I know my mother uses Cryo for chronic pain, so I thought it was worth a shot for some acute pain as well. I admit that I was nervous, but I called Cryo Spa and was lucky to be given a same-day appointment. They're open until 8pm on some weekdays, so it made it easy for me to head straight over after work. They were even able to get me in early. The girl at the desk who was the one who helped me with the process was super patient and understanding. I was worried about leaving my belongings unattended in a new place, but you actually get to stay in a room with your stuff and keep watch the entire time. The attendant left the room while I changed, and then I stepped into the Cryo chamber while it was turned off. The sound of the door closing alerts the attendant, and then she comes in and elevates you so your head and neck are above the chamber, and then the cooling begins. She talked to me the whole time, asking about my injury to distract me from the excessively freezing temperatures for the three minute session. I think I did feel some improvement since the experience, but I have to admit that their prices seem steep for a three minute session. I'm not sure if time in the chamber increases with more experience, but this is certainly something to consider. I'm definitely thinking about returning for another session.

It can be a little challenging to reach if coming down Buck Road, but with patience the traffic and red lights can be overcome. It is well worth your effort to find your way there. Although cryotherapy (exposing your body to extremely cold temperature for a short period of time to deal with autoimmune conditions through the release of endorphins and anti-inflammatory proteins) is the main attraction, I was there on a first visit for a full body massage to address lingering lower back issues. I was greeted promptly by the front desk person, who asked me to complete three pages of information regarding my medical history and reason for coming. Before I was finished, my masseuse Marla was introducing herself with warm smile and firm handshake. Before starting the massage, I was also introduced to Lucy, the owner of the facility. She offered to give me a quick tour. She showed me the cryotherapy equipment, shiatsu and mediation rooms, and finally the massage chamber where Marla would attempt to loosen my lumbar/sacral spine and take my discomfort away. The place is bigger than it looks from the outside, and Lucy was very knowledgeable about all the modalities offered. When it was time to start my massage, Marla directed me to disrobe and get under the sheets on the table, face down on the headrest. She left the room while I did so. Upon returning, she asked a few questions about the strength of the massage desired (strong), and instructed me to tell her if I was experiencing pain (Don't worry. I don't deal with pain in silence.) She explained that she would be doing a combination of stretches, deep tissue, pressure point and Swedish techniques which she labeled as, "Sports Massage." She was amazing. Her hands intuitively found the discomfort in my back and legs, and dug, kneaded, lifted/stretched my joints, and actually moved the muscles, tendons and ligaments around to release their tension and help them find their proper place in my body alignment. She had incredible strength, and was able to lift each leg, pull it further upward, while manipulating the musculature and joints. All the while, we conversed quietly about how I was feeling, giving me directions to help her, and informing me about her experience in massage and healthcare. Fascinating woman. Excellent healer. After my hour, I arose slowly. I felt looser and longer. More significantly, a sense of wellbeing and mild euphoria surrounded me. I was extremely relaxed and felt a limberness and flexibility that had been absent for a long while. I slept very well last night. This morning, even as I write this review, my body feels like it is glowing. I know I will return to CryoSpa regularly to maintain and improve this sensation of health, strength and vitality. Marla did great work. I also want to give the Shiatsu a try, and if brave enough, go into the cryospa itself to see what that can do. Totally positive first impression.

I have…read morehad chronic neck pain for years and have tried it all (PT, chiropractor, steroid injections, and massage) and end up with out a cure. A friend of mine highly recommended Laura so I gave it a try and after the first session, I got up and was able to walk around with no pain (slight soreness which Laura said to expect, which only lasted that day). I can't describe the feeling of being in pain for so long, trying literally everything , with no improvement... and then finally after one session, feeling the relief I felt. Thank you Laura! I had no idea this treatment style of acupuncture existed. Laura treats by releasing trigger points called dry needling. I've had acupuncture before but not like this. Highly recommend seeing the magical Laura asap!

I have been in PT for years now, but have continued to experience ongoing discomfort. Google is usually a no-no for me when it comes to researching health issues, but in this instance I'm happy that I did it since it led me to considering acupuncture. I visited Laura's practice for the first time a month or so ago and already notice the difference. During my first visit, Laura asked me a ton of questions. I feel like most doctors focus on the one thing that brings you in, but Laura really took a holistic approach in trying to understand my general health. It's been refreshing to work with someone who seems to genuinely care about my well-being and who is invested in helping me -- even with random things that I otherwise would have not thought to mention at an acupuncture appointment. Outside of my hip and pectoral pain, I also experience chronic lethargy, joint stiffness and nasal congestion. I never considered my diet as a potential factor, but with Laura's guidance have cut out dairy. Turns out dairy is an inflammatory, which can lead to some of those smaller ailments I've been dealing with. I'm really happy that I gave acupuncture a shot. Generally, I feel a lot better and it's nice to have Laura as someone I can trust to consult me on my health. Her office plants have also inspired me to become a plant mom!

I committed myself to following all of his dietary and lifestyle changes about a year ago. Since then, my thyroid medication is properly regulated and it's dropped from 175mg to 117mg. I am currently pain free, and on no prescription medications for any of my autoimmune diseases. My hair is growing back and is the fullest it's ever been. My brain fog, anxiety and chronic fatigue have all been been drastically improved. I have since been able to fire my endocrinologist and rheumatologist. I've also lost 45lbs in less then a year, without very little effort. I couldn't disagree more with previous review left on yelp. Dr K cares so much for his patients and it really shows. Anything that i need, he is always there. I've never had a doctor who is so attentive. He actually listens to how i feel. I've texted and called his personal cell phone many times. The cost of the concierge program is minimal for the gift that he has given me: my health! My husband and I live over an hour away and Dr K is still always there for me when i need him. Newtown Internal Medicine is a life saver for anyone struggling to find proper care for autoimmune disease. Having such a great support system with Dr K and his team, holistic healing is possible. I am finally working to heal my own body, instead of just masking symptoms with pharmaceuticals.

I became…read morea patient of Dr. Val Koganski who operates a holistic practice, Newtown Internal Medicine located in Langhorne, PA. I paid $600 for my initial consultation with him which was no more than an hour. He then prescribed supplements totaling more than $375. The following week, I had a question regarding the pain management method that he prescribed. I phoned into his office, a receptionist picked up the phone. I told her "I have a question for the doctor" and she replied, "so you'd like to do a telehealth with the doctor". I replied, "no I would not, I simply have a question. Can you relay a message to him?" She places me in hold, and after a few seconds passed, the doctor picked up the phone. So we discussed the issue for about 3 or 4 minutes of telephone time. After a few weeks, I received a bill in the mail for $95. I called the office and stated, "I'm not sure why I am received a $95 bill", and the woman on the phone replied, "because you did a telehealth with the doctor". I replied, "I did not do a tele-health and quite frankly, I specifically declined a tele-health, but simply had a question for the doctor and was only on the phone maybe 3 or 4 minutes. Nobody told me that there was going to be a charge for asking a question over the phone." After calling me a few times on this in the ensuing weeks, they threatened to send this faulty charge to collections. I was outraged over how the doctor and his office staff handled this issue and felt it was a total injustice. Which leads to current day 3/8/2023. Low and behold, just about 3 years have passed, and just today I receive a phone call from a 'debt collector' and it is for this supposed $95 bill from Dr. Val Koganski of Newtown Internal Medicine. My first week or two of becoming his patient about 3 years ago, I paid the doctor almost $1,000 between consultation and supplements and then never actually received the treatment or care that I needed. No money was refunded to me and on top of that, they are still attempting to get $95 from me. A total outrage! Strongly recommend not attending this practice.
