While purchasing $800 glasses from an optometrist once and getting partial coverage from insurance is a necessary thing, it is not always a budget friendly option. Fortunately there are online options available to order with a prescription. I know that these offices are reluctant to share prescriptions due to the increasing use of these online options. But they are in fact OUR prescriptions. When my daughter called for the PD #, NOT an expired RX, they would only offer it for $25. That seems absurd since it is her medical history. And quite frankly none of their business what she will do with her OWN records. But to assert that it would be a liability for them to give that number to her is asinine. Their conversation escalated to unreasonable proportions because of the staff's incredibly condescending responses. We will not be doing business there again. Unfortunately they couldn't see the value of doing this courtesy.

She is pleasant and vivacious and does a thorough exam every time. She listens to my concerns and when she recommends a drop or performs a procedure, I have a good feeling inside that i am in good hands. And she knows what she is talking about, because in the following days and weeks my eyes respond to the treatment and I feel like a million bucks. My neighbor had his cataract surgery done by her, and now he is better than 20/20! We are so lucky to have her in our 'hood. And, by the way, whoever wrote the last review sounds like she has never seen an eye doctor before. Dilation does *not* change the prescription of your eye (optics is a section of your physics book you may have neglected to study!), and no doctor will perform surgery on you before examining you first! Trying to navigate the imaging centers,insurance,and scheduling of follow up scans has been an unfavorable experience. Things never go smoothly and require multiple calls and inquiries. I have been in healthcare for over 40 years. My recommendations are for this practice to have a navigator to assist patients in getting appointments for scans,and and to have social service support for patients and family members going through this horrible cancer journey together. A year and half later, and after two consecutive nights of crying in pain, I walked in to the pediatricians office demanding for a referral for a podiatrist.I called the number he gave me and made the appointment the same day.Staff was very courteous and pleasant over the phone. On the day of the appointment,I picked up my daughter from school and googled the address and lo it was less than a block away from where we live.I wonder how I had missed it.After filling out the required forms, had to wait for another 45 minutes and by then I was starting to get little impatient.There were atleast 10 more patients in the waiting room We were called in and there stood a man with the friendliest face ever.In less than 2 minutes he and my daughter were best friends and she was happily explaining to him about how and where it hurts her etc etc.Once he was done talking to her he explained to me that her feet were very flat and she would need to wear inserts for a year in her shoes to fix the arch of her foot.He took us to another room where he measured her foot with a scanner.He made everything seem so much fun and he even explained to her about the inserts and how if she wears them every day her boo boos would go away.My daughter is just 4 and honestly he didn't have to explain to her.But he took the extra time to create the rapport with her and treat her like an adult. Few weeks later, we received the call from his office that the inserts were ready and we could come in and have my daughter try them on.Again spot on attitude from his staff and he again reiterated to my daughter how important it was for her to wear these everyday and although it might not be so comfortable first couple days she will get used to it. My daughter has never complained about these inserts and reminds me if I ever forget to put them in her shoes because her doctor told her to wear them everyday. Its been two months since she has been wearing her inserts and she has never complained of her aching toes since then. Do yourself a favor and go see Dr Welch if you ever need a podiatrist.He will fix you right up.Doctors like him are rare.

I can honestly say I would travel long distances if needed just to see him, Dr. Welch thank you to you and your staff for all that you do. I would recommend this office and Dr. Welch to EVERYONE... There is VERY little to no wait at all to go into a room after checking in, every room is clean and spacious.
