They always helped a little, but it was never great, and certainly not as good as when my knives were new. I figured I needed an expert but didn't know where to go. Yelp was very helpful finding Bernie's, which was close to home and super convenient. When you get there, you'll wonder for a minute if they even do small jobs like this because it's a shop that looks like it mainly deals with industrial equipment or something. But rest assured your blades are welcome, just go to the little office at the right of the shop. All in all, an amazing experience. For only $9, my two high end chef's knives are as sharp, if not sharper, than the day I got them. I dropped them off at lunch and they were even ready before the 4pm close. I very highly recommend Bernie's to anyone who needs any blades sharpened!

I asked for help from the helpful hardware man. I believe I was helped by the store manager, who was asking me questions like he was the customer and I was the employee. Why do you need 6 screws when it came with 12. Do you need 3/4 ? I don't know what is 35mm? Eventually, we both decided what screw that I needed, and I proceeded to make my way to check out. I saw that there was a sponge for 3.99 note in corner that this sponge has been priced 3.99 since 2/22. Not a bad price so I go to buy the sponge and screws. The lady checks me out and sponge rings up 4.59 And I immediately say wait the sponge is like 389 or 399. It's definitely under four dollars. She replies it rang up 4.59 so that's what it is. I said well if you would go look your price is marked differently. She said I can just tell you that this is what it rang up and this is how much it cost. I did buy it because I needed the sponge, but I went back and took a picture and showed the manager the same manager that helped me with the screws who is not far from the cash register and they both left about the fact that I went and showed them that it was 399 and she charged me 4.59. And said oh well Scott needs to fix the prices looks like Scott missed this one oh well. I don't know why they think that they're entitled to 50 extra cents. I just think it's shameful and there's plenty of Ace Hardware's. That have way better attitudes. If you're looking for a helpful hardware person do not go to this Ace Hardware

The pottery section was so well stocked with a bunch of cool ceramic planters on sale. Gorgeous annuals and perennials!! I scored a massive fern as well as pots of lush perennials to add to my little garden. The staff were the best part! This was Friday night after I'm sure everyone has had a long day, yet each person went out of their way to greet me and ask if they could help me find anything! Check out lady was lovely, too. This might become a weekly Friday night mid-commute stop for me. Oh, plenty of parking. The lot wasn't crowded at all.

I stopped in shortly after opening and purchased two 9/16" rubber washers for approximately $1. Since I didn't have cash, I used my debit card. The cashier informed me there was a $3 minimum purchase requirement. When I said I did not need anything else, a man I assume was the owner told the cashier to simply add $2 as "labor" to reach the minimum. I found it strange that I was charged an additional $2 for no product or service. Although it was only $2, it was still money taken from my pocket for nothing. After leaving, I recalled that businesses are generally prohibited from imposing minimum purchase requirements on debit card transactions. I called the store to discuss the issue, but the person who answered, whom I believe was the same individual, abruptly hung up. I then returned to the store, where he was waiting near the entrance. When I showed him information regarding the law as it relates to debit card minimums, specifically 15 U.S.C. § 1693o-2 (Durbin Amendment to the Dodd-Frank Act) he responded, "I was the one who hung up on you. I don't care. Have a nice day. Go tell your President." Regardless of the amount involved, what disappointed me most was the attitude and lack of professionalism displayed by the owner. I have always tried to support local businesses, but after this experience, I will not be returning. The $2 isn't the issue. The issue is an owner who apparently believes the rules don't apply to him and treats customers with contempt when they're brought to his attention. I hope the appropriate agencies and card networks share his confidence.

This review is for my experience with the Viva Tile line, which we used for the floor of another room. We picked a nice pattern from their selection but the sheets arrived with a lot of tiles misaligned. Basically every sheet had some wonky tiles, whereas this style is meant to feature clean, geometric lines. It took a long time to get a hold of them to discuss and we'd already started installing the tile by then because we were in a time crunch and not sure whether the problem was fixable. When we finally connect with the manager he admits they made the sheets incorrectly but that there was nothing they could do because they had already been installed--a really poor manner of addressing their own manufacturing defects.

However I am still waiting on tile for the last bathroom and it has been 5.5 months since I ordered it. I have emailed multiple people at the company, called, left voicemails and no one will tell me when my tile will be ready. The reason for me writing this review is that I am hoping someone at the company will see it and reach out to me since I have not had any luck getting anyone to message or call me back. It is a shame because the tile that we have received is beautiful, but give the insane delays and lack of communication I would not recommend.
