Great staff and physicians. I always feel like family when I go there. Highly recommend. I usually see Dr. Choo.

THIS PLACE SUCKS. They have committed two counts of insurance fraud by billing me for services I never received. When I called to reconcile, the front office manager and her associate Alex cursed me out and hung up on me. Completely unacceptable. Left such a bad taste in my mouth, I almost let my daughter walk in there and give them a piece of her mind. Not only this, doctors are impatient rude and unqualified. Place is a joke. read more

1st of all: DO NOT GO THERE: Advanced Eye Care has a HORRIBLE attitude and so does the rest of the staff in both location; Randolph and Wayne. I took a 1/2 day off from work and drove 40 minutes each way only to be told there was a mix up and I had no appointment! Had they own up to there mistake I would've let it go but they went out of there way to put the blame on me every step of the way. they charged me $120 for contact lenses fitting session which o had to force them to refund on my AMEX. They still would not release my prescription and now I have to pay for another eye exam for a new prescription. there's more outrageous things I can talk about but I need to go call my insurance co to register my complaint to them. read more

Dr Reing is the worst! Can't be bothered answering questions and has a better then everyone attitude. He did not consult my cataract surgery well, and messed up my right eye then really didn't seem to care or wanted to hear about it post surgery, the person that sets up the surgery and do consult is terrible. Most the front desk personnel were helpful except for the Spanish girl that threw my appointment card at me and had an attitude. Got my medical records and left the practice. read more

I've been going to this place for years. I love my doctor, super kind and very caring. The only thing I'd replace is the office staff at the front desk. If you ask her any questions she immediately gets annoyed. The only thing she takes interest is her big jug of water, which I find hilarious. I asked her about my contacts prescription and she immediately daggers back with what do you mean and immediately brushed me off so I left without a prescription. The doctors in this practice are top notch, very knowledgeable. I've been a patient here for over 20 years. Dr. Reing performed my Lasik surgery in 2000 and I'm still happy and still glasses-free. He's also performed surgery on members of my family. I've recommended a lot of my friends here. I trust these doctors so much and I'm glad that they have weekend and evening hours. It's a busy office and I know that it's because they provide excellent care. I've also noticed that a lot of the staff had been there for a long time so it must be a nice place to work too. read more

Dr Reing needs to read all these negative reviews and make changes to his front desk staff. Too many complaints about them. All are true. They really treat their patients terribly. Time to get some new staff who are pleasant. This kind of behavior is totally unacceptable. read more

This place is wonderful. I called and got an appointment within a couple of days. Check in was a breeze. They took all covid precautions. The girls at the front were nice and gave me some good information about what my insurance would cover. The doctor and girls that worked me up were professional, kind and VERY thorough. They have the latest technology and I felt that this examination was the best I've ever had. The optical was the same, nice, professional and helpful. I would definitely recommend Advanced Eye Care Center, Wayne location to my family and friends. read more

I would give them negative stars if I could! This place is small dingy and the people who work the desk are incompetent and awful to patients. Save your eyes and go somewhere else!!! Anywhere else!!! If you have to suffer through and go there. Do not leave the front desk. Watch extremely carefully what they put in your file. They are too busy yelling at elderly people who walk in ten minutes for appointments. Watched them literally kick out two women in their 70s 80s for being ten minutes late. Worst office staff ever. I came in today for the first time to see Dr. Reing for an annual eye exam. The exam went fine even though the doctor is kind of disconnected. My problem was with the assistant who was in the room with us (didn't get a name but the short Hispanic girl with black hair tied in a bun). She was the one entering notes into the computer and writing up my prescription. At first, I kindly reminded her that I wanted to change the brand of lenses I was using. I was using Air Optix colors and wanted to switch back to Freshlook colorblends. When I said that, I immediately saw the annoyance on her face because I was asking questions. She obviously did not like this and she's not trained enough to know that how the medical field works, patients ask questions. I didn't say anything at the moment and I went into the waiting room. When the prescription printed out, I saw she never changed it. I went up to her again to show her what I wanted and then that's where all her attitude began. She said hastily how she's done this for 10 years and that the lenses I was asking for are the same as my old one, also that the same company makes them. It's true Alcon makes both lenses but they're two completely different types of lenses. It's appalling that uneducated, uncompassionate people work in the healthcare field. This little girl has absolutely no patience for my questions. I have every right to ask for the correct prescription. And it seems like no one else in the office cared what was going on. Highly recommend Dr. Reing and his team, especially his optician Robert. I don't have complicated vision issues but I'm always treated like a valuable patient. My prescription for progressives is a little unusual and I'm somewhat difficult to fit for glasses but they have gotten right the first time, every time. Delighted that they have opened an office in Randolph, which is closer to my home than Wayne. read more

Hands down, the best eye care in NJ. After seeing them for an eye emergency for my father-in-law visiting from England, I am convinced this is the place to go for top notch ophthalmology. The office staff were all efficient, kind and very professional. Drs. Reing and Braunstein were patient, knowledgeable and provided our family with comfort and superb care during a very stressful time. The doctors and staff have always been nothing short of excellent in my experience. Dr. Reing has been my ophthalmologist for many years. He is super knowledgeable and a highly skilled surgeon. My Lasik surgery changed my life! I have also been seen by Dr Abessi and Dr Choo, both very friendly and professional. My father had a severe Glaucoma and Cataract on both eyes. From our first visit with Dr. Reign we felt comfortable with his performance. He made us feel comfortable and at ease by taking the time out to explain and always double checking on his diagnose. He perform the surgery with excellence. My father had a inflammation on one eye because he mistakenly stop one of the drop too soon after surgery, It was on a Saturday afternoon I called left a message and received a call back immediately and Dr. Choo, the doctor that was on call, went back to the office to examine him to be sure, that all was well with him. Great experience starting with setting up an appointment with Marisol P that always helpful in accommodation to Dr. Reign. The worst place possible, I made an appointment for my son, I pulled him from school for a 1:30 appointment. When I get there the receptionist's are simply awful they said my son's appointment was never entered into computer they had no record of my son even though 3 Days earlier I gave them all his information. They told me they have 4 new patients and they were not excepting any more new patients and sent me from their office without so much as an apology. I left very angry and went to Walmart best place ever. Do not go to this doctor they were unprofessional, rude and just horrible. read more

Agree with Tricia D. Dr Choo is great ophthalmologist but the front staff are very highly incompetent. The doctor asked me to call in information about my daughter's contact lenses so she can finish writing the prescription and when I called the lady took the info. 2 weeks past and still didn't receive it so I called again and the staff said it wasn't taken care of. Asked me to call next AM when doctor will be back and look for her (Marisol). But when I called back, she didn't even take care of it. I was put on hold multiple times with different people picking up but no one competent enough to take the info. Besides beyond incompetent, one of them was rude and put me on hold for 10 min on purpose. I had to call again and ask to speak to the office manager. I'm still waiting for the prescription. My choice, I'd give ZERO stars read more

I have to say at this point I'm giving this place the benefit of the doubt with a one star. If you like being frustrated and not getting return calls, this is the place for you. I was there September 8. The girl at the desk insisted I give her both my vision and my med card, "in case they found an issue with my eyes" and had to use my medical insurance. Against my better judgement, I gave her both. I was there for a normal annual eye exam. First time visit. The doctor was nice enough; I left there and I get a bill in the mail from my medical insurance company, with a copay attached to it. Mind you, I pay for separate vision insurance which covers 100% of annual exams. They should have billed to the vision insurance card. I have tried unsuccessfully for over three weeks now trying to get this corrected. They do not return phone calls, i actually went there and the "Billing" clerk wasn't there. Again, I was assured I would get a phone call. Two weeks now and nothing. I chose the option today to "make an appointment" to get someone live on the phone. Was told they would give my message to Joceyln, the billing clerk, to call me. End of day, no phone call. I am lodging a complaint with the insurance company. I am now looking for an office that employs staff who are courteous enough to return phone calls and do their job. Not easy to find these days. When I do, I'll be sure to write a rave review. read more
