After selling and moving, the new owners relied on a single employee who had been there for years for decisions rather than the trusted IA/other employees. Between racial, sexist, homophobic remarks from said vetted employee about clients and fellow employees and a constant hostile workplace things fell apart; lack of accountability, the stupid use of A.I from a separate employee. Said employee is there for "showmanship" he doesn't know a single thing about aviation trying to "implement" horribly unorganized processes (Through A.I) that were misquoting federal air regulations and proper maintenance procedures along with AD's and service bulletins. The owners are doing everything they can to try and save the place but putting trust in a friend who they hired to use A.I in a place of work where we have dedicated books / procedures at our disposal is really hurting the place. The final nail in the coffin is when the vetted employee who had said sexist racist remarks was telling other employees to stop "going by the book" and "look over x y and z being wrong" even though x y and z can get someone killed. I have the logs, dates and times of all conversations along with recordings. Since I'm quoting all of this, this isn't defamation, this isn't retaliation (because I quit) this is so the people taking their planes here can know this place is so horribly unorganized and with most of the vetted long standing employees quitting here soon it's falling to a lower quality and I wouldn't trust this place to safely and effectively work on your personal airplane. Especially when the use of A.I is being used to misquote regulations, work procedures and an employee telling others to ignore FAA guidelines / procedures to save a few dollars.

I got bids from all over the Midwest from Avionics shops big and small. I had one of the highest…read morerated shops in the country ignore my request for a quote for over 3 months and then email me to schedule work 5 months later. I had multiple shops give me quotes twice and three times as much as what Higginsville quoted me. I had one shop tell me that it would take 60hrs to install an engine monitor, while I got quoted 10hrs. What stood out to me, was how safety conscious the shop is. They painstakingly checked and double checked everything they did. Just because something looks like it worked, they weren't satisfied until they could prove that it worked, and when it didn't, they started over. They stand by their work. I have contacted them weekly asking for advice. Unlike some shops who forget you the minute your plane leaves their shop.

They are not invested in their students and their progress. Instructors are there just to build their own hours. There are frequent issues with planes being unavailable due to maintenance. When I complained a year ago they talked a good game but nothing really happened. They just kept taking our money without any real progress towards the private pilots license. We are taking our business elsewhere!
