I recommend Dr Kory but .... I needed an emergency appointment & he was not in the office so I saw Dr C Bhakta whom I do not recommend I came here for help. I felt judged as soon as the assistant put me in the room I was left for 20 mins naked in a paper gown with their thermostat being set on 68 degrees which is unacceptable for I was sick & Im in my 50s Dr Kory has never left me hanging like this Once Dr Bhakta & her assistant came Into the room together the assistant had a smirk on her face the entire time but I didn't say anything bc once again I was there for help & looked over the smirking What bothers me the most is Dr Bhakta did not listen to what I was telling her & she went to prescribe some medication that did not work bc it was the wrong medication causing me to suffer for whole week I did reach out to management but we keep missing each others calls (Im not blaming management here) & I truly have nothing bad to say about Dr Kory bc again he is really a good Dr but now I do not feel comfortable coming back to this office Everyone has been professional & kind to me up until this particular visit & it's unfortunate that 2 bad apples ruin the bunch here Its almost like the assistant & Dr Bhakta had already judged me & assumed before entering my room 1 star for the receptionist on this day The receptionist is always kind read more

Most recent poster is correct. Front desk is indeed rude. This place used to be great, but they got too big and disorganized since they moved. You WILL wait for 45-60 minutes past your appointment time. Ironically, you will get reminder texts every day the week before the appointment threatening a $25 fee if you miss the appointment. (You get nothing when they waste your time, though.) They will not care, and you will NOT get a response to your phone inquiries at all. It's a shame. They used to be good. read more

Now I remember why I stopped going to this dermatologist practice. Appointment scheduled, show up 15 minutes in advanced to make sure all paperwork filled out. Waited 45 minutes from the start of the appointment. Waiting 30 minutes in the treatment room... still waiting... Seriously. This is ridiculous. I need to find another dermatologist office. Do NOT go here. The doctor Toni Smith misrepresent my diagnosis as cosmetic issue even though it was actually a symptom of a more serious issue. The office used the wrong coding for my labs and slapped me with a bill of over 1,000 in addition to an extra bill of over $200 just for my appointment. When I tried to dispute it the office refused to work with me. This is the reason why many people have such distrust for doctors and refuse to see one until it's too late. I had been seeing Toni for a little over a year to get my prescription retin-A. Every time I went, I always felt that Toni and her staffs were trying to sell me some over the counter moisturizers/skincare. I ended up buying SkinMedica TNS serum that costed me a whopping $380 because Toni highly recommended it. It gave me cystic acne after 2 weeks of using it and she told me to stop applying it on my skin. Then when the new "improved" version of the serum came out, she also recommended me to buy it. Of course, I didn't fall for that scam any longer. Plus, every time I needed a refill for my 0.045 RetinA, I have to see her which costs me over $100. When I first saw her, she told me that I only need to see her once a year once my skin is acclimated to the RetinA...which it has been! I basically lose my trust in her and her practice! I no longer want to spend another penny at this office! I am now seeing another dermatologist, an actual doctor, and I couldn't be happier. read more

The yearly dermatology examination done by Dr. Marzuka was the shortest and most cursory I have ever had in the past 15 years. He also shaved off a wart and bandaged the area. By the time I got to my car I was bleeding through the bandage (and all over my shirt) and had to return to have a nurse bandage it properly. When I contacted the practice about this, I was given two options: see him again (why would I?), or see Dr. Duncan who has an excellent reputation. If I did that, however, and she didn't find anything significant, I would be charged for an office visit. I felt insulted that they did not want to make sure I was comfortable with my exam. I didn't have a great experience here. I googled PRP, knew what I wanted, reached out to schedule and took time off of work. They charged me for a "consultation" even though I knew what I wanted and requested as much. The second trip, they called an HOUR ahead of my appointment, cancelling, saying they didn't have some part. So far I have been pleased with how I have been treated at Advanced Dermatology. When ny primary care physician expressed concern about a spot on my face, I was able to get an appointment with Dr. Duncan quickly. When the biopsy came back positive, they got me a timely appointment with a surgeon and I have gotten excellent care from the Sugar Land team. They have always taken the time to answer my questions and to be sure I understand and follow instructions. The staff has also been helpful and efficient regarding billing and insurance. When I contacted them today about a similar spot, they said there were no openings for several weeks, but when I expressed concern about how fast it is developing they gave me an appointment in a few days. This means I may be the reason for a double-booking. A family member who has had life-threatening health issues always reminds us that we'd rather be the person who has to wait than the emergency patient who is making the doctor late. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I called 2 wks in advance for my next app. AFTER a receptionist thoroughly checked that my insurance was in network BEFORE she scheduled my appointment. However, upon arrival, I was told that they had tried to reach me multiple times to inform me that my insurance was actually not in network but they called the wrong number. In other words, they didn't even have my correct number on file to reach me and was too lazy to reach out alternatively by email. Therefore, I didn't receive ANY of the calls and I wasn't able to see a Dr. Like I was supposed to. The other option they suggested was pay out of pocket $200+ just for the visit. The receptionists lack professionalism and were really unfriendly upon walk in as they didn't even greet me. As a result I will never return and I wish nobody else considers this practice. read more

I had no problems with my most recent visit. Their staff is awesome. Great hospitality here. Rooms were very clean and I felt safe being there. Although, I didn't like how the woman with blonde streaked hair at the front desk treated me. She had a horrible attitude with me and I really disliked the way she spoke to me. I have had 2 appointments with Dr. Duncan. Each appointment was short, sweet,and to the point. Which I DO like. I didn't feel rushed Dr. Duncan listened to my concerns and offered flexible options. I have also seen Dr. Harrell. I called on Monday morning and needed to get in ASAP. Dr. Harrell was able to see me that same morning. Addressed my issue and I was out the door. On each of my 3 visits the wait was minimal. I sat in the waiting room maybe 10 minutes and in the patient room maybe waited 3-5 minutes. All my appts have been mid morning. I also did consult with Kristy,an aesthetician, I found her to be very knowledgeable and friendly. She answered my questions and followed up with me on some pricing. Felt rushed by Dermatologist and staff. He did not break down medical terms to me. Left confused about skin condition but left with 4/5 prescriptions. Had a coolsculpting appointment following my dermatology appointment. Instead of having my consultation, I was walked to the front desk to pay my copay and set up a follow up appointment. I was on Dupixent,but I had several side effects.I tried to reach out to the doctor ,but she never responded back and had to reach out to another doctor in the practice .He only spent 3 minutes and collected almost $250.00. Another problem ;I have is I paid for an office visit with my debit card about 6 months ago.Yesterday the billing office without permission tried to use my card on file to collect $18.00 I didn't authorize them to keep the card on file .I am appalled by this practice.I contacted the company about this practice,but the billing manager never returned my call.I will not return to that location. read more

I have been a patient of Dr Toni Smiths for a very long time. I had a really bad case of psoriasis and was beginning to be embarrassed of the way it made me look. After seeing Dr Toni, and many failed attempts, she was able to find the right medicine for me. I have almost completely been cleared of any psoriasis spots on my entire body now for 7 years. Beware of what others stated in horrible scheduling practices. I was alerted the day prior to my son's appointment that it was cancelled when I had already confirmed twice and filled out all online paperwork. I was so excited to get him into a slot that the scheduler said had been a recent cancellation, to find out today that was untrue. No accommodation from the staff, even with their admission that the doctor is still in the office that day. I work in healthcare and we would have NEVER done that to a patient who was not responsible for the error - we would have made it work and accommodated the care of a CHILD because that's the right thing to do. I only write reviews for the really good or really bad... This place has turned out to be the latter unfortunately. My daughter was prescribed Accutane several months ago. With Accutane, lab blood tests are required to make sure levels are okay and proof of negative pregnancy test. Every month you have to repeat this process. Also, an Iplege questionaire must be completed online, and confirmed by your doc before prescriptions can be sent to the pharmacy. Every month, it has turned out to be a cluster with this place along with their pharmacy that they use, Webster pharmacy. Either the doc fails to confirm the ipledge because he's too busy and forgets, or the prescription isn't sent quickly, or they write prescriptions that the insurance company will not approve and then things have to be repeated. If they don't cross all of their T's within 7 days, you have to provide proof of ANOTHER negative pregnancy test. Something has gone wrong every single month, and every single month they say it should be okay next month. Either the problem is with them or their pharmacy, but they fail to take responsibility. My daughter is so tired of the hassle every month, she is ready to quit Accutane-but she really needs it. This Dermatologist needs to get their act together!! Not professional!! The only thing that you can count on is that the WILL do something wrong. read more

She takes the time to consult with me about what will produce the best results and still stay within my budget. She told me my insurance number was wrong (I called back and confirmed that it was, in fact, correct) and literally exhaled about 5 times with every question I posed. Ooooh-kkkkkk... If I were a concerned physician, I would literally ensure that all my front office/scheduling staff were TOP NOTCH to make the first point of contact an amazing one! I had an appointment here on Wednesday, 6/19/2019 to have a mole checked. They were VERY busy and I waited 45 minutes to see doctor. But, two major concerns...I filled out a lot of paperwork beforehand explaining my reason for visit, when I noticed mole, family history, etc..When I saw the doctor she asked all those questions. Had she looked at my chart? Second, my visit with the doctor was rushed. She asked what my concern was. I said that I wanted moles checked. She said that it was only one mole that was the concern. She barely looked at my back and told me it was not a concern. That was it-less than 3 minutes and she was gone. She was very personable, but in and out like the wind. I know that this is 2019 and doctors are working under pressure from the insurance companies. But, get more doctors if needed to avoid the 45 minute wait and once the patient is seen make it quality time. read more

Extremely unprofessional staff and management. Sent my daughter for evaluation of molluscum. It failed treatment given my pediatrician. Dermatologist suggested a medication generally used for genital warts that we were advised may or may not work. I called twice to speak with physician and was told you should have been here yourself instead of the nanny. Dr Duncan does not call back patients. I had no idea the entire staff is unprofessional and dismissive so I called back to speak with office manager who then called back my office instead of me and relayed the same message. when going into this provider they will tell you that insurance does not cover Milliea removal, considered a cosmetic procedure. That may be true in some cases, and not all insurance is created equal...they told me this I wrote a seperate check for the removal and came home and called my insurance company...YES Milliea removal was covered ..I called them back and the billing clerk Sharon was somehat rude,would not submit all charges and i had to threaten to cancel my $50 check and make her file that claim, stated that she would reverse charges after talking to insurance company but if it come back not paid my charges would be increased to 200 instead of 50...was not please with their or the rep. billing..My insurance paid a 100 percent and they got paid more money than my little $50. So before going in for Milliea removal , pleaseall your ins company and verify your own benefits and please be diligent in getting them to file your claim. I have considered filing a complaint with The State Board...UHC Heathcare states they are not to collect money where none is due...Aganist their contract...DR V was fantastic, did the job.. read more
