I was scheduled to get a battery at Firestone on Belmont Avenue in Youngstown. I showed up at a scheduled 7:00 a.m. appointment and Firestone didn't have the battery and weren't going to be able to get the battery until at least 9:00 a.m. It was getting late and I needed to get to work. I went to Advance Auto on Belmont Avenue (before the store opened) and the General Manager Rob Rudolph was able to replace my battery (a difficult path to replace the battery) within 10-15 minutes. He even gave me the best price the store had. I'll send all my car business to Advance - - their general manager Rob rocks. read more

I went to three different shops to try and get my car fixed, and this was the only one where I found someone genuinely kind, helpful, and willing to actually work on it--plus the prices were fair. Being from out of state (MD), I was stressed trying to figure out what was wrong with my car, especially with being a college student. The manager here was awesome--super quick to figure out the problem, explained everything clearly, and was just a great guy to talk to. He was way more helpful than any of the other shops I went to. To put it in perspective: AutoZone told me my alternator was messed up (which wasn't true) and clearly didn't want to bother with replacing the battery in my 2019 Chevy Trax. Firestone wanted to charge me $40 just to check the battery--without even telling me beforehand--but ended up waiving it since they never mentioned it up front. Advanced Auto Parts is amazing. They replaced my battery and were quick about it, but this shop stood out the most because of the honesty, professionalism, and real support I got here. On top of that, the guy I spoke with is a badass Marine--his work ethic and straightforward attitude definitely show. If you want something done quickly, honestly, and in a friendly, hardworking environment, this is the place to go. read more

We had Tina from Ohio Van and Truck Supply put tinted window film on 50 pieces of glass in our…read morehouse. This was a two day project, which was completed today. We had her cover windows, French doors, and garage glass doors. She did a fantastic job! We will have her return next year when we finish our walk out basement to cover the windows and French doors there. Tina is very knowledgeable about window film, and I am very glad that we chose her for this project. I got another quote from another company, and the guy had told me that we could pick any window film. He had dozens of different films to look at, and those would work for auto glass but not our low E double paned windows in our home. Tina informed me that using any type of film could cause the windows to crack because of the heat buildup. Having low E windows greatly reduces the choices of film that can safely be put on our windows. The window film Tina used is safe on all types of windows. There is also a warranty against window cracking, which she gave me today. The window film blocks 99% of UV, which is something we wanted to prevent fading, and it also reduces the amount of heat coming in the window. Tina explained putting any type of film on a low E window like ours can cause a heat buildup between the double pane and crack the window. Not all companies are aware of this, as I found out. Tina has been doing this for over 30 years, and she is most certainly a perfectionist. She redid one set of our French doors three times because she wasn't satisfied with the result. She is very professional, and I would highly recommend her!

Ultra Shine gets the whole vehicle clean but the big bonus, something the others don't accomplish, is the tailgate is virtually dirt free. I went to advanced on Belmont needing a battery. I called in the morning and was told they have in stock. I stopped in on my lunch and the manager Rob took excellent care of me. He gladly changed my battery in the rain and checked my alternator and an engine code from my battery dying. Rob was outstanding and was a true professional I would highly recommend Rob and his team to tackle any automotive task. Rob.. thank you for kindness and your service in the military.
