Seems like nobody is happy in the Dartmouth office from reception to the doctors. Wait times are unacceptable. Upon entering I noticed the waiting room was full I asked the reception if they were behind thinking I would reschedule if so. She said no they were on time. First, let me preface this by saying that Dr. Lashkari is a skilled doctor who excels at giving shots for wet macular degeneration. That being said, if you make an appointment here, clear your schedule. The wait times are off the charts. I bring mom here monthly for injections and have taken to bring her after I leave work so as to minimize the time I have to take off. Although still unacceptable by professional standards, I'm not surprised by the wait times at the end of a day. But today? Today I made a morning appointment because it was a holiday (Columbus Day). And here I am. With mom. Almost an hour and fifteen minutes into the appointment time without her shot yet. C'mon now. It's not even that busy. Could you at least find a way to compensate me for 12 days of time that I spend each year bringing an elderly woman to you to try to preserve her vision? read more

Dr. Botelho did my cataract surgery (both eyes, two surgeries) and I had a fantastic experience. The surgery center is run like a well-oiled machine -- it's really impressive how fast they move people along. All the employees I met were wonderful. Especially Jessica, who helped with scheduling and answered ALL my questions with a smile, and Sandy, the nurse anesthetist, who is absolutely amazing at putting in an IV (my veins are notoriously difficult, and I didn't even feel a pinch). read more

This has been one of the most miserable optometrists I have ever seen. First of all I needed my contact prescription for my right eye. The prescription was written for my left eye. Jessica DeMedeiros insisted no prescription existed for my right eye...just my left. Piece of cake...right? Just check with the doctor and get the prescription for my right eye. Yahoo...they did. Then they proceeded to send the script with an experation date from 3 years ago to my provider. 1800contacts called to tell me what they sent was expired. But they were going to call the doctor to get that corrected. I called and spoke to the doctor and she admitted her 2 mistakes. She assured she would call and fax a new prescription to 1800contacts. She did. This time with no dates. Now she is supposed to faxing ANOTHER script with dates. Thank you Dr McQuay. Never again. read more

I was referred by Dr Scott Corin my opthamoligist in the same practice ( he is an excellent physician) for Glaucoma and cataracts. His name is Dr. Rad. He did a combined surger in one eye. I have been in excruciating pain for the last 7 months. He kept denying I was in pain or there was any pain involved in this surgery......I finally got a second opinion in Boston. Based on all of the new procedures for my condition over the last 10 years he botched the surgery and I've been told it can't be repaired. Please dont go to him! read more

I am a long term patient of Dr Scott Corin. I have always received great service from him and his staff. He also performed successful cataract surgery on my dad. My dad who is getting up there in his years had a double vision issue. It happened in the early evening and I took him to the ER. He spent 5 hours in the ER and they sent him home with no diagnosis. We went to advanced Eye the next morning and Dr Corin diagnosed him in about 5 minutes. If you have an eye issue go to Advanced Eye. read more

Terrible. I'd give no stars if I could. I've been a patient for years & randomly got hit an almost $300 fee because it was MY responsibility as a patient to obtain a referral for an appointment back in October. I've never heard of that being a patient's responsibility & the woman couldn't even explain to me what the referral was for! You could replace Jessica from the Laser Surgery Dept with someone with solid qualifications ... Jessica was impatient, rude and sarcastic ... incompetent. We choose to terminate with Advanced Eye, North Dartmouth specifically because of our experience with Jessica. She isn't qualified to work with the public. I tried to speak with someone, but was actually disrespected by the individual/process. (He sounded like he was 18 years old.) We have used Advanced Eye forever (20+ years?) Very nice and fast,called and got an appointment the same day.Saw Dr.Lee,she was warm and friendly with a great smile.Office waiting area very nice and not crowded.was seen about 10 minutes after I checked in.The woman who did my eye exam was extremely nice,didn't catch her name,very pretty with dark hair and deep purple streaks,was thorough and cheerful as well.Definitely going next year again for my annual check up.Highly recommended.Only thing is I peeked in the optical shop,and there doesn't appear to be a huge offering. read more

The Dartmouth office is totally unprofessional and inconsiderate of its patients. I had an 11:00 a.m. appointment for which I arrived on time. I wasn't called from the waiting room until 11:30. Then, a very nice nurse performed an initial exam. I was then told to go back to the waiting room and someone would call me to have pictures of the backs of my eyes taken. Only then would I be put in the doctor's queue. I heard another patient complain at the desk about that her appointment was at 11:00 and it was now 12:15. The nurse said they were still working on 9:30 appointments. With that, I also went to the desk and told them I was leaving. The staff member very nicely apologized and said she would reschedule. If I could give NO star If I could. Botched cataract operation. Went for prescriptions 2 times after surgery. When I left optical shop each time I told them glasses were not right; they told me prescription was fine and I'd get used to it. Prescription was WRONG. management and front desk are rude. On third visit I asked to see office manager who had nerve to say to me "Why do you keep coming back?" Gee, I don't know. Maybe because I paid for appointments and glasses and you have my money? And you still didn't get it right? Stay away from this place. It could cause you your eyesight. read more

Fantastic. They have a nice selection of frames (I have no clue what that last reviewer is talking about as to that). The customer service is good, too. The lady that was helping me is quite the saleswoman. She was able to do what the folks at my home optometrist weren't able to do: talk me into $85 anti-glare protection, lmao. If I could leave 0 stars I would. The Dartmouth office is very unprofessional. I had an appt a month or so ago. They left me in waiting room for an hour, the dr wasn't even there and they made me sit there and wait. Then they call me to schedule another appt when I told the secretary I wouldn't be returning she really didn't care what I had to say and said oh the dr has been away. Went in for an eye exam about a year ago, wasn't impressed. Called today to schedule an appointment and ask if I could get a trial pair of contact lenses to hold me over until then but was told no because my prescription was expired. I called my previous eye doctor who I hadn't seen for 2 years and they had no problem giving me a trial pair of contacts to last until my appointment. I will not be back to advanced eye center. read more

I see Dr. Lashkari who is an eye specialist. He is the best. Knowledgable, thorough, and spends the necessary time with you. He definitely doesn't brush his patients out the door. He is an excellent doctor. read more

The wait time is horrendous! There is obvious over-booking going on here. My husband's appointment was for 4:00; it is now 5:08 and we were just told it will be another 15 minutes. We are very conscientious about arriving on time, only to have our time totally disrespected. I would suggest checking around for a facility that has more respect for patients' time. read more

I had my eyes examined, and then on to pick out my eye glasses -- everyone was super nice, got my glasses and am happy. It wasn't until I called up a couple months later to ask for my PD number for my prescription, that I am now writing this review. I spent a lot of money on glasses and want another cheap pair (from another provider) but need my PD number to get them. I first was nastily told, I need to pay $15.00 for it, and that I would have to bring my new pair in to them so they can be sure the PD is right. Then they said they are required to do that per MA regulation. Because of how I was spoken to and the fact MA regulation was sited, I decided to look it up myself. It's exactly the opposite. In MA they are REQUIRED to provide me the PD number for FREE if asked -- I called back and a 2nd person, nastier than the first eventually gave me the numbers. Great doctors who really care about their patients. I have only ever had great experiences at the Dartmouth office. I have seen Dr. Corin and Dr. Lee and they are always very helpful. I would strongly recommend this practice to others read more
