The sales consultant was all about closing, with a lot of pressure. Paid $7000.00 and 3 years later the hair transplants are falling out. I went back for a consultation and they advised to proceed with another transplant, with no break in the cost. I thought to myself why spend more money when the procedure didn't work first time around. To summarize, the doctor was not very sympathetic with my situation, leaving the office with total disappointment. There is always hope. Especially when you decide to take control and make that first step towards renewing your own self confidence. Here is my true story. I was balding at 24 years old. Every shower scared me, as a fist full of my hair fell into the shower drain. It was destroying me. I became so self-involved that I lost my girl. I hated what was happening to me and was so afraid of the future. So, when I turned 25 and nearly bald, I took a matters into my own hands and traveled to Los Angeles for a hair transplant. Back then in the1990's they took a slab of skin with hair off of the back of your head, extracted hair follicles, and transplanted them using what they called " dilator's". They were simply large needles placed everywhere on the top of your head. It did work, but at the time, they were like plugs in a Barbie dolls head. Totally unnatural looking. So fed up with American doctors, after a year of healing, I found a Doctor in Canada that did "micro" plugs. I thought, hmm, maybe he can fix this. So, I traveled to Canada. Dr. A. did what he promised and not only corrected the American doctors work but reduced the scar on my head. After that, I lived 20 more years with a full head of hair. But now time is catching up. I am now approaching 55 and my hair is balding as if I am 24 years old again. My young nephew is going through my old challenge. He told me of "Advanced Hair" and the new technologies. I came here for two FUE procedures both the doctors and nurses are amazing. The process is smooth and they explain in detail what's happening in each and make sure you understand what's going on. My hair loss was minor but I wanted to take care of things before it continued to get worse. I did my initial consultation with Beth in Portland and she was very friendly and super helpful. She even gave me her personal cell phone! The actual procedure takes place up in Bellevue. Staff were kind, friendly, and made the process easy. It's going to be months before I can comments on the results but I'm very excited to see how things turn out. My only one minor criticism is there was a bag of stuff they sent me home with and not all items in the bag were explained (specifically the pillow cover and plastic mats). I went in yesterday to the Bellevue, WA office for a consultation only to be left in a waiting room with no explanation as to why the consultant was late. After 20 minutes I just left and on the way out was told by the receptionist that the previous client had a few extra questions. 20 minutes is not a few extra questions. When I returned home, I found an email from Advanced Hair. I expected this to be an apology yet it was an automated appointment cancelation email. I did a consult with Advanced Hair Restoration and a couple other local companies for FUE, and ultimately chose a different office in Tacoma (Northwest Hair Restoration). Reasons: - When I did the consult, it was with a salesperson and the doctor did not show up at all to comment on my specific case, which would have been helpful. - Northwest was less expensive AND offered complimentary PRP and Acell injections. But had a slightly longer wait to get appointments. - Some reviews for this company (Advanced) complained that the doctor doesn't do much of the actual surgery, that his staff do most of it. Advanced was a bit salesy and kept following up with me so I shared feedback on my experience. They responded by, surprisingly, by disparaging my doctor's DO medical degree and said things like: - "it would be difficult for the doctor to meet every person that comes in for a consultation" - "if you would have taken the time to come in person, you likely would have met with the doctor" (during the pandemic, I did a video consult at their request, and this shouldn't matter) - "doctors with more experience and more credentials are busier with surgery" - "if your doctor is spending hours on the phone talking to people he is not in the surgery" - "the choice to pick a D.O. over a M.D. just because he has more free time on his schedule doesn't seem like the better option" (note my doctor was actually booked out months further than this office) - "fairly certain your doctor does not harvest the grafts himself" (He did.) I found all of this super messy and unprofessional. It's simple -- meet with your patients, don't push a hard sell, be hands-on during the surgery, put me at ease, and don't disparage other doctors or your patients. I'm now 4 months post-surgery and couldn't be happier with Northwest as my doctor, the surgery day, and results so far. And no drama! No, thanks Advanced Hair Restoration. read more

I discussed a transplant procedure with them three years ago. They were quite a bit more expensive than Bosley in Seattle, AND made me feel just like a number. Which is why I went with Bosley in Seattle. No problem, went with Bosley. Got a very successful procedure. Which means, 1100-ish transplants at x-per-transplant cost. As far as I can tell, all worked, all went well. But $10,000 only goes so far. Doesn't cover "the crown". I knew that at the time. Bosley was very open about where they were going, and I'm very happy with the resulting look... compared to before. But... I'd like that "crown" filled in. And a bit more density in the front. "Advanced Hair Seattle" sent me ads for a secondary. I followed their ad. Seemed reasonable... rational price, etc. Click here to schedule an appointment. But then I get a nasty-gram from Papillon Anselmo, who cancels the appointment and tells me, "A secondary consultation is $250." Okay, no real harm, no foul, but really... a secondary consultation is three years later, during which I'd had an actual procedure done? Really? I don't see this listed anywhere on their website. Every mention of a consultation says "free", plus $250 OFF any booked procedure. Possibly it's buried somewhere there, but I can't find it. When I pointed out the discrepancy and suggested that this should be mentioned on Yelp, Papillon threatened me, quote: "I'm confused by your email. Are you threatening me because we charge a fee for consultation? If so I suggest you pursue the mental help you obviously need. If you are threatening me or Advanced Hair, you can expect to be pursued with full legal action! " Seriously, avoid these guys. If they have to hide behind threats, wow. Just wow. I had a hair transplant performed here. The operation went well and the staff did a great job, but there were a few aspects of the appointment that made me pretty uncomfortable. At one point during the surgery, I was watching The Dark Knight on the provided TV. I was alone with the head surgeon (I believe Dr. Di Ienno) when a black character was shot with a shotgun in the movie. Dr. Di lenno responded by exclaiming "Ohhhh black lives splatter!" Obviously this was a really upsetting to hear from someone currently in the process of operating on you. I also couldn't help but notice that apart from the two older male doctors I met, every other employee I saw working underneath them was a younger woman, save one. read more

I went here for a free consult. This is the email I sent after. Thank you for your time. I will most likely not proceed with the procedure at your clinic, below are the reasons as to why. I did not get to meet the dr. It seems the clinic is focused on volume over quality. A smaller clinic can do a better job for less money. There are excessive employees. I was told by other drs that the FUE method was not right for me, you said it was not an issue. I was quoted as needing Nearly 2000 grafts by other offices by doctors who actually touched my head. You quoted me 1200. 1200 would cost me the same as the 2000 elsewhere. The form asked if I had any other consults and who. Seemed strange and no one else asks. Your receptionist sounded like she was selling stocks to the guy over the phone. Kept telling him he wanted the FUE that he didn't want the scar. All I wondered was how much was she costing per year and how much of of transplant was needed to pay her for this. Service should sell itself. I wasn't really shown a lot of patient photos, I shouldn't have to ask. At the end when I didn't have any questions, instead of offering anything or saying anything the silence was deafening. I just felt like another number walking through the room. I spent the entire appointment with candy wrappers from your front desk in my hand. There was no wastebin and no one offered to take them. I had to ask at the end and the lady gave me a funny look. It's great for you if you can make money off all this impersonal service but it is not where I will choose to spend my money. At the very least I don't even really feel like a valued potential customer. I felt like all my money would go to your office rent, iPads and excessive staff so that dr Weiss can probably make more money than god it not make much of a connection with his patients. At the end of the day I need a skilled surgeon and not a bunch of gadgets. I don't get he chance to meet the surgeon so that might be something to consider because you just lost $10,000. Good procedure that doesn't leave line scar on nape. Make sure you use the finasteride, Rogaine, and/or the laser comb to stop anymore from falling out. Can you pony up $5000 or more? Or "you can stay bald," they said. The experienced doctor was promised to do majority of work, but the high turnover assistants actually remove the hairs and place them in the incisions. You don't know their experience; some are in training. The good doctor shows you where he will put the incisions, sedates you, and makes the incisions. He might not actually fill in the whole section he circled, but you're sedated and ready to be done, until it's growing time, and it's not filling in right. I was anxious when I first went in for an appointment not knowing if Advanced Hair Restoration could help me with my hair loss. As I approach my 60th Birthday I wanted to "push back" a little bit my ever disappearing hairline. They said they could help me and so I booked the operation months ahead to save up funds and make it possible. The operation was a success although I will not know for a year exactly how successful it was. My feeling inside is that it went real well and my follow up appointments were encouraging from what I see and from what the Doctors have said. If the Doctors are happy with their work then so am I! Besides the work they did on me the staff was so professional and pleasant. The receptionist was Lexie and she made me comfortable even though I was nervous. I had a 2,000 FUE hair transplant procedure done in March of 2017 here. I was told that it takes about 8-10 months before all of the transplanted hair grows back to the point where an evaluation can be made as to the overall success and look of the procedure. That said, It's July 2017 as I write this and I feel like my hair has come in well enough to consider the transplant a success. I'm hopeful of even more hair density over the coming months. Hair transplantation seems to be part surgery, part art and my doctor (Dr. Crawshaw) is definitely an artist in addition to being a surgeon. During the procedure itself which lasts the entire day, a legion of assistants do all of the hair extraction and much on the implantation, but Dr. Crawshaw personally worked on the front hairline. If I have any complaints, it would be that the initial consultation is very much a sales pitch. For example, if you sign up the day you come in for the consultation you get a $500 discount. But on the balance, I'm extremely happy with this business and the results. read more

I had a 1800 FUE hair transplant procedure done in June of 2017. I was told that it would take at least 6 months before all of the transplanted hair grows back to the point where an evaluation can be made as to the overall success and look of the procedure. In June of 2018, at my evaluation with Dr. Crawshaw of the transplant results, I am happy, a big improvement! The new hair line looks great and is a success. I also decided to use a laser hair growth cap (Capillus 272) 3 nights per week starting in Aug, 2 months after the procedure to enhance the growth. At my 6 months follow up appt., Dr. Crawshaw noted that my follicles look more mature that expected (a good sign in my opinion). My growth was ahead of schedule, which I was pleased to hear. Hair transplantation is part art and my doctor, Dr. Crawshaw, a talented surgeon showed off his skills well on me. During the procedure itself which lasts the entire day, 3 assistants do all of the hair extraction and much on the implantation, but Dr. Crawshaw personally worked on the front hairline.
