Wow, what a great experience working both with Sam and David. My garage door spring broke and even though I called late in the day, Sam scheduled me for the next morning. He gave me a quote over the phone, and his pricing was very competitive. David arrived on time and not only replaced the broken spring, but also checked the garage door and opener and made some adjustments to make the door operate at maximum efficiency and safety. He also made sure that the door and springs were perfectly balanced, and gave me some maintenance tips and advice for installing a weather seal . This company went above and beyond the garage door company I used the last time the springs broke. The springs broke on my garage door and I wanted to get it fixed asap as it is the main entry/exit point of our home. I called 3 different places on Yelp and this one was the cheapest plus they said they could come fix it on the same day. The gentleman that came over was very nice, respectful, and did a great job. From my first interaction with Sam the owner, to the day of project completion by his installer followed up by Sams personal call to ensure satisfaction, this has been an above and beyond customer experience. When I first called to inquire about pricing and/or an estimate, I was able to text Sam a photo of my garage doors and have a return call within the hour. He compared an earlier estimate I had received (I have never heard from that company again btw or another company that that showed up same day and then never emailed me an estimate) and offered me a better product at a better price. Once we agreed to do business, he came to meet with me in person the next morning. He measured precisely, I happily paid my deposit and began cleaning out my garage in anticipation of my custom ordered doors in 3 weeks. There was a minor addition error that I noticed later that day and Sam answered the phone and texted me a corrected balance. Bonus-doors arrived about a week early and I was called the day before the install. I could not be there until the very end which was not a problem at all. His technician installation guy (sorry I don't recall his name) was super personable and professional. He was so incredibly informative, I didn't realize until after he had left that he had SWEPT out my garage!! He demo'd my garage doors automatic opener, helped me choose my pin, set it, showed me how the WiFi worked with the cell phone to open and close the door remotely and put the lightbulbs in. A couple hours later, Sam is calling to see if I am happy with everything and if I have any questions. My doors look amazing. Call these guys. They do great work and are responsive. read more

If you're looking for a professional, competent and reliable garage door service, look no further. My Liftmaster 8550 stuck in the open position and nothing I did resolved the problem. I called Advanced Garage Doors and "Sam" said he could respond the same day. He arrived and performed a quick adjustment and everything worked fine. However, what neither of us knew, the electronic circuit board was malfunctioning (read: it was kaput). So the garage door locked open once again hours after Sam had left. I called and he came back immediately and determined that, indeed, the circuit board had gone crazy. I called Liftmaster and, fortunately, they agreed that the circuit board was bad and sent me a new one under warranty at no cost. Better yet, Sam came back and replaced it and reprogrammed all my remotes and my vehicles' openers. And he said he would not charge me any additional money more than the initial charge. Sam is, in my opinion, one of the most capable, honest and truly professional individuals I have met in many years. Just the best. I couldn't let him do all that work without giving him an additional stipend. He did his best to refuse saying that he honestly couldn't accept more, but humbly and politely accepted when I wouldn't take no for an answer. I will recommend him highly to all my friends and will definitely call him again if I ever have another problem. read more

Outstanding customer service and very professional. Our garage door spring cracked and broke when I was trying to open the door to leave for work. I did a search for a garage repair company close to me and Advanced popped up with great reviews. I called and explained to them what happened and they gave me a fair cost and were available the same day. They came over at 4:45 on a Friday afternoon and seemed happy to be there! Excellent work. Due to car hit, the wood panels were broken. I fixed the broken wood panels myself, and Sam put the panels back in place and tuned up the door. I am very happy that I did not do the job myself as I could get injured by the high tension cables. He was professional and finished the job very efficiently. Price was also better than others. Sam at Advanced Garage Doors in Lorton, VA, is knowledgeable, dependable, fair in price, and pleasant to work with. He supplied and installed my garage door as a subcontractor when the garage was renovated. After over a year--one day, the door would not open--and my car was inside. I called on a Sunday and he came out the following morning. He got the door open and put it back in good working order. (Evidently, the problem was caused by work done the previous day, using garage electrical outlet.) Our single garage door got dented when I was replacing one of the springs that broke. NOTE: I now know that both should have been replaced at the same time. We contacted Advanced Garage Doors who gave us an estimate. The day of our appointment, Shawn called and said that the panel they received was cracked. He came out anyway because in between the estimate and that day, the big spring on our double door broke. Shawn quickly replaced it and the rollers. He also did a tune up. Today he came back and replaced the panel on the single door. He did the rollers and tune up. The door was not aligning and he worked to figure out why. The problem...?...me! Because I only replaced one spring, it was jacked up. Shawn quickly replaced the other spring, made a couple adjustments, and it works great.
