From the initial consultation, the staff were friendly, patient and understanding of my nerves. On the day of my surgery, Dr. Giles was great and made me feel comfortable the entire time. The procedure took less than 20 minutes and was painless. After the procedure I experienced very little discomfort and after a few days, any discomfort I did have completely went away. I experienced dry eyes for the first week, but since then that has also gone away. Being able to see is the greatest gift and I am beyond grateful to TLC for giving me the gift of eyesight. If you are nervous to get LASIK, know that I was too, but wish I hadn't been so nervous because in the end I had such a positive experience.

The staff are all friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and answered all my questions and concerns throughout the entire process. I knew exactly what to expect going in and coming out of surgery thanks to them, and the surgery itself only took about 10 minutes. I've had fillings that were way worse! 0 pain or discomfort. I'd describe the surgery itself like a slightly more complex eye exam. I opted to go with lasik over PRK, after talking with Dr. Rose (who is absolutely outstanding) and I was seeing clearly just a few hours later! Never once did I feel pressured or under informed. I couldn't recommend these folks enough! I struggled with vision since the 5th grade, and for the first time in my life I can just wake up and see!!! I had a disappointing and truly weird experience with this LASIK provider. The staff used high-pressure sales tactics, pushed a credit card I wasn't comfortable with, were wildly disorganized, and were unclear about scheduling and payment plans. The day of my surgery, they claimed I needed another eye exam--despite already having one during my initial consultation. They got me confused with another patient and the woman who worked there seemed like she was confused about everything happening around her. Wasn't feeling super confident at this point but I was already there and prepped. A minute before my surgery they suddenly decided I was no longer a LASIK candidate because of some major issue with my eye they doesn't seem to exist according my actual eye doctor and they didn't appear to see during my eye exam during the consultation. Weird? They recommended a different more expensive procedure instead. That was the final straw. I walked out and requested a refund for the deposit I already provided them. The overall experience was disorganized and sales-driven rather than patient-focused. I'm glad all of that happened actually because I didn't bother to look them up on BBB until after all this happened. Had I seen the BBB complaints before hand I would never have proceeded on the first place.

Having had gone to the same doctor since 5th grade when squinting was no longer an option, I was sad and nervous about having to find someone new. Someone who knew nothing about me or my endeavors with eyesight. The Center for Sight was recommended to me by a co-worker. After putting it off for a while, I decided it was time for the world to come into focus and made an appointment. My old office was located in a small, quaint building. . . so when I pulled up to this oversized, renovated, historic mill in Fall River, I was intimated and lost. After finding the parking lot located in back of the mill and walking up one flight of stairs near an old smoke stack, I walked into a transformed floor of the mill and felt much more at ease. There are several MDs and ODs located in this office. I see Cristina M. Lopes, O.D. and recommend her with much enthusiasm. I have had two appointments with her over the past 2 years and am very satisfied with the care I received. She takes time to review your health and social history, your vision concerns and needs, and does a great job explaining everything throughout the whole examination. She's very sociable and puts you at ease. I'm usually concerned about overcorrection with my eyesight. . . I'm not a fan of feeling queasy while adjusting to a new prescription. I'm always provided with a sample script of my contacts to trial prior to ordering a year's supply online, which is something I was not provided with at my old place. This past visit, I decided to order a new pair of frames along with my new prescription. The staff on duty to help with this process are fantastic. Without the support of a friend or family member to help choose a new adornment for my face, they provided a much needed helping hand. They listened to what I was looking for, didn't get frustrated when I decided what I wanted was really not what I was originally looking for, and were as excited as I was when I finally found a pair I liked. They were well versed in explaining what my insurance would cover and were very flexible with downpayment options and pricing. And, whether they meant it or not, their praise over how good the glasses looked on when I received my final pair, gave me a huge boost of self esteem and the confidence to wear them more often than I do. Only 4 stars due to location and difficulty parking/finding the actual office. 5 stars for the staff and services they provide!
