Instead of gathering information, he launched into a lecture that had nothing to do with my eyes. He told me that diabetes would be affecting my heart and the rest of the blood vessels in my body, and then he started asking about my bones and joints. What do my bones and joints have to do with my eyes or my retina. Absolutely nothing. It was inappropriate, unprofessional, and completely unrelated to the reason I was there. If he had taken a moment to ask, he would have learned that I have lost over 100 pounds, that I work closely with my physician's office, and that I am fully committed to my health, my diet, and long term prevention. None of that mattered to him. He chose to assume, judge, and lecture instead of listening. He is, unfortunately, like many doctors who contribute to the problem instead of being part of a real solution or a reliable source of patient centered care. Patients deserve to be heard, not stereotyped. An eye appointment should be about my eyes, not a conversation filled with unrelated medical warnings and assumptions. Not good. I've been wearing glasses or contacts for more…read morethan 30 years. I experienced here was less than desirable. The doctor was very cold and almost argued with me about wanting contacts with progressive vision. He was adamant that I wouldn't be able to see right but I've been wearing progressive contacts for 15 years. He was very quick to put drops in my eyes without telling me what they were except to say that he could see my eyes better. Had I known and he was dilating my eyes I would've protested. You can't determine if a prescription possibility works if your eyes are dilated. He handed me to context in the dark exam room, said put them on and I'll be back in five minutes. It was extremely awkward, putting them on without proper lighting and a mirror that was at a decent level. He didn't come back for almost 20 minutes when I finally moseyed into the hallway and asked where he was, he was caught up on his computer on another case. He walked in almost upset that I disrupted him. Told me to go home, wearing them and to give them my glasses so that they could send them out with the new prescription. So I left with contacts in my eyes, I couldn't see, I didn't know if the prescription would work properly and I had to give up my glasses which I did willingly. Needless to say, I came home hunting for my readers after realizing I can't see worth a darn with these contacts in. I called the next morning to tell them the prescription was not appropriate for my vision and then I wanted my glasses back. She informed me that she already sent them out with the new prescription. How do you order a new prescription without knowing if it's the right prescription or not? I need to wait several days for my glasses to come back. I wrote/vented on Facebook on a public group. Before picking up my glasses when they came in a lady from the office called me wanting to talk about my post line by line. I told her that was inappropriate to come at me about a public post. After $500 later I picked up my glasses. And I was right they are not the correct prescription for my vision. Now I'm stuck going to a different eye doctor and paying out-of-pocket for my exam since I used my insurance with Springhill eye. I'll also have to come out of pocket for my glasses and contacts. I forgot to mention that when he sent me home with the context in my eyes, he never sent me home with the contact lens case or contact lens solution or anything. I'm not used to that as every eye doctor I've ever been to sets you up for success by providing those things. If I could save someone from going to this facility, I hope this posted that. They are a family run facility and said they've been in business for a very long time, but I don't see how given the customer service I received.

Went to have an appointment for the first time with my son. I spent over $100 with insurance for…read morejust for the visit it appears. I asked for the prescription and they said it wasn't set. We got another appointment but kept having to reschedule because I have a special needs child. When I tried to set another appointment to get the actual prescription I should have gotten on the first try, they said I owe a fee for the cancelled appointments AND I have to pay for another appointment where I may or may not get the prescription again. Don't go there, they make you pay extra one way or another. They make you wait at least 30 minutes after your appointment time. They shove another sales opportunity at you with the eye therapy... conveniently not covered by insurance.

My daughter and I have been going to Dr. Weber for the past two years, and every visit has been a great experience. Dr. Weber is very friendly, but what I appreciate most is that he takes his time to listen and answer all of our questions. You never feel rushed or like you're just another patient going through an assembly line. His two staff members are also incredibly kind, helpful, and welcoming. The atmosphere of the office is very personalized and relaxed. It doesn't feel commercialized, which is becoming harder and harder to find these days. As a self-pay patient, I also feel that his exam pricing is very fair. My only complaint isn't about Dr. Weber or his office at all--it's the outrageous cost of prescription glasses in general.
