I came to this place as a walk in, to get my Chevy Impala '13 smogged back in July. The woman at the front was very friendly and got my appointment set up. I came back around the time she stated, and she took my car right in. The guys who smogged my car were fast. The whole process took less than 20 minutes and costed less than $70. Advance Automotive was very customer friendly, efficient, and accurate in the diagnosis of an issue we had with one of our trucks. We were driving my daughter back home from Las Vegas and her car broke down, I was referred to AA by a local Les Schwab and was so thankful they did! Go anywhere else! Terrible experience! For $60 I got a code reading not an actual Smog Test. The check engine light is on, automatically fails smog. They could have told me that. They could have said we cannot perform the smog test how about we do a diagnostic instead for X amount but that's not what happened. Instead at the exorbitant price of $60 they plugged the car into a code reader that basically guesses at what might be wrong. That's just theft! So, zero services rendered and the actual diagnostic is $60 more. So here I am $60 poorer and I don't even know what repairs my car needs. I will not be going back to Advanced Automotive for any services. Taking my business and money anywhere else. Other places charge $29.99 for the smog test. I should have gone to one of those. Thought the hefty price came with guaranteed better service. I was way off. read more

I was not too impressed with this shop. The staff is not personable and their automotive expertise is lacking. It appears that their main motivation is generating revenue for the shop, as opposed to providing good customer service. read more

"Advanced" Auto? Don't throw that word around unless you can back it up. I didn't want to leave a star on this review but yelp requires it. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. We were taken to the tune of $3700 and we still don't have a working car. Sent it to them the first time and they supposedly fixed the shocks, struts, rack and pinion steering and they were supposed to fix the clutch but we got it back and the clutch went soft on us. Then it got to the point where we couldn't even put it in gear. We call them up and drove it back, at this point we're at $3100. We get it back and it's supposedly fixed but a week later clutch starts going soft again until it stays on the floor and won't go into gear. They send a tow truck again to get it, they look at it and tell us it's gonna be an extra $500 because they have to replace the master cylinder (which I don't think they even replaced) and a master slave and we did it cuz we need a car. They sent it back and the clutch goes soft AGAIN. Then we decided to go with someone else. That person tells us that he thinks that we paid close to $600 for a $10 job and it still is not a running car. Bold right? We think they are a dishonest establishment and you should stay far away from them. read more

Today, I was coming home from work and all of a sudden, something is dragging under my car. I'm not familiar at all with the area I am in, so I asked Siri for an auto repair shop near my location. Advanced Automotive Smog came up first and I called them. Cassandra was so gracious, and actually walked out so she could help me find my way to their shop. I pulled in and explained my situation. Brent crawled under my car and cut out whatever was dragging and bagged it up for me. I got home safely, and am very appreciative of what they did for me. Outstanding auto repair facility. I don't do these reviews but in this case I did because I was so impressed and relieved to find them. Their Service writer, a gal named Cassandra, is extremely knowledgeable and has considerable formal trade/tech automotive training and previous experience. She is a delight to talk with and get you on the right track. If you're looking for a very professional automotive shop that is honest with great technicians this is the place. So glad we found them. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE ! the owner is a young punk who got the business left to him by his parents. He know's VERY LITTLE about customer service and his (so called smog tech) don't speak English, so he communicates to his boss by talking Spanish in front of you.(NOT COOL). I have been to this shop 3 times now for various repairs. Every time they have been extremely professional with a great turnaround time. On my last visit I dropped my truck off because it had a damaged wheel bearing and CV Axle on the passenger side. Not only did they fix it quickly, they came in well below the initial estimated price AND they replaced the bearing on the driver side while they were at it. read more
