Chris and his team did an excellent job repairing scratches on the steering wheel of my BMW. Everyone tends to get these sooner or later but many upholstery shops don't do these smaller repairs. Chris does and at an affordable price. He also told me that they do other upholstery repairs as well and definitely try to do them in ways that have good appearance but reduce the cost. Also, definitely don't be put off by their shop being in Modesto, they do regularly stop by areas in the East Bay to do jobs (currently they come to Dublin twice a week) Would definitely use them again. read more

I called today to ask a couple questions regarding rebuilding a stock seat where the foam ripped. I didn't catch the name of who helped me but he explained the entire process and even mentioned the hourly rate and estimated time it would take. He explained they can rebuild the seat with a higher density foam and even how to strengthen the area of failure. Great customer service even though they are fully booked and I won't be able to bring the car until next time i'm in town. Went to a local auto upholstery shop and was told that the work I needed would be too hard to do as it is on the driver seat of the RV and would more than likely cost $800 worth of labor but that the work may be done by those that fix upholstery from a used car dealership (basically saying that the work will be cheaply done) Searched around and got the approximate info about Advanced Interior Restoration Services from a local auto/motorcycle auctioneers in Lathrop but didn't have the number. Found the number on the internet and I was initially hesitant to call but did. Lo and behold, Tom picked up and basically said that he couldn't give me a quote without seeing it and asked for me to text a picture on another number. Did so and Tom called back to ask as to when he can come by since they pass around different areas while servicing auto dealerships. Tom came by and took a look at the seat and gave me options and a quote of $250 which was almost 1/4 the price I was initially quoted for with another place that said it was too hard to do. We scheduled a time for his guys to come over and they did with their fully-contained van that had everything that they needed. They were in and out in less than an hour. I also asked to fix a few nicks on the vinyl dash cover of the RV and they did for an additional $25. Amazing job. See the picture. Color matched and could barely even tell that the seat and the dash were damaged and fixed at one point. I normally don't like mentioning prices on yelp but for the $275 I paid for something I couldn't do myself as perfectly has AIRS did for my RV, I don't mind sharing that info. Not having to think about the time when I ripped the tear on the seat and hearing about it from the Wifey.... priceless. Can't put a price on piece of mind. read more

My experience with this company has been an expensive disaster. Tom refinished interior parts for my Ferrari 512 TR and neglected to clean and prep the parts resulting in distinct green, yellow and brown hues in white leather. The parts were not finished to the edges and promised repairs to the parts were not done. I listened to a ton of excuses. I then returned a couple parts several times to fix the problem and they came back with damage and were still not complete to the edge. At first I told him to keep the 5,000 I had paid, return the last parts and we would let it die there. He insisted that he wanted the last invoice (875) or no parts. At that point I paid his ransom and sent him a subpoena for my money back. We wound up in court. The judge agreed with me. Watch out or you will be lied to and swindled. read more

When he arrived he informed me that it didn't look like a stain, but more like something had taken the finish off the leather. I did not think he would be able to put the finish back in the same exact color, but he did. When he left, my front seat looked brand new again! If I could give Advanced Interior Restoration Services ten stars, I would. I recently bought a 2002 Lexus es 300. The car was in very good condition except for the driver's seat. It wasn't ripped or torn, but it definitely showed 14 years worth of wear. I have no problem with owning and driving a used car...I just don't want it to look like one. I was referred to Chris and Eric by a friend in the car business. I don't think there are enough positive words in the English language to convey my elation with the incredible job they did in restoring the seats in my car. The driver's seat was the worst, but they cleaned and conditioned the back seats as well as the front passenger seat. They even included the leather on the console. I wish I had before and after pictures of the driver's seat...it looks brand new. These gentlemen excel at their craft and I cannot recommend them highly enough. I called Eric to redo the leather front seats in my tahoe. I was able to get an appointment reasonably quick without any issues. I was hoping for improvement but not perfection. Nothing redone looks as good as brand new right? WRONG!!! These guys did a phenomenal job on both my front bucket seats. They used an upgraded leather and it looks and feels better than when it wa brand new. In additon, Eric and Chris went above and beyond by completly refinishing the back seats as well. I was extremly impressed by the work. They were on time with their completion time/date estimate, reasonably priced and you can tell they really want to a good job and make sure you are happy. I was so impressed that 2 weeks later i scheduled an appointment to have the carpet replaced as well. This time I did not have a ride home. They offered to come to my house and pick up the vehicle AND they brought it home to me! Talk about awesome!!!!
