I schedule regular maintenance appointments every few weeks, but every time I've needed to get in immediately (due to a fall or sleeping wrong, etc...), Dr. Chris and his team have ALWAYS welcomed me with open arms. From the staff at the front desk (shoutout to Sydney and Kim), to my absolute favorite warmup/rehab exercise dude (JOSH!!!), Atlanta Spine and Wellness is like the Cheers of chiropractic. Not only are they friendly, but they address all of my concerns with a clinical (and somehow personal) approach. Dr. Chris has helped my spine SO much. When I have questions, he breaks it down to explain as detailed or high level as I want. He has given me exercises to improve my posture, and countless product recommendations to improve my quality of life outside the office. They periodically host small holiday parties and giveaways (things like massages!!) with raffle tickets every time you come in for a visit. As for insurance, I'm not sure what other plans the office takes, but I use BCBS and my services are relatively affordable. Bonus points for Dr. Chris: he is also a metro Detroit native! Go blue!

He's brilliant, a true nerd about his craft, and just the most hilarious, charismatic, and thoughtful person. His practice even has a relaxing resting room you can use before and after your adjustments to mentally prepare for the amazing experience you're about to have. In 2022, I was diagnosed with relapse-remitting multiple sclerosis, and I was struggling with chronic pain, cramping, numbness, brain fog, and fatigue. I also have TMJ. I'd tried everything--medicine, acupuncture--but nothing was truly effective until I started seeing Dr. Kris. Since then, about 95% of my symptoms have been relieved. I'm so incredibly grateful for his care. This is by far the most effective way I've found to manage my MS symptoms. I will be a patient for life! I'd like to add that I just read his 1/2 star reviews and that's simply not true. The experience of having a chiropractor is that it takes time to see results and Dr. Kris explains this. He gives you a consultation with x rays before you commit to a large financial ask. We choose to trust that the medicine we take that we've never seen the science behind it at all. To be clear, I support taking medicine as needed but it's usually symptom treating. Dr. Kris promotes long lasting relief and actually says he doesn't want you to have to always come--that's the goal. The office offers stim therapy, piezo wave…read moretherapy, massage therapy, roller tables, decompression therapy, etc. First, the adjustment....Dr. Rita uses a drop table which I have found to be a much better and pleasant experience than chiropractors who do not use a drop table. It's less jarring and you don't feel violated by the Dr lol. The neck adjustment can also be done with the drop table which was a first for me. However, I find the manual manipulation of the neck provides better relief. Dr. Rita is very kind and personable. It's always a fun chat during the adjustments. Piezo Wave Therapy....Debbie administered this for my frozen shoulder and it was the weirdest sensation. It hurt for a super short period of time so she knew where to focus the machine. After one session my shoulder was feeling great. Debbie also works at the front desk for checkin/checkout and is super helpful. The Stim Therapy is usually done after the adjustment (you can do this or choose the roller table). This is basically just placing electrode pads on certain areas and providing stimulation to the area. AKA a TENS machine or EMS. I bought a TENS machine for use at home and find this really helps. Because I now own a TENS machine, the last few visits I have been opting for the roller bed. It appears the table can be set to either Cervical, Thoracic, or Lumbar focus and it's timed....I think 10 minutes? It provides an awesome stretch and massage all at the same time. The practice is great as a whole. The ladies that work the front are very friendly and helpful. You can usually get a next day and sometimes same day appointment if needed. I really like that you can either call or text the practice line and they are very quick in responding. I have never seen Dr. Perkins or Dr. Jones but have heard good things about them too in the office. The office is LGBTQ+ friendly. I would highly recommend Dr. Rita.

I was referred to Dr. LaScala by a friend. I was keeping a stiff upper lip as I was in excruciating pain and discomfort. We had just moved to Georgia. I didn't have any insurance. My husband was off to work with our only car at the time. I had never been in such a sorry state of affairs! So anyways, I called a cab and went to the chiro. It was my first visit. I was promptly taken in and Dr. LaScala walked in. The rest is all pleasant history. It took about 3-4 visits to tame the shrew inhabiting my body at the time. And, guess what? On the first visit, when I told the Doc that I had to call a cab to go home, ya know what he did? He got out his car keys and gave me a lift! Yes, sir. What a sweet doll. It made my pain so much more tolerable knowing that I was in caring and capable hands. I got my chicken husband to see the doc as well. Both of us became regular customers. My issues dissipated and I didn't need routine care. Doc didn't pressure me with mumbo-jumbo like other chiro's who have expensive lifestyles to support. My husband was in good hands for his more chronic back issues. Even after we moved to Sandy Springs, we still drove over to Conyers to see Dr. LaScala. Now, that's loyalty! And, that's one good doc! After some x-rays to determine my problem Dr. Serra began his treatment and THAT DAY was the first day without extreme pain I'd had in two years.
