Later we receive a $1300 bill saying her Medicare or BCBS will not cover this as it was coded incorrectly. I visited the office and was assured this bill would get recoded and resubmitted. Never happened. I documented 13 phone calls I made, left voicemails for every one in their directory and no response. I do not even have words for such an uncaring, unprofessional Doctors office. 5 Stars for a prompt and friendly PCP…read more I've been putting off getting a Primary care physician for a while, but had several people recommend Dr. Maharaj and finally called to schedule a new patient appointment. It took 6 months to get in for my first appointment, but it was worth it because now I'm an established patient and can get in whenever I need. My suggestion? Make the appointment even if you think it's too far out. You can always cancel if you find another PCP that can see a new patient sooner, but establishing yourself as a patient is key. The office is located near the Target shopping plaza just outside of Baldwin Park in an office building. It is pretty basic, but clean and the woman at the front desk was very friendly. A nurse brought me back to take my weight and medical history. He wasn't the friendliest and I heard him tell several patients he was tired (when they asked "Hi! how are you?" I can definitely understand being at work when you're not feeling up to it, but it made me a bit worried he was tired because he was sick and being in a doctor's office already has me worried I'm going to catch something... Anyway, Dr. Maharaj came in and was a pleasure to speak to. She was clearly very knowledgeable, and spent time asking me questions and running a quick physical exam. Overall, I had a great experience and though I hope I won't be there often, I feel I'll be in good hands when I need it. Quick note: Looks like they offer some aesthetic services like botox as well as other services like well-woman exams.

I get my annual physical and well woman exam as well as manipulation because Dr. Maharaj is also an osteopath. It's amazing how she can feel her way around and can tell where your body is off alignment. I always feel amazing after a tune up! I also love that this is a small business. It's private practice, not a big hospital. I feel genuinely cared for by Dr. Maharaj and her entire staff. She even had her son intern one summer and he was so professional and attentive. Almost forgot to mention, she also administers botox, fillers and other beauty procedures. I've never gotten it before and I won't go anywhere else because Dr. Maharaj is an artist with these shots because she makes them look so natural and not overdone. I also love the fact that an MD is injecting them vs a esthetician at some beauty bars.

I was very apprehensive about having to go through surgery as I'd never really undergone any medical procedures but after I saw Dr. Freeland for my consultation I left feeling very relieved. He was so nice and took his time explaining how the surgery would go. He answered all of my questions so I no longer felt anxious about the upcoming procedure. The morning of my surgery he also stopped by to walk me through the surgery and recovery again to make sure I had no questions beforehand. It's been about a week since recovery and I've had no complications; recovery has been straightforward and how he explained it would go. I definitely recommend him to anyone who is needing to have this procedure done as well!

After calling and leaving a message for clarification about a medical order, I never received a return call. When I called back later that day, I was simply told I needed to schedule an appointment to speak with the doctor. The office is over 30 minutes from my home, so it's not as if I can just stop by to resolve a communication issue. Like many large practices, everything goes through a call center, making it nearly impossible to reach the office directly. Florida has no shortage of medical providers. Customer service is what separates exceptional practices from mediocre ones, and this experience has been disappointing. I'm posting this in the hope that it gets the attention of the front office. I'll update my review if the situation is resolved.

I was nervous to try a new office but heard such wonderful things about this practice. Dr.Khan has really made me feel comfortable and at ease when coming into the office. She has an incredible attention to detail and is extremely thorough with her examinations. I always appreciate her willingness to explain things to me and how she is always ensuring that I understand what is happening and my options. I also appreciate that the practice offers mental health services in addition to primary care. I feel like having it all under one roof makes that referral and ability to connect to the right resources so much easier! Scheduling is also super easy! They are always able to find a time to get me in which I like! The front desk staff is so friendly and able to help answer questions whenever they come up. Instead, we were informed by the office manager that the appointment had never been confirmed on their end and that my father was being discharged from the practice due to an alleged no-show on 6/9 and rescheduled appointments on 6/26 and 6/30. To clarify: - My father never had an appointment on 6/9. Neither he nor I scheduled one, nor were we ever informed of one. - On 5/30, he was hospitalized at AdventHealth East Orlando and was later transferred to PAM Rehab Hospital in Winter Garden, where he remained through 6/13. He was physically unable to attend, or even be aware of any appointment during that time. - It turns out the 6/9 appointment was made by AdventHealth during his hospital stay without our knowledge or consent. - I called the office on 6/26 and 6/30 to reschedule due to my father's recent hemorrhagic stroke, which has left him with significant daily challenges. At no point was I told of a rescheduling or cancellation policy, nor was I warned that his status as a patient was at risk. I was simply given a new appointment for 7/2. To then arrive and be told that his appointment was unconfirmed and that he had been discharged, with no prior notice was shocking and deeply frustrating. The communication breakdown was unacceptable. I strongly advise against seeking care from this office, especially if you or your loved one is living with a disability. Managing a disability is hard enough without the added stress of poor communication, indifference, and a lack of compassion from a healthcare provider and their staff.
