First of all, the results have been amazing. Every time I see regrowth, there are fewer and fewer hairs. The process really works. I'm looking forward to having a totally hair-free upper lip! The standards of hygiene and cleanliness are obviously very high, and the office is a pleasant environment, with what seems to me to be very advanced equipment. They use a kind of magnifying scope thing so they can really focus in on each hair. The price is very reasonable. I had always assumed that electrolysis was very expensive, but that's not the case. They were able to tell me the price per session over the phone before I came for my initial assessment, and have been very upfront about how many sessions I'm likely to need as my treatment has progressed. As someone on a student budget, I really appreciate that. The electrologist I see, Caren, is unbelievably kind and friendly (she's so great, I actually look forward to my treatments!), and incredibly skilled. She gets every single hair, and even though I have a really low pain threshold, she manages to make the process as comfortable as possible. It's really not painful, it just stings a tiny bit. I would recommend Hairender to anyone and everyone who struggles with unwanted hair. I used to have to wax my upper lip really frequently, and I would have to pluck my regrowth literally every day, and even then, the new hairs would often be visible under the surface of my skin. I have been going to her for a while, I have moved out of Toronto to the USA and whenever I came for a visit I make a special trip just to see her. I am back in town and although I live by transit 1.5 hrs away I continue to travel to her. I do not wish to have anyone else touch me. I have tried others close to my current residence in Markham and I have regretted it. After recently moving to Guelph, I planned to continue supporting the company by ordering products online, as there is no storefront here. Unfortunately, my most recent online order was marked "delivered," but I never received it. The package was left unattended, and although a delivery photo was provided, I did not sign for or receive the parcel. When I contacted the company, they declined to reship or refund the order because the carrier marked it as delivered. My request to escalate the matter went unanswered. It's disappointing that a longtime customer was left to absorb the loss without any meaningful resolution. She gave me a small ( but enough) supply of products I supposed to apply after procedure and overnight/ next day/ 24-48 hours, for free. I ended up purchasing a facial water ( specially formulated for after-procedure care), and I like that I had a choice to purchase different sizes of thos facial water. I purchased small, because I wanted to try it first. Overall, I fell at all time, welcomed, valued and appreciated. I especially like the feeling of being appreciated as customer by my esthetically and desk personel as well. I'll definitely return for Microneedling and/ or other procedure. I've been going to her for braizilians for years because of the reasonable cost and her thoroughness. I can't recommend her enough. I discovered her from Groupon for laser hair removal and glad I did. I don't like laser as my skin is super sensitive, but with a few more sessions left I didn't want it to go to waste. During the sessions, she is patient and will adjust the intensity accordingly, always checking to make sure the skin is okay even if I'm feeling it more personally. While we were chatting, she mentioned the Brazilian promo and ever since then, I haven't gone anywhere else. Her spa is small and clean. Going to a clean spa is so important to me. A cheap Brazilian is great, but not if I can contract something from someone else. Her weekday promos are quite reasonable and worth the feew extra dollars. I've only gone by appointment and highly recommend making an appointment if you can so you don't get turned away if she's with a client.

They say you need an average of 6 treatments every 2 weeks and then once a month for up keep. The first aesthetician/student I got wasn't very informative and didn't talk much. The second time I went I got Casey, who let me tell you girl, is GRREAT. You know when you search forever to try and find a hairdresser who you vibe with and does a great job? That's Casey. She became my micro girl after my second treatment. She was very informative and down to earth. We get along so well and she always does a great job. I'm super sad she is graduating and I will have to find a new person to do my up-keeps once a month. However, I'm glad I got the majority of my treatments from her. Most people don't know, but the Humber spa is open to anyone. Their prices are AMAZING. Micro is only $60! Sometimes they go on special for $40! Can you find any other spa that offers these kinds of prices? I know some people might be skeptical because they are students, but these are students in their final semester ready to graduate. The info is fresh and they also have supervisors guiding and watching over them. The best thing is that the facility is CLEAN. You can guarantee that. That's something that's really important to me. TIP: If you find an aesthetician that you like, it's totally okay to re-book with them! They actually encourage that, so students know what it's like to get repeat clients. Also, there is no tip option on the machine when you pay. It's not expected, but if you do want to tip, it's cash only. One last tip, even though they only accept CASH TIPS. they ONLY take debit, credit or gift cards as a form of payment. Totally recommend everyone to try out the Humber Spa. You have to keep in mind that these are students so it takes a little longer than going to a regular spa, but it is cheaper too. Don't forget to tip, the students don't get paid for their work at the spa, so tipping is especially important. I will be back, I really enjoyed the procedures, and the same day service was a really nice touch.

I booked my first Brazilian sugar appointment through their online booking service in April 2019 at the RH location. Jasmyne was my aesthetician, she made me feel comfortable and walked me through the process of my service. I left not knowing what the results should look and feel like, but now that I've gotten a bunch of Brazilian sugars done (with another business), I can confirm that my experience with Sugar Me Spa was not great. I still had a lot of hair that hadn't been "pulled" out by the sugar, but I thought that's how Brazilian waxes were as it was my first time receiving one. It looked like I had shaved quickly and didn't bother to go over a second time to get all the remaining hairs. It didn't bother me as I trusted the process and was planning to book with Sugar Me Spa again once time came. Their online booking was extremely inaccurate in regards to the times and/or dates available for services. I booked my second appointment, only to be texted that the establishment was closed during the time slot I had chosen and I had reschedule. I wasn't able to reschedule, so I cancelled it instead. I booked another appointment 1 month later (with Jasmyne as I already dealt with her my first time around), through the same online system. I received another text a week before my appointment stating Jasmyne was not working during the date and time I had chosen. I was offered different dates and times to reschedule, however, time was too tight to reschedule. I asked if another aesthetician could provide the service, to no avail. I rescheduled my appointment 1 month later (with Jasmyne) in August 2019, only to be texted that Jasmyne couldn't make it to work and was asked to reschedule again... Overall, over a span of 4 months, I went once with mediocre results. Their appointment booking service is extremely hectic and inconsistent.
