I had been stranded in Deming, NM for 4 weeks trying to find an air spring for a 38 foot diesel RV…read more Firestone kept pull shipping dates out of the air, until they finally admitted the spring is not even in production, and they don't know when they will make it again...what the FLUFF?! I called Johnny Barnes Co to see if they would come to Deming from Las Cruces, and, if they could work on an RV chassis. Mike (Johnny's brother) assured me he could-he showed up with a full work truck, tool boxes, air compressor, jacks rated for loads bigger than my RV and a 'can do' attitude. The springs the engineers at Reyco-Granning said would work didn't fit. Mike took the blown air bag with him to El Paso the next day and managed to source an almost EXACT fit at Wofford. He then drove back to the state park I was at and installed it in about an hour & half. He had to re-seat the leveling jack foot pad that got knocked off, but he completed that in about 15 minutes of muscling it onl. He arrived both days, focused on the task at hand, unlike the first mechanic in Deming I called that showed up with a pickup with some tools, no way to lift the RV, and kept calling his girl friend to bring him more stuff from home. This company works on the suspension and engines, lighting systems of commercial trucks at the roadside, quickly, to get you going again. Their rates for trip charge and labor were reasonable and he gave me the invoice for the air bag he purchased. I bought a second airbag to replace the other side later. To recap: call these guys for anything related to the drive train, engine, suspension, etc.. If you need RV 'house' things repaired, go to Jimmie's in Deming

Mike took the call even though he was in El Paso and could have easily passed on it. He drove all over, took apart the hub, figured out what parts we needed, drove all over to get them, got us fixed enough to get into town and unload. I left trailer with him and he completely fixed and made trailer bulletproof. Had a great attitude, risked his life on the side of the highway, and overall took care of getting us back on the road. Thank you so much Mike.

This UHaul location has the best hours of operation and the most helpful staff of any UHaul I have ever been to (and all of them have been pretty great). I will continue to use this location for all my moving needs. I have shopped and purchased: boxes, plastic wrap, dish foam holders, moving blankets, tape, moving straps, and various items! I highly recommend this location! My only complaint about UHaul - the cooperation - is that they constantly give you coupons for your prior purchases but they have so much fine print regarding them that almost every single one has gone to waste.

This location also has storage units, and all sizes of rental vehicles for moving including trucks and trailer pull behinds. So I was more than a little disappointed when I picked up my 26 foot truck for our move from New Mexico back to Florida and discovered a couple of things that would have made that 1900 mile trip a lot more comfortable and enjoyable. I had made my reservation for the 26 foot truck (their largest) weeks ahead of time. It was not a sudden last minute booking. I told them where I was going and what the distance would be. I was really disappointed to discover that the driver's seat only adjusted forward and backwards - not up and down. I ended up putting a folded kitchen floor mat with a seat pad to sit on so that my field of vision was in the middle of the windshield (I'm 5'9" so I guess they design these trucks to be driven by NBA basketball players?!). My last big disappointment was that this truck only had an AM - FM radio. No CD Disk, and No USB Port. 1900 miles, 3 days traveling across America with only AM - FM radio. Did you know that in West Texas near the Pecos you can't get anything on FM or AM? Again, I had made reservations weeks before and they new how many miles I'd be traveling, ...and this rental was not cheap! Yet this is what I got. On the positive side, the truck performed well. The air conditioning worked well. It had the Ford F650 V-10 engine. It got around 8 miles per gallon, and had a 60 gallon tank. The governor was set at 75 mph (thank god), which was good as the speed limit in west Texas is 80 mph. It had good brakes, but with it fully loaded the acceleration struggled (something I learned quickly when passing or merging). It road pretty rough - letting you know every bump in the road. Finally, the tires needed balancing - around 60 mph the truck would start to shake, but then came out of it at higher speeds. I stated this to the Manager where I turned it in. After 3 days I was really glad to get this truck unloaded and turned in. This trip pretty much made me a believer in PODS. However if you're ambitious and want to drive a 26 foot truck across the Country I wish you the best of luck.

We purchased a Momentum 376 TH from this dealership. The single thing that keeps me from giving…read morethem fives stars boils down to the sales manager. We had the price agreed upon until we realized there was not a third air conditioner. My salesman (Frank - totally awesome person) suggested I call the sales manager (Jason) and speak with him. I called around 1 pm on Friday and left a message for him to call me. As the day grew later, Frank suggested our agreed upon price and them throw in the third a/c and we've got a deal, my reply was " I'll be on my way to pick it up" (we were coming from Phoenix Az). Frank called back a half out later and said sales manager said no way. He and I both were shocked. I don't sell RVs for a living but I would not think you would blow a 120k sale over one air conditioner!! Around 7 pm I sent Frank a text asking for Sales managers boss' name and number. Frank supplied that and said he would have Al (the GM) call me the next day at 10 am. Al called and we got it worked out, I picked up the rig the next week. The sales manager never bothered to call me!! My point is that the sales manager at this dealership would not even call his CUSTOMER that's trying to give his dealership over 100k for an RV. One would think they would want me going back to Phoenix telling all my friends that if they want an RV they need to go see Frank in Las Cruces. Had Al and Frank not gotten involved at the level they did, Holiday World would have lost my sale, not to mention the 5k I spent on other items at their dealership. And as we all know word of mouth advertising is priceless!! In conclusion I wish to recognize Frank and Al for making this transaction work!! Al and Frank are truly ambassadors at the highest level for this dealership. Special recognition to Santos for coming through last minute getting some factory A/C issues corrected before we left the lot. So if your purchasing from this dealership go see Frank and if need be, just bypass the sales manager, go straight to Al.

I had an incident out on the highway coming into El Paso and did a quick search for Trailer Repair…read more It wasn't anything major but wanted to get it looked at regardless, I made a phone call and was connected with Juan in the service department. I told him I was approaching and be ready for me and he wants. The minute I walked in, he went out and took a look at my roof, immediately went to work at replacing the tape on the top of the roof, check my wheel bearings for grease, installed two new vents on the side of my trailer for less than $100. It isn't so much the inexpensive cost of my repairs as much as it was the absolute spectacular customer service provided by Juan. For a brief minute I forgot that some people in business understand the logic behind taking care of a customer and he did exactly that. So if Juan or his management get a chance to read this review, recognize that you've got a great hand and representative of your company in this young man .

I have called repeatedly attempting to get an appointment (as is their new protocol following Covid-19)... OK fine. But I can't get a call back for several days! OK, I have some free time today, I'd like to make an appointment... Now they are telling me that they are requiring a DEPOSIT ($$$) to even make an appointment to shop there! Really??? What if you don't have anything that suits my needs? What if I don't like the salesman (highly likely from Any.do be whole would require any form of payment just for the privilege of shopping there)? I really don't think so, Trailers Plus! You have lost what was almost certainly a cash sale on a $5K trailer. Best of luck to you, but I think that plot of land may have a "Land Available" sign hanging up soon.
