His staff was very nice and they too expressed that if they needed the surgery they would trust him to take care of them. So surgery was last Friday at UF North and of course like most doctors things were running behind so I had to wait my turn. No big deal except for being hungry. When it was time for surgery the anesthesia doctors were very nice and explained everything. I had a nerve block and then some sleepy time meds and the next thing you know I was done and in recovery asking for some snacks and ginger ale. The recovery nurse was so nice, she said I have chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin granola bars and my response was YES! She started laughing. I won't go into the pain etc, you can go to YouTube and see all the whiners about that stuff. One thing for sure, all this velcro on this sling and sling fanny pack thing is itchy as hell and someone should come up with something to cover this crap. Not sure using pantyliners is outdoor acceptable, but kitchen towels are too heavy and scarfs are too hot. Velcro...my only complaint!

Great sense of humor and knowledgeable when it came to scheduling future appointments. My actual physical therapy was with Niki Kelley who spent a lot of time getting my history and how it related to my concerns. Niki was able to ask for details which helped in her assessment. The physical run through of bending stretching etc. gave her an idea of my negatives and positives. The exercises she ran me through were fully explained not only in how to do them but how and why they were helpful. Nikki gave me paperwork to show me how to do the exercises at home. I have appointments set up and look forward to returning.

I have been to 4 appointments now with him and will continue to go for the following reasons. To start I had two herniated discs that required emergent surgery to correct. The surgeries left my left foot's dorsiflex non operational, dorsiflex is the ability to lift your foot upwards, it's also known as drop foot. It left me in pain and tripping over my own lifeless foot. I was in constant pain and got tired of the side effects of having to take narcotics every single day. I had gone to almost a year of physical therapy, and core strengthening classes that helped but no where close to the level I needed. At the very first session I noticed an immediate change, please keep in mind that these results are atypical for someone suffering from the extreme nerve damage that I was going through. The change was a drop in pain level and a very slight regained feeling to my drop foot. Each session after that only showed more improvement as my nerves began to respond again. Admittedly it did hurt a little more as the nerves began to respond again, which is normal when you have to "reboot" the nerves again. I know that I have a lot more appointments needed to regain regularity, however with Wang Acupuncture I know that it is going to be a winning battle. Thank you very much for restoring hope into my life for some sense of normalcy, after two years of feeling pretty hopeless.

This office has a calm relaxed atmosphere; while other seem very tense. Although they did not take insurance at first they now take the major ones in the area; as well as Medicare. I have seen Dr. Samuel once -- for an earache when his wife was out of the office and he prescribed some medicine which did wonders. You will find me with them for a long time. A couple who have 5 boys; 6 to 16 must have endless patience.
