Billing/cost issues, difference in quoted and billed charges. Dental work satisfactory.

If I could give this place a -0 star I would me and my mom has been patients at this place since 2015 honestly don't know how we stayed so long because the atmosphere is very cold and not welcoming it became worse recently. My mom has been having the same ongoing issue with the same crown coming off her crown popped off on July 6, 2023 she wasn't eating anything she was simply TALKING the rude desk staff called on July 10, 2023 for her to come in at 4pm I was hesitant on taking her back to this place because this is unacceptable he forced putting the same crown that clearly doesn't fit as a temporary the same day her face was swollen He didn't numb her when drilling her tooth. He also nicked her tongue with the drill it is now Sunday morning July 16, 2023 and her tongue is still in pain. We are never returning back and I honestly hope he doesn't see another patient again that explains all of the cancellations and open appointments he has. Oh and at my last cleaning he didn't even have the decency to come look at my teeth afterwards. Please please please go elsewhere to a dentist that cares about their patients. UPDATE: 7/20/2023 my mother received a rude voicemail from the unprofessional desk staff stating that it is normal for the dentist to not numb patients before drilling which is insane she is still in pain to this day she was not caring at all about the situation and stated that she will remove us from the schedule which is fine because I never enjoyed having someone in my mouth that is not groomed and looks like he just rolled out of bed. My suggestion would be that you put the time and effort that you spend getting new fancy equipment and at least look presentable at work. Also, I think it's pathetic that you left yourself a review to outweigh your bad review which makes me question the other 400 5 star reviews is it you Steven your staff or bots leaving reviews for you? To cover up your BOTCHED work. So sad I pray my mom gets into the right care soon and I will research future methods on how to address this situation. AGAIN do not go to this "dentist" Oh and I have a friend that let him do a crown for him that cracked a while ago just from him eating a French fry he tried to get this corrected and careless Steven stated that he need to pay him $500 for him to correct everything he still has not got his crown replaced CLOSE DOWN!!!!!! read more

For starters, Zebulon Dental Center is in a great location with plenty of parking.The lobby is tastefully decorated and the treatment rooms are non intimidating. It was easy to get an appointment and his office sends out text reminders. Dr. Golubow and his staff are friendly, personable, knowledgeable and extremely professional. My first visit was for a teeth cleaning. I was greeted by Allyson my Hygienist. She ask me if I was cold which I was and she gave me a blanket. I watched TV and we chatted while she worked. She is lovely. upon checking out, Shuantale informed me of my financial options. The next visit was for a Root Canal. His assistant held my hand throughout the procedure and made sure I was comfortable. The Crown was completed in the office the same day. Dr. Golubow and his staff are all perfectionist and the crown was perfect! Later that day, I received a message from Dr. Golubow checking in with me to see if I was ok. Wow, talk about impressive! That was over the top! I can tell that the whole staff genuinely love their jobs and love where they work. I would definitely recommend Zebulon Dental to anyone. read more

Nobody likes to go to the dentist, but I went to see Dr. Steven Golubow at Zebulon Dental Center to get a second opinion on some dental work that another local dentist quoted me $900 to do. As it turns out, what I really needed turned out to be something entirely different--and about $700 cheaper. Dr. Golubow could have easily said the same thing as the first dentist--that the crown needed replacing--but he didn't. He was honest. During my visit, he noticed that I had some dry mouth issues and was concerned about the long-term consequences for my teeth. I don't take any medication, but I do take herbal supplements. He asked me to email him the list of herbal supplements so that he could figure out which ones needed to be eliminated. He emailed back and forth with me until we found the problem. There was no added charge for this. It was done on his own time simply because he was genuinely concerned about my teeth My wife went to see Dr. Golubow a few weeks later for an extraction. He made sure her pain was well-managed after the extraction, but the pain was minimal. He did a good job. I know his father works at the same practice as is also named Dr. Golubow so if you're looking to select a dentist based on the reviews, make sure to see the son. Dr. Golubow's father may be just as great a dentist, but I have no experience with him to make that call. Don't be fooled by how young this guy looks, he may be fresh out of school for all I know, but he's the best dentist my family's ever had. read more

I needed to see a dentist right away and they didn't have anything available for a couple of days. But when they had a cancelation, they contacted me ASAP and got me in the next day. The staff was outstanding and explained everything that was going to happen so that there were no surprises. The dentist has great bed side manner and explained my options before starting. The quote they gave me for the procedure was almost half of what I ended up paying. (big deal when you don't have dental insurance). Best part is their office called me the next day to check on me and to see if i had any questions or concerns. I will now make them my permanent dental clinic and will be seeing them for cleanings/checkups. read more

STAY AWAY!!! I never write bad/good reviews on an organization but my experience here was the worst! I had an issue with Shauntale at the front desk. She has a smart mouth, nasty attitude and condescending attitude. I attempted to reconcile my billing and Dr. Steve instructed Shauntale to contact law enforcement. I asked why and he stated he didn't owe me an explanation an no longer wanted to see us as patients. All we requested was an explanation of the figures Shauntale "magically" came up with and this is how we were treated. Shauntale isn't fluent when it comes to dual coverage in insurance and it shows. I would have respected her more if she admitted she wasn't sure what the liability would have been and let the insurance companies determine liability. Shauntale speculates the liability causing patients to overpay and it's like pulling teeth trying to get a refund. After this incident and 4 months of waiting a check was finally cut for a refund for an overpayment due to Shauntale miscalculations. I also requested dental records and was given a 2 page statement as 5 years of dental records! read more

I LOVE the staff and Dr. Steven Golubow. I actually chose this office because of my dental insurance but will stay with them even if my insurance changes. The office is beautiful and the staff and Dr. are extremely friendly and personable. I highly recommend their office! read more
