even replaced my key battery at cost (I told them my key wasn't working and gave permission to fix it). It's not always easy to find quality mechanics, especially ones who know BMWs, so I'll be going there again when I need to. The mechanic also looked over my car and let me know about any concerns. They originally asked if I could drop my car off for the day but when I asked for a specific time and said I'd like to wait, they gave me a time and called me as soon as it was ready about an hour and a half later (just as they had estimated). read more

Roberts is the only trustworthy auto repair shop I've dealt with in Lancaster in ten years. Roberts has been fair, courteous, detailed, thorough, and helpful. Previously, I was ripped off at a local chain auto repair; and by a regional dealer. But in both cases, Roberts correctly diagnosed my issues and saved me money. Furthermore, Roberts Automotive provided detailed and thorough diagnostic reports on car computers and error codes (BMW/MINI). I wish I had gone straight to Roberts initially because other shops ripped me off and couldn't resolve my issues. But Roberts stepped up, fixed my issues, and billed me fairly. Ever since I'll take all my cars to Roberts. I trust Dave in service and Troy in the shop. This is a trustworthy business, unlike so many others. read more

Tried to make me pay 900 for a broken radiator clip on my jetta. Took it to another shop and they estimated 500. Major price jump. They were extremely nice but don't let that fool ya, especially if you're a young girl with no knowledge on cars. read more

The service is nothing extraordinary. Same thing you would get anywhere else. Prices are way more than other places. I'm pretty sure they overcharge. I'd say only come here if you're in a bind. read more

My go-to place for my 99 Audi A6 - and when I say go to - I mean a lot. If you have an older Audi you know what I mean. This group has helped me with a destroyed engine, and on top of that, countless repairs to the front suspension. Not only are they communicative and friendly - they really hear you when you talk about financial boundaries and are willing to work with you to keep your car as functional and as safe as possible with a constant eye on the costs. They keep meticulous records and in the event that something they have previously repaired goes wrong - I have found on 2 occasions that they repeated a previous repair because they were unsatisfied with the long term result. ( Free of charge mind you) I have yet to find a car repair place with more integrity in the Lancaster area. My engine repair was like having my car reborn - and it's not often to have such a big repair go off without a hidden issue or some kind of quirk - in my case - it was a tribute to their thoroughness - My old girl has never run better. They aren't the least expensive place you can go to in the area but I'd say they'd come in the top tier for Value. read more

Had to get the attorney general involved...charged us 500 just to look at the car and still had no clue, so we took it elsewhere. At the other garage they diagnosed it for 70 in one hour. We got the at involved because we felt we had been ripped off and after fighting with the garage they wouldn't refund us. Thank goodness the pa attorney general came through and we got our money back. read more

I love this garage! They hurried my repairs through when I was in a jam and my car broke down. They hurried me in for a quick oil change before work and they send out frequent specials/discounts. They do a routine check of your car and keep those notes on record to remind you when you need something done to your car to keep it in good maintenance. The only draw back at all and the only reason I didn't give a 5 star is they are a little more pricey than some of the other garages around the area. read more

Very Disaapointed. About 2 weeks ago, I called to get a rough estimate for having front brake pads and rotors intalled on my Audi. The woman on the phone said they will get back to me. Never received a return call. I then left an email through their website requesting the same info and again received No reesponse. If they did not want to do the work, at least a response would have been appreciated. Guess I will still be looking for a service provider for my Audi and Mercedes. Frank read more

Going to the mechanic is never fun. That said, this experience was as painless as it could be. My truck broke down an hour from home. I pulled in to Roberts at about 4 p.m. as it was the nearest my GPS could find and I frankly did not have a lot of options. By 5:30 they had my problem diagnosed (faulty fuel injector) as well as an estimate, and my 6 year old daughter and I in a rental car and on the way home. Despite the breakdown, we even made it back in time for Girl Scouts. :) By 1 p.m. the next day, my truck was fixed and I drove back in the rental, made the swap right on the premises (no need to return to Enterprise) and was on my way home. The cost was of course not cheap, (it is never is) but I've since researched the price and found it to be reasonable. Customer service was stellar. Truck is fixed. Cost was reasonable. read more
