His room leads worked with him regularly on the exercises and activities recommended by his many, many therapists to help him make progress, which was over and above what I expected. I also appreciated the "extra" fun events (like pajama day) and curriculum-focused schedule. I feel like my younger kids learned new things every day, coming home singing songs and sharing artwork, activities and new information. We would definitely return! Unfortunately, there seems to be a high rate of teacher turnover this year, at least in the younger classrooms, which can be challenging for consistency and building relationships. The consistency of staffing and lack of turnover are truly unique and it is one of the primary factors that led us to AMT in the first place (and we have not been disappointed!). There will be many tears shed by multiple members of our family when our last child graduates and we move on from this phenomenal, nurturing, home-away-from-home that has been so instrumental in the development of who our children have become. We've sent all three of our kids to Busy Bees and couldn't be happier with that decision. The Montessori instruction fosters independence and confidence in kids. People are constantly amazed at the things my kids can do -- like putting on their coats, feeding themselves, their ability to focus on tasks, etc. -- at a young age. We currently work with Elda and Gisel in the Eggs classroom, and these two teachers and their aides could not be more devoted to the children they work with. They clearly love each child, and know them very, very well. I also appreciate Busy Bees' willingness to communicate and partner with parents. As much as Busy Bees has been instructive for my kids, I've also learned a lot from the Montessori method they employ and the caring, fantastic staff they hire. Luckily we did get a chance for someone to show us around. During the tour the only thing that I disliked was the amount of clutter in the cooking area and the bathrooms. The open space in the center was nice and the kids were really friendly. Service wise I think this site could do better accommodating family's with Teachers who only need some months of the year. This place would would rather lock you in for a full year. If you are in the Arlington Heights area and only need a few months out of the year don't waste your time here; your better of not wasting time and looking elsewhere. They always take the time to tell you about any concerns they have or to fill you in on your child's day. They genuinely care for the kids and the community. On our last day, there were tears cried by everyone and the teachers made cards for the kids. It was so touching and sweet to see how much they cared for our munchkins.

We LOVE St. Peter!…read more We were first introduced to St. Peter by a friend because they offered a preschool program that accepted 3 and 4 year olds which was exactly what we needed as our boys are a year apart. After some time, our daughter who was going to public school in Schaumburg asked if she could transition to St. Peter after seeing the wonderful teachers and welcoming culture they had (and she wanted to learn more about Jesus). After attending a day at St. Peter as a visiting student and giving her winter break to think about it, we decided as a family to move her over and we're so glad that we did. Not only did our daughter get to learn and build a relationship with Jesus Christ, but she also come out so much stronger academically than her friends at in public school. She is now entering her freshman year at high school and has multiple accelerated classes and is preparing to be a 3-sport athlete. On top of the academic preparedness, we have fallen in love with both the school and the church because of its close-knit community. Our family was recently displaced from our home and the amount of support that we've received from the staff and other families of the school has been unreal. If you want your kids to excel academically, grow up in a loving, supportive community and have a true relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, you need to check out St Peter School!

She's tenured and they cannot fire her. She repeatedly yells at my daughter and berates her. Today she saw my daughter showing another student a drawing, she snatched it out of her hand, crumpled it up and left her in tears until the end of the day. She intentionally humiliated her and left her in tears over showing her friend a drawing. I wish I could say this is all that happened but I've had other parents coming up to me questioning me why their own kids are telling them how mean she is to my daughter. DO NOT send your kid to fourth grade here. Mrs. Allor is her name and she should not be teaching children. My name is Jason Pierce. I love the rest of the staff here, from pre through 8th they have great teachers. I personally do not understand why this woman is working with children.
