As a former television news reporter, I don't review most companies I do business with - unless they are VERY good or VERY bad. This is an opportunity to review a company that does wonderful work, goes above and beyond to make certain that everything is perfect before they leave. We hired Euro Paving to take up our old cracking cement driveway and replace it with pavers. We drove around looking at many different driveways so we would know exactly what we wanted. Euro Pavers owner, Wojtek, was quick with a budget. Their work was very professional. They finished on time and on budget. Once they completed the job, the cleaned up our yard and left everything in perfect condition! Our neighbors and others who walked by were very complimentary. Several months later when I realized that I should have asked them to place the drains from my downspouts under the walkways, Wojtek gave us a very good price for doing that tricky job. He returned and did an excellent job of taking up some of their tiles and digging a trench for where the drains would go. They replaced the tiles and as hard as I have tried, I can't see where they removed the tiles - their work is just that amazing! If I could give them 6-stars I would!!! They are the best!! Wojtek and his guys are the best. I hired them to install a small unilock patio. I spoke with 6 unilock installers and Euro quoted a very fair price. Even better, they told me they would get it done in 2 days when most others said 4-5 days. They communicated well and showed up when they said they would (a little early in fact). Other installers said I would have to patch around the patio when the install was done, but the grading and sod was all taken care of with Euro. They finished even faster than expected, and the end product looks great. They cleaned up well every day, were polite and considerate, and did everything they could to protect my lawn in the process. Wish there were more tradespeople like this. read more

I called Euro Paving with a last minute request to replace some broken brick pavers in our large driveway. They were able to slot us in their schedule extremely quickly and the work was completed at a reasonable price. What makes Euro Paving stand out is their customer service and desire to ensure everything is perfect with the project. The pavers on our driveway have been discontinued. We had a few replaced in the past by a different company, and they used a close (but not exact) match. When Euro arrived, they evaluated the area and made a great suggestion to take pavers from a walkway behind our house and use those on the driveway (which is visible from the street). They redid the back walkway with a new pattern using the non-matching bricks. Both look great and they checked in with me before leaving to ensure I was happy with the project. Since we have other time sensitive projects depend on this one to be done, and we cannot afford the waiting. We are regretfully not able to go with EURO Paving. I called 5 different concrete and paver companies to remove my crumbling concrete sidewalk and replace it. The kids are getting older and the walkway became a tripping hazard. Not to mention that it was the lowest point in the yard, so each time it rained or snow melted, the walkway became a river. I ruled out concrete quickly because it was just a matter of time before it cracked and I was back at square one. All the paver quotes were from authorized Unilock contractors, but their numbers were all over the place, a $2500 difference from low to high. Euro Pavers(Wojtek) came by for an estimate and was engaged even though it was a small job (40x4 walkway). More importantly he came on time, discussed ideas and emailed me an estimate within 24 hours. When interviewing any contractors, responsiveness is high on my list. I was impressed with his knowledge, the options for pavers all at the same price point, willingness to get the job scheduled soon, and ability to complete it all in a day's time. I sent a deposit soon after we met and we scheduled a start day within a week. The job was done in a day's time as promised and the installers were very professional. All the gents were professional and courteous. Wojtek was available the whole time was in constant communication with me. I never hesitated to ask questions as he always had answers and was willing to entertain my thoughts. The result is solid, stable, level, and luxurious yard. My Village's Public Works crew removed the brick pavers on my driveway apron in order to repair a water main break. After waiting two weeks for the Operations Manager of a landscape company to respond to my request, I called Euro Pavers. The owner (Wojtek) answered the phone, gave me a price quote the same day, scheduled the work for the next day, and came to the work site with the crew. The reinstalled pavers are solid, stable, and level. The crew was respectful of me, my property, and my neighbors. Wojtek is honest, knowledgeable, and friendly, and his work ethic is outstanding. I think i got Wojtek's C-team for a small $700 job of replacing brick pavers. When his team arrived, they asked me I had certain tools required to remove bricks, because they had forgotten one of theirs. When they started laying the bricks, I pointed out to them that the bricks were not in a straight line. Nor were they equally spaced. The team seem to object to my statement and attempted to redo it. Although still not in a straight line, it was much better than what they had done before. They abruptly left before completing the job. When I called to find out what happened, they said that they had run out of sand and they would be back in a couple of days. The owner returned a few days later. And put in the sand but did not apply any water for this sand to activate. I was left with sand blowing in the wind that wouldn't work because it didn't activate/harden. I also pointed out to the owner that the bricks weren't laid straight and were not evenly spaced, and his response was something to the effect that they didn't have to be because it's not a big job. What's more is that about a month later the bricks started to lose color (see pictures). The owner never responded to my complaints. I have a really hard time recommending this company. read more

If you're a minority, find another company to do business with and avoid this RACIST company like the plague. My husband called to inquire about having our backyard done. The address for this business says Chicago which is also where we live (about a 20 minute drive from our house) but once we told him our address, all of a sudden he doesn't "go that far" complete and utter b.s.! How? Do you only go 5-10 minute within your business address? Let me guess you also don't go out to the suburbs? Nope! You actually do bc there's a review on Yelp by someone who lives in the suburbs. So you're willing to drive 30-40 minutes to a suburb but not 15-20 minutes within the city? The truth is you draw the line at actual houses in the city if you deem them to be in neighborhoods that aren't lily white. Smh! You made a dumb assumption by our address and missed out on business. The euro paving team just finished our patio in the South Loop and it looks great. Their attention to detail is astonishing. We had a border as well as a curved wall and they did a great job curving the border around the wall, giving it a very nice effect. They sloped the patio correctly and no water pooled after the first time it rained. They also did a good job following the rules that our HOA had required. Lastly, they offer a 5 year warranty and they are an authorized unilock installer which means that unilock also offers a 2 year warranty. They came out to West Ridge and gave us a very reasonable estimate beating all others on pricing and and had a very reasonable quick start date which worked for us. And, boy...did they come through. In a day and age of mass irresponsibility with contractors, these guys set an appointment and showed up on time each day and did extremely quality work. Euro Paving just completed the reconstruction of my 15 year old patio, and my wife and I couldn't be more pleased. The old patio had settled badly over the years, but we felt it could be reconstructed. I had one contractor look at it, and he told me it was garbage, and had to be replaced entirely. He then quoted me a large sum to do it. A co-worker told me about Euro Paving. They looked at it, told me it could be reconstructed except for our small decorative wall and the stair outside of our rear door. They gave me a great quote, and they began work a few weeks later. They worked with my wife on stone selections and colors for the new work, and they arrived when they said they would. Their crew was polite, kept the area broom clean, and completed the work in a very timely fashion. They were able to take apart the entire patio and put it back together exactly as it was before.
