The classrooms were all different, set up to serve different teachers and classes. Some classrooms still had chalkboards. The cafeteria worked great to serve as a student lounge and hold lunch. Classes began in September 1952, with first- and second-graders attend ingold Schaumburg Center School at Schaumburg and Roselle roads; third- and fourth-graders attending Sunderlage School on Higgins Road; fifth- through seventh-graders using an Elk Grove School District facility on a tuition basis, and eighth-graders attending a Palatine District 15 school on a tuition basis. If you are a minority, specifically a Black person, you and your child would not be treated like other races. Their rules are broken for "non-Blacks" but a Black person is expected to follow them at all times. You and your child would be made to feel uncomfortable and bringing the issue to the staff only makes you feel more ostracized. I have been strongly considering sending my daughter back to public school. They claim to be more advanced in their studies than a public school, but my daughter is reading a book that she read in Public School three years ago. I am so disappointed in myself for choosing this school. The way that I feel treated by them is not against the law, but I do feel that it is a moral issue. Is this really the Catholic faith?

The school had planned in advance to offer distance learning at the start of the school year, so that classes would not be canceled due to weather. The plan was executed at the start of the pandemic. The principal, Mrs. Mitchell, is a firm and fair principal that knows how to run a school well. She addresses any problems with any student and makes sure they are performing as they should at school. All the teachers are well trained, patient, and experienced. Mrs. Olsen (3rd Grade) has helped my son immensely with his academics as well as shaping him to be a great student! Mrs. Morawski and Mrs. Pozezinski (Kindergarten) have taught my daughter quite a bit and she is a much smarter girl because of it! The school is well maintained and they teach the Roman Catholic faith quite thoroughly as well.
