Very good experience here for a quick removal. The front desk was helpful with paperwork and wanted to ensure they had my insurance just in case. The paperwork was easy to read, straight forward, and didn't feel excessive. I was very nervous for the procedure but Dr. Adam and Tina were incredibly kind to me. Dr. Adam is the kind of person who is so nice that you aren't really sure what to do because almost nobody is that kind or warm to patients. You could tell me that man kicks puppies in his spare time and I don't think I'd believe you even if I wanted to. He seems very happy with his career choice and to help others. It was appreciated as a scared patient. I can't recommend enough that patients book with him specifically. My partner told me how kind he was to her and that she had a great experience as well. I got both a shave removal and a small spot frozen with liquid nitrogen. Both didn't feel great, but they tried to be honest with me about the sensations and it wound up being not nearly as bad as I had built it up to be over the years. My only issue is that I didn't come sooner. If you want to do multiple things at an appointment, be up front with the assistant about it. You may need to book separate ones depending on the issues, but Tina was able to squeeze in a second for the doctor to handle a second small problem spot for me at my appointment. It was nice of her to do so, as she explained that sometimes things have to be billed separately for insurance purposes or for the sake of their time to see as many patients as they can. Billing was explained to me well by Candice, so I also appreciated the front desk and the ease of everything there, as well. I'm happily surprised everything felt seamless and easy. Ok so I've been here a few times. Moles checked and removed by Dr Adam. He is so sweet. I also went for Botox wasn't pleased with the results and had to go back and get more and still wasn't pleased with the results. But Dr Adam was great for my moles. Ask for him if you go here. read more

Found Dr. Kim under my insurance list of providers, booked over the phone for an appointment to make sure they took my insurance, uploaded insurance info when they sent a link to fill up my new patient docs in advance. Got to the appointment, but was then told by the front staff that they didn't take my insurance plan. I was quoted anywhere between $75-300 out-of-pocket depending on what ends up happening with consultation/procedures. Really disappointed that I had to take time off work to only be told at the appointment itself that they couldn't take my insurance. I thought I did my part right by calling and asking directly and by uploading the information, I'm not sure how this got missed. I asked if I would be charged a cancellation fee if I didn't proceed with the appointment, and I was assured I would not so I didn't. So there's that at least. read more

If you are looking for a doctor to take time to understand the purpose of your visit, ask questions to understand your issue to best diagnose and treat your condition I DO NOT recommend Dr. Kim. She issued immediate opinions without any attempt to understand my individual condition. I had to stop her twice, as she tried to run out the door, to ask follow up questions. I felt that she was only interested in writing a prescription and getting to the next appointment. Zero empathy and zero attempt to convey any type of caring to create a positive outcome. Would give a ZERO if possible, worse medical experience of my life. Went to have my skin looked at, had moles, acne and other issues I wanted checked. Get into room, woman asks me what I'm in for, I go off listing everything for a couple minutes, then see her just staring at me oddly, so I stop, abruptly and just wait. Super awkward, she then tells me, we only do 'skin check' or 'acne check'. OK, would of been nice to know that before I told you all my issues, this isn't Starbucks, I have no idea how you conduct business at this facility, why have me rant on for minutes if you only do two things... She then asked which I wanted to see the 'doctor' for, told her skin check, to look at the moles I was concerned about. You strip down, they give you a 'paper sheet', not even a gown to PUT ON if you want, super akward, it's like a paper baby blanket. So there you are, in your underwear with this paper blanket tucked under your arms waiting for the doctor. They come in, the PA not the doctor and the first assistant. The PA looks at my skin, then she stands back and starts to do the ACUTAINE REHEARSAL PITCH to me. I thought this was a SKIN CHECK not Acne... 10 minutes later when done, I ask about my moles, she says not cancerous. ask about removal, pricing, she goes through the list, I take down prices. Then I ask about my face, I have flaky skin on my nose, ears. She says, " I CAN'T TELL YOU WHAT THAT IS, OUR TIME IS UP, YOU'LL HAVE TO BOOK ANOTHER APPOINTMENT TO HAVE THAT LOOKED AT." Ok, so what appointment? She won't tell me. I'm getting mad at this point. I just tell them, ok, fine, thank you, she just leaves, doesn't say anything. The MA then just stands there, I get up and put on my clothes, not even told I can get dressed. She then is just standing there, I am pissed at this point, I have no information about anything, all they want to do is sell me acutaine, I don't even know how to book an appointment for my face, etc. Got pissed, told them I just want to pay, paid and left. If that's how you like to be treated, like an annoying customer, then go right ahead and take a visit to POS LAND. She told me for my eye skin tags to see an EYE DOCTOR? Isn't that plastics? Which I thought they did? These people are scum, if you want real HEALTH 'CARE' look elsewhere, they are an ACUTANE RESELLER, felt like I was examined, told to make more appointments but not told what appointments, got zero information on any skincare, my arms where super dry, wasn't even told to use lotion, NOTHING about skincare. Go elsewhere if you want actual care, if you need ACUTANE SCRIPTS, come here, that's all they know, is how to try to sell you on Acutaine. And they said no issues, that stuff can DESTROY your liver, kidneys, tons of issues, SCREW THIS PLACE, not worth your time. While Adam is great and makes every visit seem like he cares about my concerns, the rest of the staff needs work on customer service. Half the staff seem like they don't want to be there while the others don't seem to know what they're doing. I was scheduled to see Angel instead of Adam as it worked with my schedule but not once I saw her. I don't even know what she looks like. She sent in her MA who was also not very friendly and kept rushing me during my visit. Additionally, your checkout rep tried to charge me $300 for a procedure that was covered by my insurance. I paid half and when I went back, she tried to charge me $423.00. I proceeded to tell her that I spoke with my insurance company and was informed of my benefits therefore they had to refund me of the $150 I paid prior. She looked at her screen and said," oh it does say your balance is $0.00. It looks like it didn't update until now." I don't believe this one bit. She gave me a number to call for billing. I called and was informed that instead of being refunded your office decided to convert my payment as a "credit" towards future services. The billing rep then informed me that she cannot give me a refund and had to transfer me to another department to request for a check. I was on hold for 45minutes, then someone picked up, I heard people in the background, then a click. I was hung up on. I called back and received an automated response saying the department was closed. I left a voicemail on Friday and it is now Wednesday and still no response. Worst clinic I've been to. By the way, we moved recently out of state so we drove back 6 hours for this visit. Very disappointing. read more

Avoid this dermatology office at all costs. I visited as a new patient at the beginning of January and was immediately given a bad impression when the rude receptionist told me that I would be charged an additional fee for using my credit card. This shocked me because the economy is so credit based and people don't carry cash like they used to ten or twenty years ago. Sadly, my experience got worse from there. The doctor prescribed me a medication that was sent to the pharmacy that I told the medical assistant I would like it sent to. When I went to my pharmacy I was told that it required pre-authorization and the pharmacist had sent several messages to Advanced Dermatology, but got NO RESPONSE. I then called and left numerous messages only to get a callback a week later. I spoke with the Office Manager who told me she would look into and call me back in a couple hours. Over 24 hours later, the Office Manager called me back to say they sent the medication to "Apotheco" which is an off-brand apothecary that I have never done businesses with and did not request. The Office Manager told me that Apotheco Care can provide a generic brand. When I told her that my pharmacist also carries the generic brand, and asked why no one from their office ever called or returned their numerous calls, she fell deafly silent. I'm not sure if Advanced Dermatology is running some sort of illegal scam or getting kickbacks from Apotheco when they unethically pressure customers to do business a pharmacy other than the pharmacy patients specifically request. In any case the whole thing is very shady and extremely unprofessional! SHAME on all of you at Advanced Dermatology. read more

VETERANS AVOID Advanced Dermatology!! Zero rating if possible! Dr Adam is great. However, the front office staff don't know how to do their jobs properly and will leave you holding a $1800 bill even with insurance!!! My wife had 3 moles removed and sent to labs for screening over a year period. 2 went to Quest, who is the correct lab for her insurance. The third sample went to Clinical Pathology Labs (CPL) who is not covered by her insurance. CPL then sent us a $1800 bill when her insurance refused to pay. The Advanced Dermatology front office staff, Managers, and the corporate office refuses to take ownership of their mistake and after 2 years are leaving us to pay CPL $1800. They claim that you sign a waiver that you could be charged for outside services. This may be true, but without informing the patient that they WILL BE sending it out to a lab your insurance will not cover, and asking permission first, they are complicit. A patient has no idea what happens with their sample after it is taken without Adv. Derm. informing them. Please pass on to all fellow Vets who may use Advanced Dermatology for Community Care services to avoid a company that refuses to provide proper customer care and is willing to leave a veteran family holding a $1800 bill. I will be contacting VA Community Care to warn them to not place their consults with this company. I have went to Dr Grace Dowty for about 2 years now and I absolutely love her! She is kind, professional and thorough! She has given me great guidance with everything from my 9 year old twins' skin marks, to my daughter's acne, to my own sun damaged skin! She's knowledgeable on all fronts. She's also gorgeous so I trust her aesthetic touch as well. I've always been skeptical about fillers. But I trusted her and she gave me the best, most natural lip filler ever! Beware of this place Seniors., handicap & Veterans : today, April 24 on Thursday at approximately 2:30 PM. I went for my 3 o'clock appointment to dermatologist went to the front desk. Young lady gave me a paper to fill out couple things to sign. I told her I'm visually impaired she said it still had to be filled out so I filled it out. Then she hand me an iPad and tells me questions again I tell her I'm visually impaired. It's hard for me to fill it out the screen was dark. She said it has to be filled out, so I sat down and attempted to do it although I had done online prior to my appointment answered all the questions and everything. She stated this is more that I had to do so as I attempted to do it as I was there by myself, after doing it struggling through it, I finally came to the point. I went back up to the desk listen I told you I'm visually impaired. How much more do I have to do? She says all of this and I noticed a lot of questions about my past my healthcare lot a lot of different tabs. I said I can't do this. I've already told you three times that I'm visually impaired and I can't do this so I started to leave. She goes well. You have to do it before I take you back or else I can't take you back. I said well I can't fill it out at that time as I'm walking out the door. She states to me I can help you. I said well why couldn't you say that the last three times when I had asked you for told you that was visually impaired and I need to help she said nothing so I walked out and before I left I told her I said you know what I said this place I can see when they have three stars, but I would've gave them one which I am doing at this time please seniors and veterans and those are handicap. Individuals like myself stay away from this place this place unbelievable the girls are sitting there laughing behind the desk. There was four of them there one gentleman and three ladies not one offered to help me at any time until I was walking out. They're laughing making a lot of noise and talking loud very unprofessional place. This is one of the worst, most unprofessional office staff I have come across. They will blame it on "past" incompetent staff for not notating things, or sending over scripts but then make the same mistakes! They will lie and say you were swearing at them when you did not. They will not take any accountability. I was promised a call from the district manager, that the calls I wanted reviewed would be sent to the district manager, and I'd get a call by EOD, I did not. The staff is friendly and the office has a positive atmosphere. If you have a physical condition, they are there to help. Adam is very attentive and gets right down to business. He helps the patient understand what needs to be done. Leslie makes you feel comfortable and greets you with compassion. I made an appointment with advanced dermatology for a consult. At the time of setting the appointment, I was advised that the consult would cost $50 and it would be applied towards any procedure. When the 5 minute consultation was complete, I was charged $75 plus 3% for using a credit card. I was then informed that $75 would not be applied to any procedure. After many of calls to the supervisor, Gabriella, she advised me that she would contact me with some resolution because of Advanced Dermatology's deceit. I have not heard from her. I called to inquire about the removal of 2 stitches on my face, received from my my California dermatologist removing a small mole. I was in Vegas and purely needed the stitches removed. I confirmed I would pay out of pocket as my insurance wouldn't cover the expense being out of state and confirmed the monetary amount for the procedure and made an appointment. I get there for my appointment, fill out all of the required paperwork and I am taken back into a room. Then I'm told they are unable to perform the removal of stitches since they were not the ones who performed the removal of the mole and it would be a liability since they were not providing any aftercare. I don't need any aftercare, I simply needed the removal of 2 tiny stitches on my face, for which I confirmed and made an appointment. It was extremely disappointing and a waste of my time. I had to call an urgent care which said they couldn't remove the stitches until more days had passed, against my dermatologists recommendation, so I had I go to the ER and the doctor struggled to remove the tiny stitches and said they were in a day too long. I called and confirmed I could have this treatment at this facility due to their expertise in facial treatments and cosmetic surgery, removal of 2 small facial sutures is a simple task for this establishment which did not uphold to their agreement of services. read more

Waking up one morning, I suddenly wanted to see a dermatologist to look at an itchy spot I had had for couple months. (eww I know!) I called ADCS at 8am to make an appointment. All the doctors were booked, and they asked if I wanted to see a physician assistant instead. I agreed, and got to see PA Brittny Call at 9am that same day. Waiting lounge is spacious with many chairs, 2 TVs, and a coffee bar. I came 30' early to fill out paperwork. I was brought in the exam room at my appointment time, and the PA was in shortly after. Well... where do I start. I don't think spending hours before being seen and paying over $200 is a how I imagined my visit would be. I went in for a dermatology consultation with Dr.Grace Kim October 13th 2022 at 7:30am not only did I have to wait 2 hours in the consultation room before the Dr. came in, she kid you not was in the room for 3 minutes barely even looked at me. told her assistant what medication she'd put me in and left. Ever since then I've been getting harassed with messages for "owing" $20 but when I log in to see what the bill is for it says for " Medical services from Dr. Grace Kim" as if I didn't already pay over $200 the day of. In person for !3 minutes! I was able to schedule an appointment with Adam Harkieweicz very quickly for a suspicious looking mole. We did the biopsy and determined that it could potentially cause problems in the future, so it was excised. The nurses, front desk, and Adam are super friendly, professional, and take great care and pride in what they do. I was nervous at first, but I was able to have any questions answered, and was provided with before and aftercare instructions for the procedure so that I was well-prepared for it.
