Dr Daniel Barton was calm, very very clear and articulate to explain every detail of the xrays and what was going on . I did not need a root canal but now need to go to a Periodontist. Bone loss around the lower of one front tooth. Not totally relieve but the experience could not have been any better. The whole office was calm and the experience was 10/10. Let me clarify that this endodontist (Dr. Kelly Walker) nor anyone at this location performed the original root canal. So this specialist was needed to correct a problem that occurred with the original root canal. The experience here was wonderful. Before she started anything, we discussed the anxiety that could occur because of this procedure. She was glad that I disclosed this issue because it changed her procedure just a little. She offered to take short breaks during the procedure, if necessary. I can't believe that there was no pain at all because she numbed me so very well and she was not rough during the procedure. I only felt slight pressure during the entire process (drilling thru the crown, scraping out the infected pulp and cleaning up). Even as the drugs began to wear off, the pain was not excruciating. I recommend this endodontist wholeheartedly.

Everyone there, except for Dr. Carmen, was understanding of my condition and was patient with me. This place could be a great place to have work done. Maybe I was just unlucky and caught Dr. Carmen on a bad day. Maybe give this place a chance. Dr Cook was my forth and hands down second to none the best Doctor I have ever been to. From the cleanliness of his office, the receptionist and the dental technician that assisted him, you will not find any better in the Kyana area. Dr Cook's chair side manner puts you at ease. The root canal was completely painless. Next day there was zero discomfort. Dr Cook is a Navy Veteran and honorably served his country for 12+ years. I'm a retired Coast Guard veteran. I'm updating my review I wrote in 2013. Back then I was treated by this Endodontist for a root…read morecanal that had developed an abscess at the end of the root. Through surgery Dr. Cook removed the abscess and all was well. This summer I started developing a tooth ache over the same tooth every time my sinuses acted up. On Labor Day weekend I was in agony. Come Tuesday morning the pain was completely gone. At my hygienist appointment in late September the hygienist took extra x-rays and did a thorough exam. She and the dentist that was at the practice that day decided there was no dental problem and that it must be my sinuses. In the beginning of December I once again was experiencing an excruciating tooth ache. My dentist, Dr. Renshaw, worked me in immediately. Sure enough the x-rays that day indicated I had an abscess above the root canal again. He prescribed antibiotics and made a referral to Dr. Cook. After our holiday vacation I had my appointment with Dr Cook. Dr. Cook is an excellent Endodontist and quite honest too. I said I was no longer having the toothache and he said that was because the abscess was draining. Upon examination and x-rays taken that day he indicated that his 30 years of experience tells him that redoing the root canal via surgery would not cure the problem. Although there was still a small amount of abscess the true problem was a crack in the root. Unfortunately, the cure is to have the tooth pulled and have my existing bridge redone. So I'm back to Dr. Renshaw to get a treatment plan. Thank you Dr. Cook for being honest about the true situation. 2023/ #11

In terms of scheduling, they were extremely fast and I was in for a consult the day after I called. I needed a root canal done, and am a bit of a nervous person when it comes to dental work. I felt totally comfortable after reassurances from the team. As for the procedure, I just rocked out to music on my headphones while Dr. Norton did the work, and I felt pretty good. Absolutely no pain - Dr. Norton made sure of that, and he explained everything in ways that made it easy for me to follow. Hoping I don't need to go back for any work, but if I need to, I'll most surely head to his office.

Neither (front) teeth should produce this type of general pain and tingling sensation (teeeth, palate, upper lip, nose). Having a sensitivity to pain does NOTsystematically signify a root issue needing a root canal; some people are simply a lot more sensitive to cold than others. Additionally, there is NO need to subject the patient to an intense cold (moderate cold is enough for symptomatology and diagnostic).
